Yu-Gi-Oh GX - Playing Again

I can't believe I'm about to enter Duel Academy, of course, this is only if I pass my practical

"Uhm, Mr. Shiro?"

I turn around to see the lady

"We're ready for you now"

I nod my head with a grin as I followed her.

I followed her until we reached the Dual field where I noticed there was a proctor waiting for me.

I also noticed a group of other proctors, viewing the dual from behind the glass in the upper deck.

"You must be Mr. Pegasus." He said with an enthusiastic bow.

I shake my head in discontent

"Exactly how many people know I'm here? "

"I would have to say just myself, the receptionist, and Chancellor Shepherd at this point."

"I'm assuming none of the students know?"

"No sir!"

"Good, keep it that way."

"If I figure out my identity has been leaked, you can count yourself to be among my shit list, you understand?"

The Proctor in question starts sweating profusely.

Although I say proctor, I'm well aware that this is professor Crowler.

His get up, hair, and lip stick screams old lady and yet he claims to be a man.

His personality itself screams out bootlicker and if the anime's references were anything to go by, he is also petty and annoying like the mosquitos in summer. 

"Of course, sir! Your identity will be kept with the utmost discretion!"

I nod my head at him

"Well let's get this practical underway."

"Mr. Pegasus, are you sure... "

I quickly cut him off.

"Just call me Shiro"

"Mister Shiro, are you sure, I heard this is your first duel"

I activate my dual disk as it suddenly turned itself on. My dual disk was uniquely designed for me by Mokuba after discussing the kind of specs I wanted. The dual disk in question was pretty much my deck box itself. As soon as I pressed the button on top of my Deck Box, it released hard light to reveal a console similar to those found on dualist kingdom with the deck box laid on top of it floating in midair.

"Don't worry, I know exactly what I'm doing. "

Let's duel!!!!!

I smirk at the proctor

"Since this is my first duel why don't you go first and show me how it's done."

"Of course, sir, as a duelist I would never give any less!!!"

Crowler 4000 life points

Shiro 4000 life points

Crowler Turn

"I start off my turn by playing one card in face down defense position and place two cards face down and end my turn"

(3 hand 2 back row 1 face down defense)

Shiro turn

I draw (6 cards)

I look through my hand and let out of smirk

"Before I start turn, I think it's just right that I apologize to you beforehand."

"I'll start off by playing harpies feather duster" 

A large feather duster manifests above his two back rows as it swiped his back row clean

"I would have done it myself, but I thank you non the less. You destroyed two of my statue of the wicked which lets me special summon them to the field." 

"Let's take care of them with Dark Hole then."

"What?!"

"worth it." I say with a smile on my face

"Now let's continue, I now activate Pot of Desires."

"What?! but that's a faulty card!!" said a proctor from the stands. 

I frowned at the comment

"Who in their right mind would play such a useless card?!" said Crowler

*Tsk tsk tsk*

I shook my head looking disappointed

"Dear Proctors, there's no such thing as a useless card, just useless individuals who can't discover their worth."

The Crowler frowned at that comment

"You're removing 10 cards from your deck! If you know so much, why don't you tell me exactly what benefits there could be for getting rid of 10 cards?! They could have been useful for getting out of tough situations?!"

I look at the proctor as I smirked

"I'll do you one better, activate Pot of Desires."

A pot with two distinct sides appears on my side of the field, one side had a menacing green grin while the other side had a lecherous purple face.

"I'm sure you don't need me to describe how this works but I'll do it anyways, 10 cards from the top of my deck are banished and in return I get to draw two cards."

"Now let's end this duel. I summon from my hand Gren Maju da Eiza!!"

What appeared on my side of the field was a demonic red creature with red Wings and sharp claws and serpentine like scaled body with 5 horns on its head.

Crowler looks at me horrified.

"What is this monster?! It looks like it came from hell?!"

I look at Crowler as I grinned.

"It's funny that you asked, when dual monsters was first released, this was a highly underrated card that nobody wanted to use. In fact, it was so underrated that people started getting rid of them in the trash and people viewed this card as bad luck. To this day there are only three copies left of this card that I know of, and their scarcity is all attributed by the dueling communities' own hands."

At this point the proctor took a look at the monster one more time and let loose a trembling breath

"You had me worried for a second, that monster has zero attack and defense. No wonder the card was so easily discarded as trash."

I look at him with the same smirk I had on my face from the very beginning

"You're absolutely right about that, and that was the reason why nobody wanted to play this card. But let me ask you a question have you ever seen a monster with 0 attack and 0 defense Without an effect? Even Kuriboh, the monster everyone states as the weakest of monsters had some use."

Suddenly all the Proctors who were viewing this dual got serious. Crowler himself knew as a staff of Dual Academy, Monster effects can be considered just as devastating as the most powerful of monsters when used correctly and something told him, this monster was not to be underestimated.

"When dual monsters was first released, not many dualists took the time to read card effects. I for one took extensive measure to learn and memorize EVERY card that was released.

No one played Gren Maju because no one was able to fully understand its ability. I mean who could, the game itself did not possess a Banished Zone at its initial release and by the time it was known, everyone had chosen to write the cards potential out."

I grinned.

"So, are you saying that you know its effects?" The proctor looked a little sick at this point.

"Of course, I do. I have always known that this monsters ATK/DEF is equal to the number of my banished Cards times 400." I said with a cheery smile.

Suddenly all the proctors viewing the dual turned pale and Crowler was no exception.

Suddenly Gren Maju's Attack and Defense rose. (0000/0000 -> 4000/4000)

"N.N.N. No way!"

I gave him my most Angelic smile as I signaled an attack in a light sing song voice.

"Gren Maju, please be a dear and attack directly with Void Blast."

Crowler 4000 -> 0000

At this the Proctor in question fainted as students started to file in at the last attack.

"And that's game!!"

I said in a sing song voice as I walked towards the stands to see others dueling.

I can finally take the time to make new friends now since the series should start soon.

"In the words of Jaden, it's time to get my Game On."

*For those who are wondering if this is considered his main Deck, don't worry, my character is just messing around. This is my very first dual scene I have ever written. I hope I did it correctly. I know it was a very short dual but I wanted to test the waters out this way first. The Next duel will of course be MUCH longer. Also, His main deck is something I'm still working out as we speak so, please do look forward to it. : )
