Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 18: Liberation Of The Food District Pt. 2

The factory groaned under the weight of chaos. Hydra reinforcements poured in from every direction, shouting orders and firing relentlessly. Wanda stood in the eye of the storm, crimson magic coiling around her like a living force. Her sharp eyes darted across the room, tracking every threat. She raised her hand, releasing a surge of chaotic energy that ripped a group of soldiers off their feet, sending them sprawling into a conveyor belt.

"Eska, how's that antidote coming?" Wanda shouted, deflecting a hail of bullets with a shimmering crimson barrier.

"We have secured antidote!" Eska's voice crackled over the comm. "Hold them off a little longer. We have run into hydra resistance here too."

Wanda rolled her eyes. "Why does everyone always say that?"

Before she could launch another attack, a low, guttural voice rumbled in her mind. **"I'm hungry."**

Wanda stiffened, gripping the Chitauri Scepter tighter. "Fracture, now's not the time."

The voice chuckled, dark and sly. **"On the contrary, this is exactly the time."**

Wanda barely had time to argue before a thick tendril of red symbiote erupted from her shoulder, lashing out like a striking snake. It seized a Hydra soldier by the waist, yanking him into the air as he screamed. The symbiote stretched, morphing into a grotesque maw, and devoured him in one horrific gulp.

The factory fell momentarily silent as Hydra soldiers froze, horror etched on their faces.

Wanda grimaced, waving a hand dismissively. "Oh, don't look so shocked. He wasn't that tasty."

The soldiers snapped out of their stupor and opened fire. Fracture's tendrils sprang to life, weaving around Wanda like a crimson hurricane. Bullets ricocheted harmlessly off the writhing appendages as they lashed out, grabbing two more soldiers and slamming them into a wall with bone-crunching force.

"Save some for me," Wanda muttered, her crimson energy flaring as she flung a soldier across the room.

**"Don't worry,"** Fracture purred. **"There's plenty to go around."**

Another tendril snatched a soldier attempting to retreat. This time, the symbiote's maw opened slowly, almost teasingly, before devouring him whole. Wanda felt a shiver run through her body as Fracture absorbed the man's essence. Images flickered in her mind—a Hydra officer shouting orders, a map of the region, and…a meeting.

The image sharpened: a man seated at a Hydra table, his face obscured by shadow. His voice dripped with malice. "Drug the food and water. The people won't resist if they can't think straight. This will break them without firing a single shot."

Another voice answered, cold and authoritative. "And your reward for this suggestion will be beyond your imagination."

Wanda snapped back to reality, her heart pounding. "Eska," she hissed into the comm. "We've got a bigger problem."

"What is it?" Eska's voice was tense, accompanied by the sound of gunfire.

"The traitor," Wanda said. "He's the one who gave Hydra the idea to drug the population. And they're rewarding him for it."

Eska's sharp intake of breath was audible even through the comm. "Rewarding him? How?"

"I don't know yet," Wanda muttered. "But I'll find out soon enough."

A soldier charged at Wanda, screaming as he swung a baton crackling with electricity. She caught his wrist mid-swing, her chaos magic crackling against his armor. "You should've stayed home," she said flatly before blasting him into a stack of crates.

Fracture's voice echoed in her mind again, rich with satisfaction. **"The traitor will be easy to deal with. But first…"** The symbiote lashed out again, grabbing two more soldiers and slamming them into the ground. **"…we eat."**

"Do you have to be so dramatic about it?" Wanda muttered, deflecting another wave of gunfire with a shield of crimson energy. "You're like a child who's just discovered a candy store."

Fracture chuckled, low and predatory. **"And yet, you keep feeding me."**

"Not by choice," Wanda snapped, flinging another soldier into the air. "Try not to get indigestion."

The symbiote didn't respond, too busy tearing through the Hydra forces with gleeful brutality. Its tendrils wrapped around a turret, ripping it free from its mount and using it as a makeshift weapon to batter the soldiers. Wanda couldn't help but smirk despite herself. "At least you're creative."

The reinforcements were thinning, but Wanda's senses prickled with unease. Hydra wouldn't send this many troops without a backup plan. Sure enough, the factory's heavy metal doors groaned open, and a squad of armored elites marched in, their leader carrying a massive energy weapon.

"Target acquired!" the leader barked. "Engage!"

Wanda barely had time to react before the weapon fired, a blinding beam of blue energy surging toward her. She raised her hands, her chaos magic forming a barrier just in time. The impact sent her skidding backward, her boots screeching against the factory floor.

"Okay, that's new," she muttered, shaking off the shock.

The elites advanced, their coordinated movements cutting off her escape routes. Wanda gritted her teeth, her crimson energy flaring brighter. "Fracture, we've got a problem."

**"No, we've got a solution,"** the symbiote purred.

Before Wanda could stop it, Fracture surged forward, enveloping her body in a layer of writhing red. Her vision sharpened, her senses heightening as the symbiote's power fused with her own. Wanda leapt into the air, her movements fluid and impossibly fast. She landed in the middle of the squad, her tendrils lashing out like whips.

One soldier was yanked off his feet and hurled into another, their armor clattering as they crumpled. Another was ensnared, his weapon torn from his hands before a tendril plunged into his chest. Fracture's voice hummed with satisfaction as it absorbed him, feeding on his knowledge.

Wanda spun, using the scepter to deflect another energy blast. "You're really enjoying this, aren't you?"

**"Immensely."**

"Remind me to never let you pick the menu."

The squad's leader fired again, but Wanda was faster. She twisted mid-air, her chaos magic catching the blast and redirecting it into the factory wall. The explosion sent debris raining down, forcing the remaining elites to scatter.

Wanda landed gracefully, her symbiote tendrils coiling around her protectively. She turned toward the leader, her eyes glowing with crimson light. "Your turn."

The leader hesitated, his grip tightening on his weapon. Before he could act, Fracture struck, a tendril piercing his armor and pulling him close. Wanda stepped forward, the scepter's tip glowing as she pressed it to his chest.

"Tell me," she said coldly. "What's Hydra planning next?"

The man sneered, blood trickling from his lips. "You'll never stop us."

"Wrong answer," Wanda replied, releasing a burst of energy that sent him sprawling. She turned to the remaining soldiers, her expression hard. "Run."

They didn't need to be told twice. The surviving Hydra forces fled, their retreat echoing through the factory.

Eska and the resistance fighters emerged from the control room, the antidote vial clutched tightly in Eska's hand. She surveyed the carnage, her eyes wide. "What the hell happened here?"

Wanda shrugged, the symbiote retreating back into her body. "Fracture got hungry."

Eska stared at her, then at the mangled remains of the Hydra soldiers. "You could've warned me."

"I didn't know it was feeding time," Wanda said dryly. She glanced at the glowing vial. "That the antidote?"

Eska nodded, holding it up. "This will reverse the damage Hydra's done to the people."

"Good," Wanda said, her voice softening. "Let's make sure it works."

As they exited the factory, the faint sounds of sirens echoed in the distance. Hydra's grip on Sokovia was weakening, but the battle was far from over. Wanda glanced at the horizon, her expression unreadable.

"Dimitri," she murmured to herself. "Your reward is coming."
