Chapter 9: 09 Mission Triggered
"Dancer outfit!?"
Upon seeing these words, Yugao Uzuki is delicate face turned a deep red.
She had heard others mention that in some famous tourist villages in the Land of Hot Springs, there was a performance-oriented profession called dancers.
The nature of their work was similar to that of hostesses, as they were meant to entertain male customers.
It was said that when dancers performed, their outfits were very revealing, even exposing their waists.
The thought of herself wearing such an outfit made pink steam practically rise from Yugao's head.
After a moment of silence, a sudden thought arose in her mind.
How about...
...trying it out?
If she were to appear before Night Star wearing a dancer outfit, it would surely occupy a significant portion of his diary, wouldn't it?
Yugao Uzuki was quite tempted by the system's rewards.
Most importantly, this idea wasn't all that hard for her to accept.
Back in school, she and most of her female classmates, including Kurenai Yuhi and Rin Nohara, had a favorable impression of the handsome Night Star. This wasn't a secret anymore.
However, the Nine-Tails Incident a year ago had created an irreparable rift between the Uchiha clan and the rest of Konoha.
From that moment on, the distance between Night Star and his peers had grown ever greater.
But now, things were completely different.
From the contents of the diary, regardless of whether the Nine-Tails was controlled by the Uchiha, at least Night Star was innocent, and he had even supported the village that night.
For Yugao, that was enough.
...
Meanwhile, Night Star had already left the Hokage's office and was strolling through Konoha's streets, taking in the scenery.
"Those Uchiha guys… so annoying."
"Shameless. After doing something like that, they still dare to wander around openly?"
"Exactly, but… he's so handsome."
"Hey, hey, stop swooning! That's the evil Uchiha clan we're talking about."
Listening to the villagers' gossip and sensing their hateful gazes, Night Star remained indifferent.
As a transmigrator, did they really think such minor things could get under his skin?
At that moment, Night Star suddenly caught a faint scent of a young girl's fragrance drifting nearby.
He felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Um… Are you Night Star?"
Night Star turned his head and saw Kurenai Yuhi standing shyly in front of him. She wore a white dress, her black, wavy hair cascading over her snow-white shoulders, exuding both a girlish charm and a hint of allure.
Seeing her appearance, he couldn't help but frown slightly, thinking to himself how strange the day was.
Kurenai was a Konoha ninja why would she approach someone from the Uchiha clan so proactively?
Little did he know, his change in expression appeared to Kurenai as impatience.
Even though she was a kunoichi who had been on the battlefield, in matters of the heart, she was as fragile as any ordinary girl.
"Could it be… he doesn't want to see me?"
Kurenai bit her lip lightly, her eyes showing a trace of grievance.
Her reason for approaching Night Star wasn't to gain the diary's rewards but to clarify what exactly had happened on the night of the Nine-Tails attack.
At the very least, she needed to know who deserved her gratitude.
Seeing Kurenai looking so pitiful, Night Star furrowed his brows even more deeply.
"Do you need something?"
Just as Kurenai was about to speak, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind them.
"Kurenai, stay away from that evil clan member!"
Kurenai turned around to see a mature-looking young man with a beard, speaking harshly.
"Asuma, we used to be classmates. Calling Night Star that is going too far," Kurenai said with a displeased tone.
Asuma Sarutobi is expression didn't change. His gaze toward Night Star was filled with unabashed hatred and obvious resentment.
"It's the Uchiha clan's fault that the Nine-Tails went berserk, causing so many casualties in the village. It's all because of you Uchihas!"
Night Star, of course, understood why Asuma harbored such animosity toward the Uchiha clan.
Not wanting to miss a single chance to add words to his diary, he decided to document his thoughts.
[It seems that even after a year, Asuma still hasn't let go of his hatred.]
[It's understandable, I suppose. In his eyes, it's because the Uchiha clan controlled the Nine-Tails that his mother, Biwako Sarutobi, lost her life.]
[This blame I wonder how much longer we'll have to bear it.]
Just as he finished writing this entry, a notification sounded in his mind.
[Ding! Daily mission triggered.]
[Objective: Defend the Uchiha clan's honor, teach the disrespectful Asuma a lesson, and document the entire process in the diary.]
[Reward: Significant improvement in Fire Release talent, Forbidden Techniques Izanagi and Izanami.]
