When The Sun Loving His Moon

It had been almost a month, and Claire's fantasy of Fein kissing him in the library still flashed through his mind when he was alone.

He thought that it couldn't have happened because Fein had never been gentle with him even once. However, he himself didn't realize that it really happened on the day he was alone with Fein.

It was just that Claire who got carried away did not realize that the alpha had already broken the kiss and walked away from him.

"I mean... Fein is being gentle? It seems impossible... But if he is..." Claire's forehead furrowed trying not to think about it.

When at school, Claire tried to act normal. He didn't want the shadow that was actually a memory to affect him. Every time he passed Fein, he would continue to ignore the purple-haired man.

As usual, every morning Claire would wake up to his mother's call. However, that morning felt different for him. His head felt heavy and his breathing was labored. It felt like his body was so hot.

"Uhh... What's wrong with me?"

The blue-eyed teenager walked out of the room to look for his mother. In the kitchen, his mother and father were cooking together. The two looked so harmonious, Claire smiled at the sight of his parents. From behind, someone pulled Claire's shirt which made him turn his head.

"Oh Val, good morning," greeted Claire with a gasp.

"Claire, are you okay?" asked the girl with long black hair called Val. "You look like you have a fever."

"Me? Really? My head really hurts."

Hearing the voices of her two children, Vin, the mother turned to them and looked at Claire. "What's wrong, Claire? Are you sick? Your face is red."

"I don't know, mom. I guess so?"

Claire's father walked over to Claire and rubbed his son's head. "Could it be that you're in your heat?"

"Heat? Right now... What's the date today?"

"It's the 25th, do you heat at the end of the month?" Valerie replied while looking at the date on her phone.

Claire let out a long sigh, apparently it was his heat period. He didn't really realize it because he had only gotten heat two to three times, and the heat period occurred only 3 to 7 days every two months. For Claire, he usually got it at the end of the month.

At first they didn't realize it because usually family members couldn't smell the family members' own heat pheromones.

"Heat huh? Then go back to your room, i will bring breakfast for you and then you can take your suppressant. Val, can you take your brother to his room?"

"Yes, mom." Claire went back to her room, escorted by his younger sister, Valerie.

At the school gate, Fein walked casually into the school. But he was a bit surprised why he didn't see Claire at that time. Usually they would always cross paths and Fein's morning would be greeted with a sardonic look from Claire.

However, that morning he did not see the silver-haired Omega.

"Maybe he overslept this time," Fein muttered as he shrugged his shoulders and walked towards his class. As usual he went to his seat then put on his earphones.

He stole a few glances at Claire's desk, but he didn't come, until finally the first lesson bell started. It was then that their homeroom teacher Miss Abigail entered the classroom. She taught French at the school.

"Okay kids, go back to your seats and we'll start the lesson. Oh and before that, Angelia..." she called out to the class president.

"Yes Miss?"

"Claire Chester is absent today, his mother informed me that he is sick. If there are absences from other teachers, tell them he is sick."

"Yes Miss!" replied Angelia, recording it into the student attendance book.

Fein who heard that immediately sighed. 'No wonder he hasn't been seen since earlier...' he thought.

Claire had deliberately asked his mother not to say that he was excused due to heat. It was common among Omegas that if they got their heat, they would be excused and the school would indeed allow them.

Even if they got heat at school, they would be allowed to go home after taking a suppressant medicine that would temporarily relieve their heat.

After delivering her message, Miss Abigail began her lesson. During the lesson, the purple-haired man occasionally glanced at Claire's empty desk. Usually there he could see Claire's face who was seriously paying attention to the blackboard.

He became curious, what was wrong with Claire that he couldn't go to school, even though yesterday he was still healthy.

'Don't be he's just an excuse to not have to go to school,' he thought.

At break time, Fein leaned against the wall in front of his classroom, staring at his cell phone screen. He wanted to know how Claire was doing, but he just remembered that he didn't have his number.

He knew Lucy or Angelia must have Claire's cell phone number, but he couldn't just walk up to them suddenly and ask for the number of the guy he was always fighting with. Especially since they knew that the two never got along.

In the midst of his agitation, he saw Dior walk out of the classroom past him, apparently going to call someone. Having no other choice, Fein followed Dior to the school roof. Although he didn't know who Dior was going to call, but he hoped his guess was right. As usual Fein would stay behind the door listening, while Dior was outside.

'If my guess is right, he will definitely call that noisy guy.'

At the same time, Claire, who was playing PS5 games in his room, received a call from someone. He immediately picked up the phone. "Hello Dior, what's up?"

"Claire? I heard you were sick. What's wrong with you? You looked fine yesterday," Dior said from the phone.

"Oh... Hmn actually I'm in my heat period. So I can't go to school..." Claire answered honestly because he felt that Dior already knew about his situation so he felt no problem telling Dior.

"Heat? Ohh... I see. It's better for you to stay at home. It's dangerous to go out and be smelled by another Alpha."

'He's in heat? Hmn... I see, so he's not really sick,' Fein thought when he heard their conversation.

As they continued talking, Dior said he would go to Claire's house after school to give her today's assignment and notes. Claire agreed but he said he could not meet Dior in person because of her situation.

When an Omega is in Heat, their pheromones will smell sweet very strongly which can make any Alpha feel hungry and want to attack them.

Since Dior was an Alpha, he could not meet Dior directly for fear that Dior would be affected by his pheromones even though Claire had taken the suppressant.

"No problem, I can give it to your mom. You just rest. I'll end the call then, I'm going to the cafeteria. Yes, I'll see you later." The green-haired man turned off the phone. He looked so relieved that Claire was not really sick.

At first he was very worried when he heard that Claire was sick, because according to him Claire rarely missed school and he always looked fine.

Knowing that Dior would go to Claire's place, Fein had an idea to follow Dior later. I don't know what his purpose was for doing that, but he had already decided. Fein left before Dior found him eavesdropping on their conversation.
