Chapter 21: Felicia Is A Stealing Cat

"Snap!"

"Damn it!" He slammed his hands on the desk fiercely. The leader of the Demon Gang, Mr. Negative, Martin Lee, was glaring furiously. Just now, one of his operations had been directly disrupted by the Spider Squad and the latest Black Cat, causing him to fly into a rage.

There was a knock on the door. Mr. Negative adjusted his breathing and said, "Come in." As soon as he spoke, the door of the office opened, and a member of the Demon Gang walked in, respectfully saying to Mr. Negative, "Boss, the person you asked for has been brought."

"Oh, let him in." Mr. Negative's eyes lit up, and he quickly waved his hand for Xiao Luo to bring the person he wanted. Soon after, a man in a tattered white coat arrived. Mr. Negative stood up politely and extended his hand.

"Hi, Dr. Connors, my name is Martin Lee, though you may know me as Mr. Negative." Connors looked haggard compared to his previous high-spirited appearance. In the past, he had become Dr. Lizard, but the spider trio had been in full swing at that time, and he hadn't dared to take the lead. Instead, he had conducted his experiments cautiously, hiding in the sewer.

Connors and Mr. Negative had met by chance when Connors had stumbled into one of Mr. Negative's venues, injuring several of his younger gang members. Now they shared a common enemy: the spider trio. Originally, Connors had planned to break into the Osborn mansion to snatch the equipment he needed.

"I've thought about it, I'll cooperate with you," Connors decided after taking a deep breath. When Mr. Negative learned that the lizard man was Connors, he devised a brilliant plan. Their common enemy needed more hands to deal with it. So he proposed providing funds and experimental facilities on the condition that Connors help deal with the spider trio.

"Thank you for coming, Dr. Connors," Mr. Negative smiled politely. "We will have a very pleasant cooperation."

After fighting crime, Norton and the others returned home. "Norton, I'm going to band practice this afternoon. We'll meet at the graduation ceremony." After returning home, Gwen packed her backpack, then approached Norton, hugging him, and whispered in his ear, "Wait for me to come back tonight; don't give Felicia a chance."

Felicia, standing nearby, could clearly hear these words. She stood there with folded arms, amused. After Gwen left, Felicia stretched, displaying her graceful figure in front of Norton's eyes, and lazily lay on the sofa watching TV.

Since their relationship had been confirmed, Felicia had moved into Norton's house. Even Gwen only came to stay occasionally, which is why Gwen was worried about Felicia.

"I'm going to take a nap," Norton said as he stretched, yawned, and walked upstairs. Felicia's eyes lit up, and she turned her head to watch Norton go upstairs. After he was out of sight, she turned off the TV, waited a few minutes, and then tiptoed upstairs. She slowly opened Norton's room door to see that he was already asleep, lying on the bed with his eyes closed.

"Hee hee," Felicia smiled triumphantly and slipped into Norton's bed. Norton opened his eyes upon hearing the movement and saw Felicia, the white-haired beauty, hugging him under the quilt. Looking at her speechlessly, he said, "Didn't you say you would give it to Gwen? You also told me to take a good rest."

"That's wrong. I said I'd give it to her at night, but I didn't say in the afternoon."

A classic word game, indeed a sly kitty.

"Huh?" Felicia leaned in, her lips pursed, her intention clear. "Oh," Norton said as he affectionately touched Felicia's cheek, then held her face and kissed her.

Osborn Building. A black man wearing glasses was hurrying to work, holding a pile of rolled-up drawings in his arms. "Please make way, this road is still very spacious," he said, his voice a bit submissive, but no one paid attention to him. A pedestrian slammed into him fiercely, causing him to lose his grip, and the drawings scattered on the ground, even rolling into the road. "My drawings, my drawings," he exclaimed as he hurried to pick them up. He didn't notice a car speeding toward him. "Be careful!" yelled Spider-Man Peter as he threw himself forward, knocking the man out of the car's path.

"Oh, it's dangerous, are you okay?" Peter asked, glancing at the overturned car and patting the black man on the shoulder. "Are you Spider-Man?" he asked, still in shock. "You can tell by looking at the costume," Peter replied as he shot cobwebs to retrieve the blueprints and handed them to the man. "These are important, right, Max?"

"How do you know my name?" Max asked.

Peter pointed at Max's badge, "It's on your badge."

"I'm just a nobody," Max replied, feeling nervous and somewhat inferior in Spider-Man's presence.

"Hey, hey, hey, you're not a nobody, you're a big shot, OK?" Peter said, straightening Max's hair. "You're my eyes and ears. See you next time."

"I... am a big shot," Max repeated to himself.
