*3rd POV

"Georgie, have you taken a bath?" A voice from an older woman, Connie, sounded as she looked at the young man beside her. "You never bathe... well, rarely." she added, glancing at the heavyset man at the far end of the dining table.

"Oh, don't look at me." George grumbled, pointing at the woman beside him, Mary, who was already glaring at Georgie with her infamous sting eye.

"Why are you here? You're grounded for a month." Mary said, her frustration evident.

"What's going on here?" Connie asked, raising an eyebrow as she scanned the table. "I feel like I've missed something entertaining..."

"Oh, you wouldn't believe it, Meemaw! Georgie, fooling—" Missy's excited voice was cut short by her mother.

"Missy Cooper!" Mary snapped.

"What?! What happened?!" Connie asked eagerly, her curiosity piqued. She turned to Sheldon, expecting him to provide a detailed explanation in his usual overly precise manner.

"Georgie behaved like a child and lied to Mom, Dad, and Pastor Jeff." Sheldon began, adjusting his posture. "Why would you call yourself Beelzebubba, Georgie? No such demon exists in the Bible or anywhere else."

"It was a prank, dumbass." Missy interjected, grinning at Sheldon.

"Oh, a joke! But it wasn't funny." Sheldon replied indignantly.

"Tell me everything!" Connie pounded the table and turned her expectant gaze to George.

With a long sigh, George recounted the whole story. Connie laughed so hard that tears welled up in her eyes. She patted Georgie on the back as he continued to eat unbothered by the commotion.

But her laughter faded when Georgie spoke up, noticing Mary's stern gaze fixed on him.

"I'm grounded, right? So I don't have to pray with you all." Georgie said with a shrug.

"That's not the point! Besides, you're supposed to be in your room right now!" Mary scolded.

"Oh boy..." Connie muttered, sensing the tension in the air. Her laughter fully dissipated.

"No." Georgie countered calmly. "Family dinner is something magical, so I should be here with you all."

George raised an eyebrow, intrigued, but Sheldon was quick to chime in, breaking the moment.

"What's so magical about family dinner? We just eat and pray while holding hands, unknowingly transferring bacteria and germs from one person to another." Sheldon remarked.

Georgie gestured dramatically at the table and the people around it. "This is magical. You never know what's going to happen in a day. That's why Mom prays and thanks Jesus. We don't know—maybe tomorrow…." He glanced at Connie, "it's just five of us…", then at Mary and George "…or four, or three...", letting the weight of his words settle in.

"Hey!" someone interjected, but they all understood Georgie's point. His words struck a chord with them.

"So, you should spend an hour or two at this table, eat with your family, and be grateful for that." Georgie said, locking eyes with Sheldon. "If you don't believe in God, then just be grateful to the universe for giving us oxygen, life, or something else."

Sheldon nodded thoughtfully, and Connie blinked in surprise. George raised his beer, while Mary softened her expression, looking at Georgie with newfound warmth.

"right..." Mary muttered, touched.

"No kidding... he's changed." Connie murmured. George added, "Told ya."

But Georgie broke the heartfelt moment. "Dang it, if we weren't so poor, we could've recorded Pastor Jeff's pale face—"

"Georgie Cooper!" Mary snapped, but Missy's laughter rang out, breaking the tension. Soon, everyone joined in, laughing at the absurdity of it all.

"He even made a song for me!" Missy beamed at Connie. "I love it!"

"Oh, my star grandson." Connie said, raising her eyebrows playfully at Georgie. "Don't forget about me when you're rolling in cash."

Georgie POV

The alarm rang at five in the morning, forcing me awake with a groan escaping my lips. "Ugh… I hate this feeling…" This body—Georgie's body—wasn't used to waking up this early. It was my first attempt to try something different—waking up early for a jog.

I washed my face, put on my training clothes, and stepped outside. The world was still quiet; everyone was asleep, and the sun hadn't fully risen yet.

Even though this body belonged to Georgie, a high school football player with a naturally fit physique, I knew discipline was a whole other challenge. The god gave me a second chance in this body, but the responsibility to improve it is entirely mine.

I started jogging around the neighborhood, enjoying the crisp, fresh morning air. When I reached the park, I stopped for some exercises: jumping jacks, burpees, jump squats, sit-ups, push-ups, and planks. Afterward, I continued jogging back home.

When I arrived, Mary was already in the kitchen.

"Morning." I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.

Mary looked a bit surprised but gave me a soft smile. "…Morning… Where have you been? And you sweating so much!"

"I just went jogging and did some training." I replied, then sat at the dining table. Mary looked at me in bewilderment, maybe not used to seeing 'Georgie' so enthusiastic about such things.

"Well… that's a good thing." she said, then glanced at George, who had just walked out of his room. "Maybe you should join him…"

George, sensing he was being talked about, looked at Mary suspiciously before glancing at me, still sweaty in my workout clothes. "How about no?" he replied quickly.

Mary sighed. "You should… it's bonding activity with your son."

I looked at George, trying to convince him. "Come on, Dad. Maybe just a fun walk with me, or even with Sheldon and Missy." Then I added, more seriously, "You know, 'maybe' someday I'll sing in front of thousands of people… and you'll point your finger at me, saying, 'That's my boy.'"

The atmosphere suddenly grew quiet. I noticed Mary and George's expressions shift as the next words left my mouth, deeper than I had initially planned.

"But you won't be able to do that… because you'll be dead from a heart attack. And it'll just be Meemaw, Missy, Sheldon, and Mom there…"

Mary flinched and holding herself, George looked at me, his face hard, both shocked and angry.

But I didn't stop. I looked at them and said, "I don't want that to happen. I don't want Missy to fall apart, Mom to cry, or Sheldon to lose his confidence just because they lost someone so important. You can change that. You just need to try."

I saw Mary stopping herself to cry silently, but George exploded.

"GEORGIE COOPER!" he yelled at me. "Don't talk to me like that!"

I sighed, trying to stay calm. "I'm not taking back my words. It's your choice. But please, change your habits. Try exercising. Stop drinking beer all the time—"

"YOU BETTER SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" George pointed sharply at me. "Don't look at me like that!"

I knew he was stubborn. In the original series, George had a minor heart attack and survived, but he never changed. I didn't want that to happen again.

I bowed my head. "Alright." I said quietly, not wanting to escalate things further.

Without saying another word, I stood up and went to the bathroom, leaving them alone with their thoughts. I knew this wasn't going to be easy, but at least I had tried.

3rd POV

George and Mary watched as Georgie walked away, his back turned to them, saying nothing. George sighed deeply, and Mary glanced at him with a complex expression.

"…Don't look at me like that." George muttered, noticing her gaze.

"He's right, George. You should stop…" Mary said softly, starting what she knew might become a tense discussion.

"No, no… I'm not mad about his advice." George admitted, running a hand through his hair. "But… it's the way he looked at me when he said it. Like he knew something I didn't. Like it wasn't just a suggestion…"

Mary nodded, her face clouded with worry. She had felt it too—the weight behind Georgie's words. It wasn't just advice; it was more like a warning. A warning that felt… final.

"Morning." Missy's voice broke through their thoughts. She shuffled into the kitchen and plopped into her seat at the dining table, looking at the two adults suspiciously. "What's wrong?"

Mary quickly smiled at her. "Nothing, honey. Here, eat your breakfast first."

Missy grumbled but obeyed, starting on her plate. Suddenly, Sheldon's voice echoed from the hallway.

"MOM! Georgie is using the shower!"

Mary sighed heavily and walked out to hear Sheldon's latest complaint. Left alone with Missy, George stared into his coffee, lost in thought, only to feel someone's eyes on him.

"What?" he grumbled, glancing up.

Missy, staring at him intently, shrugged. "What's wrong with you two?"

"Nothing's wrong with us." George said.

"Are you two gonna divorce?" she asked casually, spooning cereal into her mouth.

George snapped his head toward her, his expression shifting from confusion to irritation. "No, we're not getting divorced."

"Alright, cool." Missy said with a smirk, unbothered.

George rolled his eyes, shook his head, and left the room, leaving Missy alone to finish her breakfast.

A few minutes later, Georgie strolled into the kitchen, grinning.

"Hehe…"

Missy looked up, intrigued. "Why are you giggling?"

Georgie smirked and leaned against the counter. "So… I held Sheldon's toothbrush in my foaming mouth after I brushed my teeth with my own."

Missy burst out laughing. "Sheldon's gonna hate you for that!"

"That's the point." Georgie said with a sly grin. "But here's the thing—I didn't actually use his toothbrush. I just made him think I did. The toothbrush is dry, but he'll freak out anyway."

"You're evil!" Missy cackled, loving every second of her brother's antics.

Right on cue, Sheldon's voice rang out behind Georgie.

"You!!!"

"What?" Georgie said innocently, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I didn't use your toothbrush!"

Sheldon glared at him suspiciously. "MOM! I want a new toothbrush!"

Mary, hearing the commotion, turned to Georgie with an exasperated look.

"Georgie Cooper, stop bothering your brother!"

Georgie shrugged and sauntered over to Sheldon, who flinched, ready for whatever prank his brother had planned next. But instead of doing anything mischievous, Georgie leaned down and kissed the top of Sheldon's head.

"Sorry, little brother." Georgie said with a chuckle, ruffling Sheldon's hair affectionately.

{At that moment, I realized I didn't like being kissed. But I also knew my big brother loved me. And… I didn't hate that.} – Adult Sheldon

The sweet sentiment was cut off by the sound of a teasing female voice in the background.

{Ooooh, little Shelly's being all shy again!}

{Cut it out, Penny!} Sheldon's voice retorted, annoyed, breaking the tender mood.
