The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 405: A Passionate Reunion pt 3: Talia.

"I always suspected that the bastsrd would return, so I never stopped growing, I even became so strong that the visitor as you called him, that man from outside of the Grand collective began fearing me, even though he was still stronger than I was." Umbra admitted with a long sigh.

"What is the point of even fighting that monster if he simply gets stronger every time?" He asked. "Why should I continue this poointless quest?" Umbra fumed, creating a small barrier around himself just as a ship crashed into him, and then emerging from the plastma of the explosion with a huff of irritation, holding a man by his throat and draining the life out of him using a skill similar to [Devour] which Sol had earned on Arkadia after fighting the god of golems. "So, are you going to give up after coming this far?" Giza asked. "Is this the end of your fued with Sol Vestic?" She quizzed him, holding his arm like a supportive mate while she stared at his annoyed expression.

"The end?" Umbra mused for several seconds. "No way in hell, never, until I have Sol Vestic under my heel begging me for mercy, I will never stop, and even then, I will keep going, Ikaris, and all of those other Arkadian gods, those visitors, every being in this forsaken reality, they will all suffer under my hand and die the death of dogs!" Umbra declared.

"Are you certain you are up to the task though, I have observed him a lot longer than I have observed you, and I can tel you, I have never seen Sol Vestic doubt himself like this before."

"Do you want to die?" Umbra asked, staring at the flush of her cheeks and feeling the warmth within her hands. "You..."

"What?"

"You met him again, didn't you!?" Umbra snapped at her, releasing the man in his grasp and grabbing Giza's hair. "You had less hair like this before, and your skin looks healthy again, you met that bastard behind my back!"

"Of course I did, I had to confirm whether he was the real Sol Vestic, after he ran off to that place I worried he would die-"

"Why the fuck are you worried about him dying there?" Umbra shook her off himself and pushed her away from his person. "Who's side are you even on? I thought you were my ally."

He seethed holding his hand out towards her and trying to absorb the light he could sense inside of her, the light that Sol had trapped there the first time she physically approached him.

"I am your ally, more than an ally, I gave myself to you, I am your servant, my King." Giza retorted, allowing just a sliver of the Golden mana to escape into his grasp and then cutting the flow, keeping her hair highlighted and her skin flushed.

"Then why did you do it?"

"Sol Vestic must die here in the Grand collective for my plans to come into being, that is a must, just as you have to be the one to kill Ikaris Vestic, the Goddess of balance."

"What plans are you on about again?" Umbra narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously, lowering his hand. "You have been mentioning them all this time but whenever I ask about it..."

"They are plans beyond your wildest dreams." Giza smiled.

"I get an answer like that." Umbra finished his sentence with a sigh.

"When did you become such a big complainer?" Giza tilted her head with a teasing grin.

"Around the same time you began betraying my trust." He amswered without missing a beat.

"You... trust me?" Her expression resembled that of a deer caught in headlights after hearing that response. "Do you truly?" She asked once more for reaffirmation.

"Fuck no." Umbra scoffed and turned his head. "So, Sol got stronger again?"

"Yes," She stared off into the distance, responding in a soft tone. "Many times more, he is close to entering the Realm of Primordial Divinity, it is only a matter of time."

"Well, as I have already reached Primordial, I just need to work harder than he does."

"That wll not be enough anymore." Giza shook her head. "After what we learnt through capturing and torturing one of theirs, we are certain that Sol Vestic somehow found a way to capture and hold an entire collective inside of himself, and as long as something of that scale exists within him it will provide infinite power to put it simply."

"That's right," Umbra caught a stray piece of debris and sat on it. "This is why he grows at a rate that I can hardly keep up to him when he is not putting in even half the effort, this is what happens when does,"

"There are always alternate methods to gain power, my King, you have simply yet to find them, but if I may be so bold," Giza began approaching him. "I might have a suc=ggestion which evens the playing field by a great margin."

***The Sol Collective***

"Big sisi, where is mama?"

"Well, milady went to meet a special guest, I believe they will come this way soon," Sara responded with a soft smile while she and Talia sat on the rock that the others had been on.

"Ck-ess..." Talia tried speaking the word she had never spoken before.

"Not quite right, you much allow the sound to come from here," Sara pointed at her throat with a tickling finger. "lock your tongue to the top of your mouth and pretend you are making fishy noises, then say (est)," She smiled at her, doing the action as a demonstration.

"Ge-"

"That is correct, now say... Master...."

"Master?" Talia leaned her head and began laughing. "Big sisi, funny!" She continued chuckling, but after she saw Sara stand and ignore her she turned around as well, there walking towards them she saw a tall man next to Ikaris, holding her hand amd smiling while they spoke quietly.

"I know you wanted to spend my initial return together," Sol whispered to Ikaris, standing in the grassfield that Ikaris had been in before his arrival. "But this-"

"Papa!" Talia leapt from side to side, prancing towards him as soon as she laid eyes on him.

"Master!" Sara slowly jogged behind the little girl.

"What kind of mother would I be if I deprive my daughter of a single moment away from her father when all she has done since forming her first words is speak of him?" Ikaris smiled warmly, watching Sol fall to his knees as the girl crashed into him, locking her hands around his neck and holding him tightly.

"Wow!" Sol wheezed when Talia began squeezing him. "What strength for a year-old kid!" He laughed out, slowly wrapping his hands around and embracing her as his tone softened and his eyes began watering.

"Papa!" Talia held on with all of her strength. "Papa!" She cried hysterically in is grasp, slowly kicking as if she was trying to go through his neck with her hug. "Papa~" She persistently called his name, full of energy as she buried her little forehead in his neck. "Papa!"

"O-Oh my goodness..." Sol shook after a few seconds of holding her, he could feel such purity coming from the child, so much love, he could sense the power behind her emotions, like wave upon waves of mana tearing through his walls she broke every defence inside of him and attacked his heart and soul directly.

"Talia," Sol began sniffling, while Ikaris slowly took a knee before him and wrapped her hands around them both. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, papa was a big meanie..." Sol buried his forehead in the goddess's neck, the same as his daughter was doing to him. "Ikaris..."

"Not every feeling can be conveyed with words, Love," Ikaris smiled, already crying as she saw Dina and Arla approach again from behind Sol. "Sometimes, you can only embrace your loved ones, and that will be enough to explain what your heart is trying to say, right?" She asked caressing his back.

"Yes," Sol answered heavily. "You're absolutely right."

"Master's family," Alpha gestured to Talia in his grasp, Ikaris holding them, and then Arla and Dina as the two of them rested their hands on his back. "They are the reason he left seeking help, and the reason he returned.

"That woman is weak, even for the margin of weak characters as far as I can sense, who is she?" Yu asked with her brow raised as she stared at Sara, watching her approach and stand at Sol's side, only to be dragged into the hug by Ikaris who understood better than most how happy she truly was.

"She is Uncle's adopted sister by title, and the little Lady's caretaker," Jena responded. "Sara holds a special place amongst this roster than not even Lady Ikaris would dare to intrude upon, she is accepted as family and protected with the most lethality, never speak ill of nor try to humiliate that woman in front of or behind his back." She warned them.

"Even me?" Xie asked, staring at Sara with a slight blush when she raised her head, smiling and chatting to Sol with her cheeks flushed and hernose red from already crying. "I would never harm such a beautiful flower."
