Chapter 5: Chapter Five: Stress 102
The next day by 6 am we were already dressed waiting for the day to break properly, Esther overheard our discussion last night and decided to join us. By 6:30 am we were standing in the already formed line, to our greatest surprise we weren't the only students that had that plan of coming that early and by 7 am, the digital library was open and we were among the first fifty (50) students to be sent in, before 10 am we had all done our own, instead of going to class we decided to proceed to the Admin block for our physical clearance, there was also another line there and before we knew it the line continued even to the ground floor, within a short while it was our turn, some people clearance were having some complications but thank God our's didn't have any issues at all it just went on smoothly and by 2 pm we were done with that stage, we then went on to the bank to pay our acceptance fee but we first went to the cyber café at Bamboo to generate our remittance, when we got to the bank there was also a queue there, it happened to be that the remittance payment site was having network issues, the network was actually coming and going. Within a short while after we entered they stopped allowing any one that came for remittance payment into the bank, at least they attended to us that were already inside the bank before they closed. Around past 5pm was when we actually finished with ours and then walked home discussing as it was hard to find any bus or shuttle, even Keke, before you could run to any one you waved down, people faster than you has already reached and filled it up. Omo! When we got home, it was just small thing that was remaining before I fainted, Esther offered to cook, I just managed to bath and dozed off. When the food was ready they woke I and Amanda that were sleeping, I immediately jumped out of bed and we devoured the food because everybody was hungry and exhausted, since morning we had only eaten once, after eating I started getting myself little by little, but the main thing that gave me joy was that I was done with my clearance, what usually took some people a week or even two weeks we were able to achieve within a day, although it took the entire day but it was worth it. The next day I decided I wouldn't go to school as well, let me just get this over with. The next day, early in the morning I was up, did my chores and prepared very quickly and left. I first of all went for my medicals, after that I went to the School of General Studies office and registered for my G.S and my books were given to me. On my way back I went to the bursary to confirm and stamp my acceptance fee payment, my sister had advised me earlier to always confirm all my payments at the bursary so that I wouldn't suffer much in my final year clearance, I didn't even plan to go to the bursary earlier but as a fresher we were always marked by a plastic file bag which is always with us and it contains all our school related documents, so there was nothing discouraging me from just stopping by at the bursary and confirming my payment. When my roommates came back and saw my books they were surprised so I just explained to them how my day went and they also took turns in gisting me about theirs.
