Chapter 38: 38
"Damn it!"
Inside the hastily assembled "Enemy of Humanity Frontline Command Center", the atmosphere was tense. The equipment was barely operational, and the personnel weren't fully ready when ominous news arrived.
The center's reluctant commander, Major General Sangi, scowled as he glared at the screen.
On it, a once-quiet park erupted with sudden turbulence. A fierce gust of wind rose, and two indistinct figures shot into the sky.
"Two identified Enemy of Humanity superhumans. Currently performing low to mid-altitude flight at 3,000 meters. Calculating speed…"
"They've broken the sound barrier. Current speed: 1.3 Mach… 1.5 Mach… 2.0 Mach… 3.0 Mach."
"Damn it!" Sangi cursed again, turning sharply to bark orders at his aide.
"Calculate their trajectory! Alert all units and bases along their path!"
He snapped at another group. "What about the Superhuman Countermeasure Team? Have they figured out the nature of their abilities yet, or are they just sitting around?"
"And the satellite imagery—can you finally tell me what's under that golden glow?"
Several agonizing minutes passed before his aide returned with partial updates.
"The Superhuman Countermeasure Team's analysis indicates there are three confirmed 'Enemies of Humanity.'
First: A silver-haired boy, approximately 15 years old. His abilities are highly complex and currently indeterminate.
Second: A muscular man with enhanced physical attributes. His strength alone surpasses all prior records, earning him an A-level threat classification.
Third: A man in strange robes wielding a spear. The golden light covering the park and the massive stone pillar are attributed to him.
Tentative classification: Rock Manipulation. Threat level: A+."
Sangi massaged his temples in frustration. "Where the hell did these A-class monsters come from? Wasn't C-class supposed to be the threshold for danger? They should've been purged long ago!"
The aide replied with a grim face, "There's no record of these three in any of our national databases—not even traces of their existence. It's as if they appeared out of nowhere."
"No records?" Sangi sneered. "Then they're foreign." He didn't linger on the issue. "Have you pinpointed their destination yet?"
The aide hesitated. "It's… odd. There's nothing significant along their flight path."
"What?" Sangi grabbed the tablet showing the trajectory map. His eyes narrowed as he examined the red line marking their route.
After a moment, his expression darkened.
"Damn it! There's a hidden Committee facility along this path."
Slamming the tablet down, Sangi barked, "Get me a video link to the Committee now!"
Before the link could be established, static filled the large screen displaying the park.
"Internal systems compromised!" shouted the tech officer. "We've been hacked!"
"Shut it down! Cut the power!" Sangi roared.
But his command came too late.
As the screen flickered, a chilling sight appeared.
Accelerator lounged casually at a conference table, his silver hair glowing faintly under the sterile lights.
In front of him, several Committee members knelt on the floor, trembling.
Nearby, mangled, unrecognizable corpses littered the ground, their blood pooling grotesquely on the pristine floor.
Sangi's face went pale, his body slumping into his chair. "We're finished…"
The only thought that repeated in his mind was: It's over.

Hands in his pockets, Accelerator strolled leisurely through the silver-white steel corridors of the underground Committee facility.
Weapons of all kinds assaulted him: laser traps, automated drones, even poison gas. But nothing could touch him.
Every step he took was deliberate, as if savoring the fear he was inflicting.
Before he had entered the facility, he had already mapped every inch of it, sealing all exits remotely. To him, the people inside were nothing more than trapped prey, their fate entirely in his hands.
Yet, he took his time, drawing out their dread with every step.
Minutes passed, and the facility's defenses fell one by one. Soldiers who dared to resist were torn apart like paper.
Finally, Accelerator reached the final door—the Committee's meeting room.
"Hello, dear Committee members! Esteemed leaders of this grand nation!"
He waved mockingly at the surveillance cameras outside the reinforced steel door, a sinister grin stretching across his face.
"When I open this door, I wonder… how should I kill you all?"
His tone was sickeningly cheerful, yet every word dripped with malice.
"Should I make you experience the same horrors you've inflicted on others? Don't worry—justice will be served, one by one."
He placed his hand on the door, his grin widening.
Without visible effort, the three-meter-thick steel door began to bend inward, denting under an unseen force.
The sound of screeching metal filled the air as the dent grew deeper and deeper.
Inside the room, the Committee members watched in horror.
One man, trembling uncontrollably, raised a pistol to his temple.
Bang!
A gunshot echoed. Blood and brain matter splattered the walls as his lifeless body collapsed.
At the same moment, the reinforced door finally gave way, exploding inward with a deafening crash.
Accelerator stepped through the smoke and debris, his silver hair gleaming under the flickering lights.
"Hey there, big shots."
His red eyes scanned the room, a twisted smile on his face.
"How's everyone doing today?"
He burst into maniacal laughter, the sound reverberating through the sealed chamber.
"Because I'm having the time of my life!"
