Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 7: Testing Limits

Wanda sat cross-legged in the corner of the dim hideout, the faint glow of her chaos magic flickering in the air around her. The symbiote's presence was a constant hum in her mind, its whispers both soothing and persistent.

"You're holding back," the symbiote murmured, its smooth, feminine tone cutting through her focus.

"Maybe I just don't feel like letting loose right now," Wanda muttered aloud, earning a few puzzled glances from nearby resistance members. She waved them off, her crimson eyes narrowing as she focused inward. "Why do you even care?"

"Because I am bound to you," the symbiote replied, its voice taking on an almost chiding tone. "And because if you wish to lead, you must master your power. Not just your magic, but the body and mind that wield it."

Wanda sighed, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "You sound like a drill sergeant."

"I am whatever you need me to be, Wanda," the symbiote said, its tone softening. "But if it helps, you may call me… Fracture."

Wanda blinked, surprised by the sudden introduction. "Fracture? That's your name?"

"Yes," the symbiote said simply. "And before you ask, I am female."

Wanda furrowed her brow, clearly puzzled. "I didn't even think you could have a gender."

Fracture chuckled, the sound low and almost teasing. "Everything has an exception. The reason will become clear in time."

Shaking her head, Wanda rose to her feet, brushing the dust from her pants. "You're more cryptic than I expected for an alien parasite."

"I prefer the term partner," Fracture corrected smoothly. "Now, enough stalling. Train. Show me that you're worthy of the power you wield."

Wanda's gym clothes clung to her as she jogged through the hideout's makeshift training area. Sweat trickled down her neck, her breathing steady but heavy as she worked through the morning's drills. Nearby, Eska leaned against the wall, watching with a critical eye.

"You've been hitting the weights, haven't you?" Eska said, her tone a mix of approval and amusement. "Your arms didn't look that toned a month ago."

Wanda smirked, pausing to grab a towel. She wiped her forehead and glanced down at her biceps, flexing playfully. "I guess I have Fracture to thank for that."

Eska raised an eyebrow. "Fracture?"

"My symbiote," Wanda explained, stretching her arms over her head. "She's been… motivating me."

Eska chuckled. "Well, whatever you're doing, keep at it. You're shaping up nicely."

Wanda rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the faint blush that crept into her cheeks. She grabbed a set of weights and began her reps, her muscles straining with each lift. The sweat glistened on her skin, her breathing steady as she focused on her form.

Eska's gaze lingered for a moment before she shook her head, clearing her throat. "Alright, Maximoff. Enough showing off. Let's put that strength to use."

The sun was beginning to set as Wanda followed Eska and a small squad of resistance fighters into the woods. The group moved quietly, their footsteps muffled by the soft earth. Wanda carried the Chitauri Scepter in her hand, its faint glow casting eerie shadows on the trees.

"Remember," Eska said, her voice low but firm. "Don't over-rely on your magic. The scepter is a weapon, not just a focus. If you're going to carry it, learn to wield it."

Wanda nodded, gripping the scepter tightly. "Any other advice, or is this where you throw me to the wolves?"

Eska smirked. "The wolves are Hydra. Just don't get bitten."

As they approached a Hydra patrol, Wanda felt Fracture stir in her mind. "Focus. Use the scepter's edge. Channel your energy through it like a blade."

The patrol consisted of five soldiers, each armed with standard Hydra rifles. Wanda crouched low, her grip on the scepter tightening as Eska signaled for the group to fan out. The resistance fighters prepared to strike, but Wanda acted first.

She surged forward, her movements swift and precise. The scepter's tip crackled with energy as she swung it in a wide arc, catching one soldier across the chest. He crumpled to the ground, his armor sparking as the energy overwhelmed him.

Another soldier turned, raising his weapon, but Wanda was faster. She spun the scepter like a staff, deflecting the shot with its glowing blade. Her chaos magic flared as she thrust the weapon forward, sending a pulse of energy that knocked the soldier back.

A third soldier lunged at her, swinging the butt of his rifle like a club. Wanda ducked low, spinning on her heel to sweep his legs out from under him. She drove the scepter's tip into the ground, sending a shockwave of energy that left him unconscious.

Eska took down a fourth soldier with a clean shot from her rifle. "Not bad," she muttered, reloading smoothly. "But you're still too flashy."

"Flashy works for me," Wanda quipped, darting toward the last soldier.

This one was faster than the others, dodging Wanda's initial strike and firing a shot that grazed her arm. She winced but didn't falter. With a growl, she channeled her magic through the scepter, creating a blade of crimson energy along its edge. She parried his next strike with ease, the glowing blade carving through his weapon like butter.

The soldier stumbled back, panic flickering in his eyes as Wanda advanced. With a final, precise swing, she disarmed him completely, the scepter's energy flaring as it knocked him unconscious.

Wanda stepped back, catching her breath as the battlefield fell silent. The patrol was eliminated in a matter of moments, their bodies sprawled across the forest floor.

Eska approached, slinging her rifle over her shoulder. "Not bad, Maximoff. But remember—precision over power. You'll wear yourself out if you keep burning magic like that."

Wanda nodded, her breathing steady despite the exertion. "I'll keep that in mind."

As the group began to retreat, Fracture's voice echoed in Wanda's mind. "You did well. But you have only scratched the surface of your potential."

The sky was painted with streaks of orange and pink as the group made their way back to the hideout. Wanda walked slightly ahead of the others, her grip on the scepter loose but steady. Fracture's presence was stronger now, her whispers growing more insistent.

"You are learning," the symbiote murmured. "But you must do more. Your enemies grow stronger with every passing day."

"I know," Wanda muttered under her breath. "But I'm not going to let you rush me."

Fracture's chuckle was low and knowing. "You will find that time is never on your side, Wanda. Greatness demands sacrifice, and your journey has only just begun."

Wanda sighed, her gaze shifting to the horizon. She didn't know what the future held, but one thing was clear: she was just getting started.
