Yu-Gi-Oh GX - Playing Again

Chapter 6: CHAPTER 6: I want to take the practical

It's been a difficult 7 years since I came back home. The great news is that I am now at the start of the series I was aiming for. I was waiting with a deck I built using dads state of the art card creation computer system. I had my real deck hidden from my family cause it was considered too OP but I at least registered the cards in the system hidden behind some impenetrable firewall. They would be instantly released into the database as soon as the cards get registered by my duel disk. I felt this would act as a good failsafe in case things get too dangerous.

For now, I made a couple decks with the available cards that were already in the system. I used cards that weren't played often and built 3 decks that follow a fun theme of their own. I honestly can't wait to try them out. I also kept an eye on the current meta of the day but that deemed to be useless as everyone had their own niche. With the 3 deck I built using dad's system and the 1 deck I custom built before coming to this world, I now had a total of 4 decks total.

I was now in a comfy limo as it pulled up to a duel stadium.

"Thanks for the ride"

"Of course, young master, please don't hesitate to call on the sat phone if you run into any trouble"

"Yeah yeah" I said as I got out of the car.

There was no one else there as we had decided to come an hour early. I noticed there were some people still setting up the front desk as I walked up to them.

"Hi!! My name is Shiro and I am here to take my practical exam early."

The young lady at the front desk looks surprised and I stood in front of the desk. By this time, I had grown to a full 5'7" and had shoulder length white hair. I had a simple metal hairpin keeping my bangs from covering my eyes and wore simple blue jeans and a sky-blue shirt and an army rucksack on my back.

"Oh yes!! I heard about you, someone from the committee will be here to help you take your things and fly you directly to the academy!!"

"What do you mean? Wasn't I supposed to go inside to take the exam?"

"Of course, not Mr. Pegasus!!" at this she suddenly stood stock still as she covered her own mouth.

This is so annoying. I specifically told Kaiba that I would be getting in the traditional way and did NOT need any help. I pulled out my phone as I dialed Kaiba's main line.

"Hey Shiro!"

I know this chipper voice from anywhere.

"Mokuba, did I NOT say that I didn't need any help getting into duel academy?"

"Come on Shiro, we're just trying to help. Besides, according to your mom you've never even dueled before, right? Your mom told us everything. This would technically be your first appearance in the dueling scene. Are you REALLY planning on slumming it out in the red dorms until your talented enough?"

At this moment I am REALLY regretting not having dueled in public. For the past 7 years, I had been getting in tune with other dual spirits and dueling with other past duelists like priest Mahad and priest Seto. Yugi also gave me a couple of pointers.

"Mokuba, I'll be fine, so please make the call and tell them that I WILL take the practical."

"You know, you should just learn to accept things from your friends and stop being ungrateful!!"

"Come on Mokuba, with the way things are now, the only friends I might end up with might be pompous assess like that Princeton family!!"

At this point I heard a click as another phone entered the line.

"Mokuba, have Shiro take the practical. According to Yugi, Shiro should be just fine. Don't disappoint me runt" *click*

We were both silent for a sec

*sigh*

"Fine, I'll call the committee."

"Thank you, By the way, are you really not gonna join me here? I hear it's a lot of fun"

"Nope, I got a company to help run. I also need to reign in Seto before he fires everyone for being incompetent."

At this comment we both laughed as we hung each other up.

I walked back over to the table as the girl I talked to previously just to see her getting off the phone with the higher ups.

"Over here Mr. Pegasus"

She said with a smile as she led me inside to the dueling arena.

"Please, just call me Shiro. Also, make sure NO ONE knows I'm from the Pegasus Family or this might just be YOUR last year in Duel Academy, understood?" I said with a devilish smile back.

She was shaking at this point

"Ye…ye…yes sir!!" she stammered.

"Good, no one else know right?"

"No sir, only me and the staff members know. I promise to keep quiet!!"

"That's good to hear, now lead the way" I say as I gently motioned her to do so.
