Writing a Diary in the Shinobi World, and the Kunoichi Are Shocked

"Third Hokage, I wish to go to the battlefield at the Mist Village."

Hearing Night Star's response, Hiruzen Sarutobi was very pleased.

The situation with the Cloud Village was, after all, just minor skirmishes; the Mist Village was where the real war was happening.

"Alright. Coincidentally, Shisui is also on the front lines at the Mist. With the two Uchiha geniuses there, the village will surely turn the tide."

Night Star responded with a similar smile.

"It's my honor to contribute to the village."

Hearing these words and seeing the genuine expression on Night Star's face, Hiruzen Sarutobi felt deeply gratified.

Although the Uchiha clan had been restless lately, fortunately, the most outstanding young talents in the clan, Shisui and Night Star, were both carriers of the Will of Fire.

Night Star smiled as he looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi in front of him, recording his thoughts in his diary.

"Yugao, long time no see."

Hearing his voice, Yugao Uzuki snapped back to reality, her gaze on Night Star carrying a complex expression. She replied in a low voice:

"Yes, long time no see."

Yugao Uzuki, a Chunin of the Leaf Village, specialized in the Konoha-ryu swordsmanship and was currently a member of the Third Hokage's direct Anbu squad.

She was also Night Star's classmate at the Ninja Academy and a close friend of Kurenai Yuhi.

Night Star clearly had no intention of engaging in further conversation with her. He simply nodded slightly in acknowledgment before heading straight out of the Hokage building.

Yugao watched his retreating figure, her beautiful eyes showing a conflicted expression.

She had overheard Night Star's entire conversation with the Third Hokage just moments ago.

However

Yugao reached into her chest and took out a notebook with a black cover.

From the contents of the diary, it was evident that Night Star harbored even more hostility toward the village's leadership than most members of the Uchiha clan.

As a direct member of the Anbu, she couldn't reveal the diary's content directly but was supposed to subtly hint at its implications to the Third Hokage.

However, Yugao couldn't stop thinking about Night Star's claim that the Third Hokage had once orchestrated human experiments that caused the deaths of hundreds of Leaf ninjas.

Could such a respected and approachable Third Hokage truly have committed such horrifying crimes?

At that moment, Yugao noticed new content appearing in the diary.

["I just left the Hokage building and ran into an old classmate, Yugao Uzuki."]

["Yugao has a nice name, and she's quite pretty too, though her fate was rather tragic."]

["Come to think of it, most of the attractive female characters in the Naruto manga don't seem to have good endings."]

"Manga?"

Yugao frowned, pondering over the term. She understood "Naruto," but what was "manga"?

Was it like a storybook with illustrations?

Did Night Star mean that she was just a character in a fictional story?

If it had been in the past, Yugao would have dismissed this as nonsense.

But in a world where even such a magical item as the diary existed, what wasn't possible?

As Yugao mulled over the meaning of the words, a mechanical voice suddenly rang in her mind.

["Ding! Detected your appearance in the diary content. Based on the plot's excitement level and your share of the focus, you've earned a reward: A slight increase in chakra volume."]

As the prompt ended, Yugao could clearly feel her chakra instantly increase significantly.

Previously, if her chakra level was 1, it had now risen to at least 1.3.

Chakra volume, a quality incredibly difficult to improve through training, had increased by 30% in an instant a truly astonishing result!

Yugao stood frozen in place, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief.

"This… this is called a slight increase?"

She thought to herself that just having a brief encounter with Night Star and such a small role in the diary earned her such a generous reward.

What would happen if an entire diary entry was centered around her?

While Yugao was deep in thought, another new passage appeared in the diary.

["Speaking of which, Yugao really has an amazing figure and appearance."]

["I think a dancer's outfit would suit her well. I wonder what kind of view it would create if she wore one."]
