Tyrant Emperor

Chapter 20: Bullying

"So, are you going to give us the silver coin or not?"

Leon walked quietly, his expression cold, his thoughts unreadable.

One thought echoed in his mind:

Should I make a move?

He continued walking, unbothered by the tension around him.

"Bert, are you going to give us the money, or not?" Edward's voice dripped with malice.

"Or should we tell your prostitute mother about it, and…" Edward smirked, clearly relishing the cruelty of his words.

The children gathered around began to laugh.

Bert's face twisted in anger. "What did you say?" he growled, his eyes narrowing into a furious glare.

Edward's smirk widened. "I know all about you, cousin. Your father's dead, and your mother? She's nothing more than a prostitute who managed to seduce my father."

"Is that true?" Bert gasped, his voice filled with disbelief.

"No wonder Edward wanted to bully this guy. He deserves it." The children around them whispered among themselves.

"You… Fuck you!?" Bert yelled, his chubby arms raised as he tried to punch Edward.

"Too slow," Edward sneered, raising his own arms and landing a punch squarely in Bert's stomach before Bert could even fully lift his.

Cough! Cough!

Bert's eyes bulged, his body recoiling as he spewed a mouthful of saliva, barely staying on his feet.

"Haha!" Edward tilted his head back, laughing toward the clear sky, basking in his moment of triumph.

But then, suddenly, he felt a sharp pull at his leg.

With a roar, Bert yanked him down. Unbalanced, Edward crashed to the ground, and before he could react, Bert tackled him and sank his teeth into his ear.

"Ahhhh—"

Edward screamed, horror flooding his eyes. "This bastard bit me!"

The sharp pain shooting through his ear sent a jolt through his mind, throwing him into a frenzy, his body almost going into overdrive.

His limbs flailed wildly, trying to push Bert off, but Bert's weight pinned him down with relentless force.

"Bastard!" Bert growled, his teeth sinking deeper into Edward's ear.

Blood gushed more violently, staining the muddy ground beneath them.

"Ahh—fuck you, bastard! Help me!" Edward screamed, his voice panicked. The people surrounding them scrambled to pull the two apart.

But Bert wouldn't relent. His teeth clamped down harder, and despite being fully vertical, a glint of madness burned in his eyes.

The scene was pure chaos, blood staining the ground as the children around them stood frozen in shock.

They were just children—no matter how much they were trained in school, they had never witnessed such brutality before. After a long, tense moment, their fear began to crack, and their demeanor shifted back to something more ordinary.

"What should we do?" one of them whispered, panic creeping into his voice. "Edward's going to die at this rate, all because of this bastard." He elbowed Bert in the back, but Bert only became more vicious, refusing to relent.

"Give me those ears!" Bert snarled, pulling back his head.

A grotesque scene unfolded as more blood gushed from Edward's ear, Bert slowly pulling it free in a sickening display.

"Noo…" Edward howled in agony, his voice trembling.

"Call the instructor quickly!" another child shouted in desperation.

One of them, a lean boy, scrambled to his feet and ran toward the instructor's quarters as fast as he could.

"Instructor, hurry, quick…" the lean kid gasped, his chest heaving as his breath came in ragged bursts.

The instructor glanced at the lean boy for a moment before his gaze shifted toward Marcus.

"If you don't complete your ten laps, then I will make you finish them," he shouted, completely ignoring the urgency of the lean kid's words.

"Instructor, there's really a fight going on! Edward's ear is going to get ripped apart if this continues!" The lean kid pulled at his sleeves, explaining quickly.

The instructor turned his cold gaze on the lean kid, his voice icy:

"So?"

"If you don't, then Edward will die," the lean kid pleaded, his voice faltering as he avoided eye contact with the instructor. "We were just messing around with Bert, but suddenly he snapped—like he had a mental breakdown—and started biting Edward's ear."

The instructor, Beatrice, didn't flinch. "Do you think that just because I didn't intervene before, I will now?" he spoke with cold indifference. "I, Beatrice, have no interest in playing children's games."

Beatrice stood unmoving.

The lean kid, horrified, dropped to the ground, his body shaking. "I… I…" He began crawling away, desperate to escape the situation.

"Hmph," Beatrice scoffed, turning his attention back to the training, as if the matter had already been settled.

Meanwhile, Edwin, having just completed his tenth lap, perked up, his ears twitching as he looked in the direction of the chaos. "This is... I should help," he murmured to himself.

The horrifying screams of Edward reached even here, echoing louder.

As he moved forward, suddenly someone blocked his way.

"What are you doing here, Leon?" Edwin asked, attempting to go left, but Leon blocked him from that side. When Edwin tried to go right, Leon silently blocked him there too.

"Are you messing with me? Just let me pass!" Edwin fumed.

"You can't pass," Leon said, staring straight at Edwin. His crimson pupils seemed to twinkle in the sunlight.

"Fuck you," Edwin cursed, raising his hand to push Leon aside.

Leon smoothly dodged the push, then tightened his fingers into a solid fist before violently punching his hand.

"Ahhh—"

Edwin cried out in pain. His skin felt slightly darkened, and his bone broken. For a moment, he remained stationary, blue veins popping in his arms.

Then he fell to the ground, rolling around in the mud.

Leon stood straight again and mechanically called out, "You shall not pass."

"Fuck you, I'm going to kill you!" Edwin violently cursed.

"Are you sure?" Leon tilted his head expressionlessly.

Gulp!

"I…" Edwin looked at Leon's crimson pupil and gradually felt his head return to clarity from his initial state.

His body started to tremble, and a chill swept down his back.

It was as if a bucket of cold, icy water had been poured over him in the freezing winter.

"I don't go, me good."

"Good." Leon crouched down to Edwin's eye level and patted his shoulder with a joking look on his face. "Remember, if I ever catch you bullying someone, I'll come for your mom."
