Chapter 2: Faith
The night sky and, stars shone bright, Amish like to think of it as the soul of a loved one.
After delivering sheepdog puppies, by the name of Elli. Bless her heart five in all none died. She cleaned them off and lay wagging her tail at her family of Peachy. Chloe helped her, and Mater also. Then called to the rest of the family setting in lawn chairs to come into the barn. Then tell Elli what a good job she did.
A while later returning to their chairs, drank colas, and ate popcorn. The bonfire burning bright, laughter was heard from the group, and small talk.
Then sit back looking at the stars, your hands while sitting relaxing, head back snoozing, petty a cat on your lap. Without a doubt, it happened quickly, an opening in the night sky, a light-colored wing on a horse, floated down to the ground.
Fater: " Look we must go to rescue the small horse. "
They all get up to follow his lead, then a slow run to get to this horse before danger does. Glitter fell from the sky, being stardust. Fater looped a loose collar of its head, clenched it, then hooked a rope to it. Thankfully the light-colored
horse didn't resist not seeming to mind.
Noah: " Fater over here, this barn the front is one stall." Fater agreed leading it inside a clean stall with lots of straw to walk on. Hay to eat, oats, and water. He petted her slowly yet firmly to let her know she was safe and secure.
They decided to sleep tonight in the barn because it has bunk house beds and a kitchenette. To provide care and a lookout for our new winged horse. Ladies left for bedtime leaving the Guys there.
The night and its events would never be forgotten. Instead would continue lasting a long time. Smells of a bonfire going outside. Fills one with an emotion of home, because of such a familiar smell. A rush of farm pride fills your heart to live this way. An understanding of the nature of the things our God provides.
Mater, Chloe, Hannah, Emma and our Virginia. Stepped inside instantly lit oil lamps to walk upstairs to bed. Each one was washed in a powder room just off the bedroom. This is exactly what they did before bedtime. They were lucky to have running water, so setting a lamp on the counter. Undressed stepped into a hot bubble bath. Your nightgown from a hook-on the door. The ladies slipped down underwater their noses sticking out from a bunch of bubbles. Use a long-handle soft brush to wash with. Violet Epson salt, is poured into the water, along with a bubble bath of the same scent.
After an hour-long soak, they each got out wrapped in a bath towel and one on her head. Each lady had their private room to sleep in. Toweling off then slipped a gown over the head, matching slippers.
The bed came easy tonight, laying under crisp sheets. Made it easy to fall fast asleep.
Dreams of Lily of the Valley, nature's best remedy to fall asleep. Memories of family singing at church time. A similar, joyful Time, of grasping the fundamentals of writing poetry.
