Thrown into a Zombie Apocalypse along with a Sentient AI?

Chapter 10: Different People, Different Perspectives-2

" Do as you wish. Just don't say that I didn't warn you."

" Come on, we need to go out either way or else we will starve to death. I can also use some of the new equipment that I have been tinkering with in the lab."

Both the first and the third person panicked simultaneously when they heard it. Although useful gadgets were scares, the things the other person makes was literally out of this world.

It's not like they were not functional but there was a weak correlation between functional and use for their current circumstance.

If these strange contraption were not actively trying to kill the person, it would either make their life a living hell or it would backfire so drastically that the person would start questioning why they used the thing in the first place!

" There is no need to bring out the big guns! I was just joking when I said we are running in supplies. We have plenty for the run and return with some food and other necessities, right?" The third one turned toward the first telling them with their eyes to parrot their statement!

" That's right! I don't think there is a need for you to get involved. You know we should store those up for a big fight. This is a standard run of reconnaissance and getting something to fill our stomachs. The less things we carry the better!"

" Are you sure? I worked really hard-"

" That's why save those for later. Let's go back and rest. We will have to sweep the lower floors in the morning so we should rest early."

Hence the three of them made up their mind to check out Theo's craft. It might be dangerous for other humans but these three had went through a lot during the past few years trying to survive.

Zombies have become a 'normal' part of their life that includes killing them on sight. Only those that were strong enough got to live and after years of this 'plague' most of the weak to above average people had already perished.

At the same time, in different part of the city many other factions were also curious about the mysterious object that landed right at the middle of the city.

As expected they too wanted to see the crash site hoping they could get lucky. The groups with lower number and those that were living a little far away had already given up.

With so many people getting out of their hideout, there was bound to be a blood bath because of their past conflict. There was also threat of being eaten by zombies.

Either way, they knew it was not worth their time. It might even help them in the bigger bullies fight each other. With such a event there was bound to a fight happening for the 'treasure'.

In a building closest to the crash site was house of the largest faction in the city may e even in a radius of fifty kilometers.

They were the defacto leaders but they were not tyrants. Being strong was a favorable stance but it would also bring a lot of heat on the person's back.

Their faction had managed to stand at the top only because their leader was a very smart man. He was shrewd and cunning keeping his friends close but his enemies even closer.

Through diplomacy and smart moves they had captured a large facility that was used to house rations for both army and civilians which gave them plenty of room to focus on expansion while swallowing their rivals.

The leader was standing beside rhe window looking at the crash site few kilometres away from their location.

The area was a large park which made the danger level of the site to be impossible. These type of open places was a haven for walkers as most of them were unable to leave the place during the initial outbreak.

The place would regularly host many music events and unfortunately, the night of the disaster was one when one of the most famous band was performing live for it's three hundred thousand fans!

He knew the place was crowded with zombies but despite the danger, he was thinking about a viable plan to minimize their losses.

" What do you think it is?" He asked the people standing behind him.

" It was definitely something I have never seen before. I worked for the government and was an employee for a three letter word organization. If something like this existed, I would have heard some rumours, you know how those places work right?"

" Maybe it's something extraterrestrial. Those things were a craze before this shit happened, now nobody even mention it."

" You mean aliens?" The leader said with a disapproving look.

" It's a possibility."

" I don't believe it. If my guess is correct we have a visitor from some undisclosed facility. No one would have noticed it if it didn't crashed like this!"

" Either way, we have to form a team to venture inside the park to find something useful. We will not only had to fight the zombies but also other factions so be prepared. I feel like we will find something that could help us."

As a leader he had made his final decision who were they to stop him. They were fragile old men still holding on to some semblance of organization before the fall but now they knew with this man, they wouldn't be able to use their political speech to brainwash the other party.

They started making plans of how to execute the plan. The small room is filled with people trying to come up with the most viable option to minimize the damage but nothing seemed to work. The kept listening to them bicker and talk over one another before he finally had enough and slammed the table to make them shut up.

" It's okay to have disagreement but I don't want to see this circus. Inform me when you have something feasible."
