Transcendence System

Zedric got on the bus, found a seat for himself and focused his attention to the outside surroundings. The infrastructure seems similar to that on Earth, modern style buildings, and with a touch of technology. Probably the magic part comes from the energy source that runs the whole city - mana. Even the bus he is riding, including most types of vehicles, is fueled by mana, so there is minimal air pollution.

Mana is a type of magical energy that humans, and other living organisms, utilize for their own purposes. It is present everywhere, although the concentration of mana vary from place to place. When mana concentration reaches extreme density, mana itself may solidify and turn into mana crystals. These mana crystals become the energy source that humans use in almost all aspect of life, including Cultivation.

As the bus travelled through the city, Zedric became lost in his thoughts. He's still quite perplexed about the current situation. Although he had read a few webnovels back when he was on Earth, personally experiencing the transmigration made him feel confused, conflicted, and a whole lot of mixed emotions. Nevertheless he's quite aware that he has to adapt to the situation as soon as possible. He can only accept what has happened for now and move on to this new life.

The bus stopped and Zedric got off together with other passengers.

Azure Sky Academy is the school that Zedric is attending. It is one of the nearest school from their house. This school focuses on mind related magic. Every school has its own specialty and Azure Sky Academy specializes on psychic type magic.

As Zedric arrived on Azure Sky Academy, another student was waiting on the gates for him. This student looked pale and slim, with glasses on and wearing school uniform that made him look like a standard nerdy bookworm.

"Zedric!"

It is Zedric's best friend, Skydon Go. Skydon has been Zedric's classmate since middle school. They're pretty much birds of the same feather.

"How long have you been waiting for me? You shouldve just went ahead." Zedric asked as they walked side by side.

"I just got off the car when I saw you getting down the bus. I didn't intentionally wait for you, we just happen to have arrived pretty much at the same time." Skydon replied while smiling.

Their classroom is located at the third floor of the Senior High School building.

While walking towards their classroom, they had a small talk, their topic being just about latest trends, etc.

They entered the classroom and got on their seats while waiting for their teacher to arrive.

There were already a lot of students seated inside, chatting with each other in small voices.

The noise inside the room quieted down when a woman wearing high heels entered, her blue hair appeared extremely eye catching, making all the students focus their attention to her.

"Good morning class, today I will be teaching you a Psychic type magical spell - Telepathy."

She is Ms. Vela Persiana, their teacher on the course Psychic Spells and Related Studies.

"Last time, we discussed about the nature and logic about magical spells, the difference between magical spells and cultivation techniques, as well as the requirements in learning magical spells."

"Today, we will be tackling about the Psychic type magical spell, Telepathy."

"Telepathy is a way of communicating thoughts from one person's mind to another person's mind without using voice or signals. It is one of the classic type of magical spell that humanity invented for various reasons and purposes."

"The requirements for learning this spell is very simple, you just need to have cultivated a Psychic type magical art that will serve as the foundation of learning this spell."

"This is the runic inscription of the Psychic type magical spell, Telepathy."

Suddenly, a blue-colored magic circle appeared in front of Ms. Vela after she snapped her fingers.

"Try to memorize this runic inscription of the spell Telepathy and embedd it in your mind. That way, you'll learn the spell, and since you have been taught about the Blue Psyche Magical Art already from your Magical Art and Cultivation Techniques course, you'll be able to learn this spell after you visualize this runic inscription in your sea of consciousness."

All the students, including Zedric and Skydon, focused their attention on the complicated magic circle in front of them.

Suddenly, while Zedric is trying his best to memorize the magic circle, his system suddenly gave him a surprise.

[Ding!]

Just like that, Zedric learned the spell Telepathy in a span of a few breaths. On the other hand, his other classmates including Skydon are still doing their best to memorize the runic inscription. Their teacher, Ms. Vela Persiana is patiently waiting for the students while keeping the magic circle activated in front of her.

Zedric, although he already learned the spell due to his system, decided to pretend as though he is still memorizing the runic inscription because he doesn't want to stand out.

This went on for one hour and thirty minutes.

As time passed by, many students had already memorized the runic inscription for the magical spell Telepathy and embedded it in their sea of consciousness.

When Ms. Vela noticed that everyone had already learnt the spell, she snapped her fingers and the runic inscription faded and disappeared.

"Okay, that's all for today. We will be discussing the specifics of the Telepathy spell and I will be testing how well can you utilize the spell for our next class."

"You may take your break."

With that, Ms. Vela Persiana exited the classroom.

The students then started to have their break. Some went to the school cafeteria while others chatted with each other regarding the recent class.

Zedric is talking with Skydon, as usual.

They're talking about the new animation series that is trending on Redtube, a video sharing platform.
