When The Sun Loving His Moon

After two semesters had passed, the end-of-semester exams came. Soon they would be moving up to grade 12, the last year at the school. The Grade 12 students had their graduation two months ago. Many memories were left behind at the school.

However, now it was time for the Grade 10 and 11 students to focus on the grade promotion exam that they would be taking that day. The students studied very diligently in order to get a good score on the exam.

Just like Claire, he focused on studying so that she could get good grades in the exam later, because his father promised him that his pocket money would increase if his grades also increased. They were so excited to get it.

"If your grades improve, dad will increase your allowance. But you can't cheat, you have to earn it honestly, understand?" their father asked.

"We understand!" replied Claire and Valerie.

Especially Claire who already had a huge list of things he wanted to buy, including the latest games. Although he rarely played them, Claire loved buying them and playing them when he was bored.

During break time, Claire decided to go to the library so he could study more focused. He brought his math textbook, choosing an empty seat. Claire opened his book and worked on the problems in the textbook for practice.

"This one uses this formula. Okay okay..."

While he was focusing on the problem, he was suddenly distracted by the memory of two weeks ago when he saw Fein with his girlfriend. Instantly Claire fell silent, his hand stopped writing and his gaze went blank.

'Fein and his girlfriend, have they been together for a long time? Why did Fein never say so and accepted Reina's date back then? Or are they still a new couple?' Claire thought in his reverie.

But he immediately realized that it was not important right now. He deliberately moved to the library to avoid that thought of not having to turn his head towards Fein when he was in class.

However, he was still thinking about it. He still couldn't believe that Fein had a girlfriend, not because he was jealous, but he was jealous that an annoying guy like Fein could have a girlfriend while he didn't.

"Focus Claire! Focus!" he said while ruffling his own hair. He went back to calculating the math problems in his book.

Until something disrupted his concentration again. Three men came and stood in front of Claire. Claire looked up and found three Alphas staring at him.

"What?" he asked.

"After school we're going to beat up alphas from other schools. You should come, we're short of members since the seniors have graduated," said one of them.

"Find someone else, I'm not coming this time. I want to study," Claire replied and then returned his focus to his book.

"No way! You have to come! If you don't come, we'll beat you up too!" they threatened.

Claire glanced at them with a sharp gaze, annoyed that his time had been interrupted.

"If I say no, it means no!" he said as he hit the table.

But suddenly, one of them released a very strong threatening pheromone. It sent chills down Claire's spine, his hands trembling, he tried to remain calm. The Alpha's pheromones were so strong, they could make any omega scared. Even a single Alpha could be affected by it.

Sweat dripped down Claire's forehead onto his book. The man swallowed and was still trying to give them a sharp look to make them leave, but they did not leave.

In that tense moment, another much stronger and intimidating Alpha Pheromone appeared which made the initial pheromone fade away.

"What's all the fuss about? This is a library!" the Alpha said approaching them in a very cold tone.

They turned to the origin of the voice and saw the purple-haired man with his heterochromatic eyes staring at them intently.

"F-Fein..." muttered Claire softly.

"This is none of your business! You'd better leave, we have business with him!"

"But you're breaking the rules here and it's my duty to send you away. Now get out before a bigger commotion occurs."

"You--!!!"

"I said get out." Fein's eyes squinted sharply which finally made the three of them leave with goosebumps because they were not strong with Fein's pheromones.

Slowly Fein's pheromones faded away, he turned his head towards Claire who sat trembling, sweat pouring down his forehead. Claire's breath caught, he was trying to calm himself down from what had just happened.

If only Fein hadn't come, he would have been caught.

"Fein, I--"

Fein threw the school coat he was wearing at Claire's head, covering the man who was frightened. "Calm yourself down, others can see it."

Claire held onto Fein's coat that was on his head. He didn't understand why Fein gave it to him, but he was indeed afraid if anyone saw his in such a state.

For a moment Fein watched Claire who was frightened. His hand slowly seemed to want to touch the omega's head to calm him down, but he restrained himself and moved his hand away.

"If you're calm, give it back to me. I'm in class."

He left, leaving Claire alone in the library. The silver-haired man looked down silently, still with Fein's suit covering him.

"Fein's pheromones, so strong and attractive," he muttered softly as he inhaled the scent of Fein's pheromones left on his suit.

Instantly he realized what he was doing. The look in his eyes dropped.

'What did I do? Fein already has a lover. Why would I...'

In class, Fein sat looking at his cell phone. He let out a long sigh. 'I shouldn't have left that kid alone, they could have come back,' he regretted.

Dior, who had been in class, saw that Fein wasn't wearing his suit, he was surprised because Fein was still wearing it before he left the class. But he didn't think much of it and went back to listening to music with his earphones.

Five minutes before the next exam, Claire returned with Fein's suit. He went over to Fein and gave it back.

"Thank you," he said quietly.

"You've--" Before Fein could ask about Claire's condition, Claire had already left to return to his seat.

The silver-haired man looked lackluster and just sat down to put down his books. Dior who saw Claire returning Fein's suit was again surprised.

'Why is Fein's suit with Claire?'

He wanted to ask him about it but it looked like Claire wasn't in the mood to talk.

His body was limp because his energy was quite depleted fighting the Alpha's pheromones earlier. Coupled with something that had been bothering his mind since yesterday.

The exam started, Claire hoped the exam would be over quickly so he could go home quickly. He tried to focus on the questions on his exam paper. Luckily, he was still able to work on the questions until the exam ended.

Without waiting any longer, Claire immediately tidied up his things and went home. Dior had offered to take Claire home on his motorcycle, but he refused.

"Huft... What's wrong with me, why am I like this? It's so stupid that I'm bothering myself with things that don't matter," he complained.

The exams went on for a week and finally, the time for promotion came. Claire, Fein and the rest of the 11th graders were officially going to 12th grade.

And in came the new students who filled the 10th grade classroom and became the new juniors at school.
