Chapter 12: CH: 12 Resistance
[Chapter: 12 Resistance]
William drove the heavy motorcycle back to the hidden thatched shed in the suburbs. He pushed the broken door aside, and a pair of cold eyes met his just as he stepped inside. "Oh, Peggy, your eyes are so scary. Just because you didn't see me for some time, you got so angry?" William squatted down in front of Peggy, asking with a smile.
"What the fuck did you do?" Peggy asked coldly.
"Let's talk later." For now, William pulled Peggy close and blocked her mouth with his. It happened so fast that Peggy had no time to react.
"Hateful," a voice escaped Peggy's mouth, but she couldn't speak further. His kiss was too intense, and all she could do was forcefully accept her situation.
She was kissed by this demon again, and Peggy felt pain for another reason. On one hand, she wanted to resist, but her body was so weak that she even found herself wanting to respond to this demon's kiss.
Forcefully kissing Peggy and even using his tongue, William eventually loosened his hold on her mouth after a long moment. Peggy's sweet red lips were swollen because of him.
"It's really sweet," William said, lightly rubbing her lips with a finger. "Watching you act like an angry little girl who wants to fight but is helpless is really satisfying. Hahaha."
"Get away from me," Peggy said coldly, staring daggers at William. But her body was tied, and all she could do was glare.
"Everything about you and everything you own is mine," William said aggressively.
"No!" Peggy screamed, opening her mouth and biting William's finger.
William felt as though an ant was biting him—hardly any pain at all. "You're disobedient. I like it."
Peggy let go and looked at William's shield on the ground. "This is what you stole. It seems to be Stark's. Did you kill him?"
William picked up the shield and waved it in front of Peggy. "As for where it came from—yes, it was Stark's. As for Stark himself? I hit him pretty hard, but whether he's dead or not… I don't know."
"Damn it, how many people did you kill?" Peggy asked through gritted teeth.
William raised a finger. "Let me count… one, two, three?"
Peggy grew angrier. "Asshole."
"I can't remember. Anyway, there were several big explosions. The power was pretty intense. There should be at least hundreds dead," William said, spreading his hands as if it were nothing more than killing some ants.
"Hundreds of people? You lunatic!" Peggy glared fiercely at William.
William gently placed his hand on Peggy's face, his fingers tracing her skin with chilling tenderness. "Don't get too worked up," he murmured, a twisted smile playing on his lips. "A few hundred people—barely a drop in the ocean. My real masterpiece is yet to come. Imagine it: a colossal explosion, a radiant sun born on Earth, its blinding light devouring everything in its path. A massive, towering mushroom cloud that will etch itself into history—the kind they call an atomic bomb." His voice dripped with anticipation, each word painted with the eerie certainty of his dark ambition.
"Atomic bomb?!" Peggy exclaimed, her voice trembling with confusion and dread. She had never heard of such a thing before, but the way William described it—the sheer magnitude of the devastation, the imagery of a sun igniting on Earth—sent chills down her spine. Her intuition screamed at her, warning of unimaginable destruction and a death toll too vast to comprehend. This was no ordinary weapon; it was a harbinger of annihilation, a force capable of reshaping the world in fire and ash.
"Both America and Germany are secretly racing to develop it," William continued, his tone laced with intrigue. "You may not have heard of it, but it's called the Manhattan Project—a collaboration of some of the greatest minds of our time, like J. Robert Oppenheimer, Einstein, and even Stark." He paused, a dark glint in his eyes. "At this moment, American scientists and Hitler's lunatics are locked in a deadly competition, striving to harness the power of unimaginable destruction."
"How did you know that? How? Where on earth did you find this out? It should be top secret from the Pentagon!" Peggy demanded.
"Do you really want to know?"
"You won't tell me, right?"
William shook his head, a confident smirk tugging at his lips. "You're mine, and you'll always belong to me," he declared. "I can tell you everything, no secrets necessary. This world? It's just one among countless others in the infinite expanse of the Omniverse—a mere fragment of the Marvel Multiverse. And within that vast expanse, this reality is even smaller still, a speck nestled within the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse, a universe of stories and spectacles. But to me?" His gaze hardened, filled with an almost godlike detachment. "It's nothing more than a movie playing out before my eyes—a story for me to shape as I see fit."
"Movie? What a joke. You really are crazy!" Peggy shouted in disbelief. This lunatic was spewing nonsense.
"You'll believe it when the time comes."
Peggy took a deep breath. "What is your purpose? What on earth are you doing?"
"Dear Peggy, my purpose is to be a successful villain. So, the next thing for me to do is go to Europe to see Schmidt—or Red Skull." William laughed.
"Schmidt? You mean the leader of Hydra, the Nazi agent, Johann Schmidt?" Peggy howled.
William nodded. "It should be the person you're talking about. It should be really fun to meet him."
"Are you going to unite with him?" Peggy asked coldly.
"Unite? You're wrong. I'm the villain—to all people, whether right or wrong, good or evil. There's no difference in my eyes. Schmidt is a villain, so I'll just play with him for a while, then treat him and those self-righteous fools the same—let them die together. Hahaha." William laughed. After all, it was boring for the hero to die alone. Sending both the hero and villain to their deaths together would bring a sense of accomplishment.
Of course, William's main purpose in finding Schmidt was the Tesseract, one of the six Infinity Stones in the Marvel Universe. How could such a treasure be wasted?
I am also interested in observing how the world would function without one of its cornerstone elements, specifically a fucking Infinity Stone. How does the third law work? How would the cosmic course correction work? Will it merely spawn another Space Stone?"
Peggy looked at William and shouted, "You lunatic, you really are a lunatic! You will surely fail and die a dog's death."
"Can you put it another way? Listening to the same thing over and over is like calluses forming in my ears," William said, casually poking at his ear.
Suddenly, Peggy's face changed. Her expression shifted to discomfort, her body froze slightly, and she appeared to be enduring something extraordinary.
"What's wrong with you, Peggy?" William asked with a smile.
"No, it's nothing that should matter to you," Peggy said with difficulty. Resisting her body's physiological demands was an added torment.
"Then I don't care." William spread his hands dismissively.
Peggy's body twisted, her feet rubbing softly on the ground. Her expression became increasingly uncomfortable. "I... I..."
"..."
"What's wrong with you? If you don't say it, how can I help you?" William asked, looking at her questioningly.
"I... I..." Peggy finally blurted it out. There was no dignity left in front of this damn lunatic anyway. "I need to go to the toilet. Let me go."
(^o^)
"Oh." William let out a long, exaggerated sound. "Go to the toilet? No problem. I'll take your pants off for you first, then I'll have to hold you."
"Don't!" Peggy scowled at William, her disgust evident. This **** fellow.
"I'm trying to help you kindly, but you don't want it. It's so sad." William feigned a look of sorrow.
"If you dare to do this, I'll bite my tongue and die right in front of you," Peggy said, her tone resolute as she stared him down.
William smiled. "I like your personality."
"Untie me. I won't resist and waste my energy for nothing," Peggy said lightly.
"No problem. Since you are my woman, I will believe you," William replied. He slowly untied the rope binding Peggy's body. It was inevitable that he accidentally bumped into some places that should not be touched.
Peggy endured William's wandering hands and said resentfully, "Are you finished?"
"All right," William replied as he finally took the rope away.
