Chapter 551: Lightning Arrives!
Inside the ink nest, once the entrance had been sealed shut, the Royal Lord gasped. "Finally, I can't allow myself to show weakness in front of my troops. I'm the reason why the Ink Disciples were even possible to begin with." He mentioned, speaking to himself as he prepared himself and the ink disciple to connect with the ink nest and heal. "First… Connect with the main city…" He murmured, closing his eyes.
"Sir Royal Lord, Lord Mo Zhao. Did the humans attack?" An innate Territory Lord asked, answering the call from the Great Evolution Pass.
"I'm not sure if it was the humans… But whatever it was nearly killed both myself and the 9th rank disciple here. It felt like a dragon was ripping me apart with an intense fury… Do not engage in any attempt to stop it. You will only suffer losses." Mo Zhao, answered coughing up blood.
"Sir Royal Lord? You felt a Dragon? I felt a Phoenix's claws sundering my flesh." The 9th rank ink disciple managed to report after having woken up from the minimal healing.
"Sir… Do you think this could be the doing of that threat the Supreme Master warned us to prepare for? The lightning with both Dragon and Phoenix pressures… That could only be one person." The Territory Lord asked and then a terrible shiver went down his spine. "AHH!" He screamed with enough terror that his voice sounded like a little girl's.
It was at this moment the Lightning had made its way through all of the battlefield's distance and reached the Ink City behind the numerous battle lines. Unfortunately for the city… It had been just close enough for the bolt to send many branching bolts out in all directions. The carnage was immense, instant and worse yet significant.
Several ink nests were completely obliterated and billions of ink clansmen died, many of whom were of substantial power being feudal and even territory lords. It had also blown a gigantic hole in the Royal Lord Ink Nest, claiming three of the four limbs of the Territory Lord Mo Zhao was currently talking to…
"WHAT HAPPENED!" Mo Zhao shouted, then coughed up more blood.
"Everything… The city has suffered severe damage just from the bolt passing by. That settles it, Only the Supreme Master could handle that. Not even the clones could do that much damage…" The Territory Lord answered in reply, with almost no energy left. He fell asleep to repair the nest and heal his injuries.
"So much damage from just a single attack. What kind of monster has appeared?" The 9th rank Ink Disciple murmured, getting glimpses of the damage, ones that had managed to pass through the nest.
At this point another ink clansman connected a bit sheepishly. "Sir Royal Lord, I was instructed to connect and relay any orders you may have… Sir Territory Lord passed-out just now." A clearly weaker individual said.
"Connect to the other cities and relay what happened there. Tell them of the damage we suffered. And that the Supreme Master's cautious warning should be taken, not with caution but the utmost importance." Mo Zhao ordered before disconnecting and passing out himself.
The high rank ink clansman gulped and did as he was told. Though he was subject to a substantial degree of questioning that made him wish he had been taken by the lightning. Elsewhere, the lightning bolt continued hurtling through the ink infested void. Eventually, reaching a point where Ink himself could sense it…
~ Heavenly Beginning Great Restriction ~
Cang noticed that ink started getting a little bit more rambunctious. As Ink reacted to the inevitable arrival of the lightning bolt. It became a desperate struggle for Cang to hold on.
"Ha, old man! You won't last against me forever like this! Just give up!" Ink roared with an intensity much more hostile than he had ever managed before.
"Shut up, I'll keep you locked away as long as I possibly can! Any time I can by the human race is effort well spent!" Cang retorted. "Something you never quite understood…" He continued, then he sensed it too, dropping his guard by accident. And a small tear opened up.
"AHAHA I'm free!" Ink laughed as he was about to fly through the opening when…
Lighting filled the entirety of the space surrounding the restriction. Filling the restriction with energy once more. The hole closed up and strengthened along with the entire Great Restriction returning to a strengthened state. As Wu Kuang appeared next to Cang.
"Hmm, was it… Ah, I think he said you were… The 2nd Brother Cang? Yes, good to see you again 2nd Brother Cang!" Wu Kuang said, greeting Cang. "Seems like the years haven't been kind to you have they?" He chuckled.
"You are?" Cang then realized the resemblance to Shi's aura. "Are you… 8th Brother Shi's reincarnation?" He asked as his eyes widened, and hope filled him once more.
"That's what that brat told me after I told him about the memories… He said you had the rest." Wu Kuang answered.
Cang lifted a finger and a light went into Wu Kuang. It didn't take long, but once done Wu Kuang's doubts had vanished. All of the missing parts of his previous life had been filled.
"Judging by that look you really are my 8th brother Shi. Welcome back." Cang said, thankful he got to see Shi one last time.
"I guess I am, I had doubts before but, went along with it since that brat gave me an untold number of benefits. Seems like I really made out with a fortune." Wu Kuang laughed, inspecting the restriction… "Hmm, that brat… I wondered why he was so intent on putting that much strength into this bolt. Seems like he wanted to ensure you wouldn't sacrifice yourself to strengthen it." He continued…
"A brat? Then… My message was heard!" Cang exclaimed.
"Yeah, and that brat really did go all out. There isn't even the slightest trace of ink left in the 3000 worlds now. Truly something else. Oh, he also gave me some things for you." Wu Kuang said, handing Cang a box that sealed a blinding thunder to any evil. "Oh, don't open any of that unless it's inside your small universe. Don't want ink to see some of it." He added.
