Thrown into a Zombie Apocalypse along with a Sentient AI?

Chapter 9: Different People, Different Perspectives-1

While Theo Duskwood was struggling with his new reality, he didn't realised his arrival at the strange land had attracted the attention of many of natives.

A massive spaceship which was size of several foot ball fields was something no one had ever seen before. The desolate land was filled with unknown horrors, no one remembers the last time they saw something fly in the sky.

The trail of mountain like structure catching fire on impact with the atmosphere lit up the whole sky. It was bright enough for people within hundreds of kilometres to witness the jaw dropping spectacle with reverence.

Those that were far away knew even of they wanted to follow the trail they wouldn't be able to do it.

Ariella had to deploy it's modular disassembly program which led to several large intact facilities to seperate when they entered the atmosphere to lessen the load on the main frame.

Theo knew he had to eventually find all the pieces and hopefully some supplies if he ever wish to return back home but now he didn't even know where the home was!

Those different pieces of RedWing scattered accross the land making them the prime target for scavengers but Ariella had confidence in the defensive capabilities of the ship either way, she needed to do the maneuver of they wanted to have any chance of safe landing.

Even her core was seperated to many sections which would be helpful for her to control different parts. For now, she could only say the parts were running low on battery and instantly needed some sun light to recharge!

...

...

...

At the summit of the tallest building in the city, three people were staring at the crashed sight of the spaceship.

One of them was using a old binocular whose lens were littered with scratches but it was still functional. It was one of the most valuable items in their possession.

" Do you someone finally able to do it?" one of them asked facing the person who was holding the binocular.

" Do what? The most we can say is that it must be some kind of satellite that crash landed back to earth. It's too dark to see anything but we will know more in the morning."

" But according to my calculations, the thing is massive. I don't think any nation at that time were technologically advance enough to create such a large flying object. The shape when it lit up the sky was like a sting ray which doesn't match any known craft in the database." The third one added.

" Don't you know how the governments worked before the society fell? Isn't it their fault that we are living in this nightmare for years!" The second one whispered back almost holding themselves from exploding.

It was honestly exhausting to listen to self proclaimed scientist preaching hypothesis when the same people led the whole human race to the brink of extinction.

What's outrageous was that they couldn't even fix their mistakes dumping their blunders on others making the whole earth a living hell!

Only god knows how many walkers were roaming the face of the earth trying to eat them constantly.

" Why do you always have to fight whenever I say something? I am just telling you what I saw. We have to check that place to see if we could find something useful. Maybe it would lead to some breakthroughs in my reasearch toward finding a cure."

" Cure, my ass! Why can't you accept the current reality and give up such ludicrous ideas. What we need is more guns and ammo not to mention our supplies are running dangerously low. Do you think it's wise for us to venture to the center of the city knowing how much Zombies we will face?"

Both were having a intense conversation but they were whispering back and forth unable to vent their frustration through yelling.

Maybe these two don't get along but they knew the dangers of making large noises at night. The walkers were extra perceptive at night especially toward noises.

They could enjoy the luxury of not watching their back only because they were standing at a tall building shrouded in darkness but the main reason was they fought tooth and nail for this building clearing every single room one by one.

It was a enormous undertaking that took them months and a tons of supplies. Still such a large place was ideal for them to find new supplies.

Contrary to popular belief, the large buildings had very few zombies as most of them either jump out the window or ran outside to eat humans who were fleeing at the time of the catastrophic event.

Everyone alive remembered that infamous day when the whole earth fell. It was horrifying and the most devestating event in human history.

No one knew how many people survived the initial onslaught but the last official number was more than sixty percentage of total world population had either died or turned into mindless brain eaters!

" I will not force you but we are a team and there is three of us. What do you think about this?" The second one asked the first person who stayed out of their fight until now.

" Why don't we vote?" The first one made a suggestion which made the third one snort in displeasure still the person agreed.

They raised their hand to support whether they should stay out of it or should go and check out the crash site. Excluding zombies, there were other dangers.

Large scavenger groups and other criminal gangs that operate around them. They were sure every party in ten mile radius would want to check the crash site as they too would find something useful.

If it was a military aircraft, they would be able to procure some much needed firepower to deal with encroaching zombies. The larger the group the more zombies they would attract at night, the time when walkers were most active!

" Looks like we are going to the crash site tomorrow morning. I hope everyone would be ready before daybreak." The second one would have laughed just looking at the person's face but they control themselves.
