Chapter 404: A Passionate Reunion pt 2: His Wife.

"You said you'd be back, that you would come running back if a month arrived if you did not meet your goals!" Ikaris continued screaming at Sol while she punched and kicked at him. "Who are those people at your side, are they all you managed to find in a whole year and a half?!"

"Ikaris, let me explain-"

"What is there to explain, Sol Vestic!?" She fumed, summoning her sword and recklessly swinging it while he continued to parry barehanded.

"Those attacks could so easily kill me..." Fuhua lamented, seeing the power behind the swings as each of them left a golden tear in the void, reality itself was being tortured by her anger. "Master is amazing..."

"Milady," Arla stared. "I knew she was upset, everyone knew she was upset, but I never imagined to see this level of violence from her towards Master, I never thought it possible." She admitted.

"People get mad all the time, it is natural, considering-"

"No," Dina interrupted Yu shutting down her argument before it even had any wings to fly. "She means it is unnatural, Ikaris is incapable of this level of violence towards our Master, or... she should be... I know, anytime I felt even slightly upset, I would only look at him, and I would lose my will to hold that grudge.

"I do not recall being upset with him ever before, even now, I have been only worried, terribly worried with every passing day."

"You are both amazing for that, but as I see it now, the reason you are able to say this is because Lady Ikaris was there supporting you and shouldering the negative weight of Master's disappearance on her own, the same as she did when Arkadia and G.Gamma questioned his whereabouts." Alpha answered in everyone's stead.

"I never noticed any such thing." Arla looked around at the maid who was now sharing snacks while everyone listened and watched the fight intently.

"Exactly, the mark of a good leader is the ability to make her subjects feel at ease, even in the most distressing circumstances, do you understand, Lady Amastacia?" Alpha asked.

"I do, it seems we have all been unfairly resting our burdens on Milady's shoulders this past year-odd." She admitted. "I feel shame for not noticing," She spoke in a soft and humble tone.

"Ikaris," Sol caught her hand when she made another sloppy swing that nearly caught him. "Please, take a breath and let me try explaining."

"I do not want an explanation," She began struggling against his grip, writhing and wringing her hand until she broke free.

"Then what is it that you want, Ikaris?" Sol asked. "There's nothing I hate more than a disagreement born of a misunderstanding, you remember that much, right?"

"...I thought you were dead." She paused for a moment. "I thought you had been killed because Alpha announced jena's sudden disappearance, and then she stayed offline for an entire year, and you did not return, but now you come back and that woman... the one that feels like a beast is inside of her, she reeks of your scent, your sweat-"

"Yu?"

"No not me, her!!" Ikaris snapped.

"N-no, her name is YU-"

"So she is also named Ikaris?!" Ikaris's mouth hung and her mana began burnung the void around her, creating a dense atmosphere around the two of them.

"What a massive misunderstanding..." Xie began laughing. "I think I understand. "Sister XZhang, when Sovereign rescued you from the Grand Fae Dimension he left his robes around you, and rather than change or return it, you kept it!" He cackled, nearly toppling over in his seat.

"You and Milady share the same stature, and physical proportions as well..."

"Black hair and red eyes..." Dina mused... looking around at Yu while she tried her best to not move under the scrutiny of everyone.

"And this woman is without a doubt, Vatui," Alpha gestured to Grecia.

"She is also really pretty." Dina admitted.

"All of you, stop it," Xie chuckled. "Just use the codex if you want to know more, that is what I have been told since becoming integrated with the system." He pointed out, and everyone glanced at each other for a few seconds silently.

"I don't feel like it." Dina spoke first.

"Same," Arla agreed. "We are not jealous of them or anything, besides, we already decided that Master would be the one to intriduce us, so please forgive my bad manners in the meantime, we are all still strangers."

"Her name is not Ikaris, it is Yu, Y. U." Sol made wide and exaggerated gestures, dodging Ikaris's sword again and then catching the blade the moment her momentum had ended.

"Let go!" She snapped at him.

"Do I have to bleed for you to believe me, is that it, do you honestly think I would have stayed away from you, from our daughter if I had a choice?" He asked, keeping the weapon still while she attempted to drag it away, failing spectacularly.

"Stop this foolishness and stand before me calmly." Sol stared at her seriously.

"Is that an order?"

"Yes, it is." He narrowed his eyes, using their slave contract to force her to calm down. "I have some explaining to do, but you're making it harder than it needs to be, Ikaris." He released the blade when he felt the tension ease in his grasp. "So just listen-"

*Hic

"Ikaris..." Sol sighed when her sword disappeared and she lowered her head, sobbing and rubbing her eyes like a child. "Come to me."

"Master~" She continued sobbing as she slowly approached him. "I truly gave up hope, I know it was only a year, but prior to that I had never been apart for more than a month, I missed you so much that I started doubting your existence..."

"I am right here," Sol held on to the back of her head with a soft smile, kissing her forehead and then pulling her head to his chest with a deep sigh, exuding a radiant mana from within himself and covering them both with it.

"Sol," Ikaris slowly breathed in his scent. "What happened?"

"Are you finally ready to listen now?" He chuckled while she blushed and hid her face in his shirt, knowing she had embarrassed herself before everyone because of her overreaction.

"I-I am, but before we return to them..." Ikaris slowly raised her eyes, staring up at him longingly. "I have missed you terribly, my Love."

Her face was flushed, and her sigils all humming as his mana stimulated them.

"Oh...?" Sol smiled, holding her cheeks and slowly kissing her forehead again. "I understand."

"Understand what?" Xie sat forward, sipping and eating his snack, fully invested in what he was witnessing.

"Brother Xie," Yu stared at him in disbelief. "I take it you have never had a woman before?"

"I was a warrior of a dying realm, I have only ever dedicated myself to the fight, romance on the battlefield got many of my brothers and sisters killed after they made foolish sacrifices for the sake of their spouce and mate." Xie admitted. "Why?"

"It makes a little sense," Arla chuckled. "After seeing the way they have embraced each other it would take someone as romantically dense as you to not know what comes next." She continued laughing while Yu next to him snickered as well.

"Trapped since the dawn of Source, and lacking the emotional depth to realise the mutual feelings a man and woman share when they are right before you. "Brother Xie is still a little larvae that has yet to spread his wings."

"Eh?" Xie shook his head. "What nonsense is this?"

"It seems to be the truth though," Jena sighed and shook her head.

"Let's wrap everything up before we go any further." Sol raised his hand while Ikaris clung to him like a lovesick schoolgirl with her eyes closed and a soft smile across her lips.

"Of course," She turned her hand, holding it out to snap as well.

Simultaneously their mana expanded and mixed into one, becoming a singular phenomena as Sol accepted G.Gamma and Arkadia inside of himself a second time while simultaneously transferring everyone who had just been watching them inside.

A mere moment after they had all vanished, Umbra came crashing through a rift, stopping when he witnessed the space fold and then the mana disappear.

"I knew it!" He snapped. "If I had just been a second earlier...!"

"Nothing would have happened, my KIng." Giza emerged from the rift behind him. "I am sorry to admit this after everything you have achieved over the last year and a half, but Sol Vestic has grown far stronger than you again, and he has returned with people capable of fighting dark mana as well, you will need more time, confronting him would have led to your demise, Umbra."

"After everything I have gone through." He clenched his fists and spun, causing his long hair to dramatically wave behind him as he entered the rift again, emerging in the midst of a battlefield; a fight between two worlds over a moon they share.

"Your revenge against the Golden Godslayer, as well as your unsettled fight with the Goddess of Balance; they will have to wait once more, you need more power."

"Fuck!"
