Chapter 11: Goblin king

Alex realized killing this one would be different and more difficult than those tiny goblins.

There was something different about this goblin compared to the others he'd faced.

The size of the goblin wasn't the only factor that made Alex doubt his abilities.

"Goblin King Furk," Alex muttered the name of the goblin he believed to be their leader.

The goblin, charging towards Alex, abruptly stopped mid-stride. "Human, how do you know the king's name?"

Alex was surprised. "You can speak our language?"

The Goblin King glared at Alex, his voice a low growl. "How dare a puny human dare to enter our lair and kill my kin?"

Alex thought the goblin would answer his question, but instead, he was threatened. The Goblin King spoke, "I'll skin you alive and wear your skin as my new pants."

Alex gripped his axe tighter. "You killed innocent people and defiled innocent women! You'll pay for this!"

The Goblin King laughed. "You humans are so ignorant. What we do is nothing compared to the horrors you inflict upon each other. We're merely trying to survive.

"We Goblins don't have females, and to ensure the survival of our race, our only option is to breed with women of other species."

"Perhaps one day, you'll witness the true depths of human cruelty and realize our actions are mere survival instincts compared to your kind's depravity."

Alex shook his head. "You may justify your actions, but I find them abhorrent. Your survival is not worth the suffering of others."

With a furious roar, Alex charged at the Goblin King, his weapons held high, ready to strike.

The Goblin King, unfazed by Alex's threat, raised his club and charged.

The clash of steel against wood echoed through the cave, the two combatants locked in a deadly dance.

Alex, fuelled by determination to eliminate the difficult enemy, swung his axe with brutal force, aiming for the Goblin King's exposed head.

The creature, however, was agile and cunning, dodging the blow with a swift sidestep. It retaliated with a powerful swing of its club, sending a shockwave through the air. Alex barely managed to deflect the blow, the force of the impact knocking him back several paces.

The Goblin King, sensing his opponent's vulnerability, pressed the attack. It lunged forward, its club raised high.

Alex, bracing himself, met the blow with his axe, the two weapons clashing with a deafening clang. The force of the impact sent tremors through both warriors, but neither would yield.

"You think you can defeat me, human?" the Goblin King taunted, its voice filled with contempt. "You are but a mere insect, destined to be crushed beneath my heel."

Alex gritted his teeth, his resolve unwavering. "We shall see, creature."

The battle raged on, a blur of steel and wood. The caves walls were scarred by the flying debris, and the ground was littered with splintered weapons and broken armour.

Alex, though weary, refused to give in. He fought with a ferocity, he felt a strange power is working in his favour, every time he loses the stamina, it relished and giving boos to Alex.

For the time being, he had forgotten about the item he won at the beginning of the game, 'the Permanent Stamina Syringe', which he hadn't used.

However, when he was fighting his battle with the horde of goblins, the game system automatically activated it, making it easier for Alex in his fights to fight for longer time with only temporary fatigue.

The Goblin King, sensing its opponent's determination, grew desperate. It unleashed a flurry of attacks, each more powerful than the last.

Alex, however, was equal to the challenge, parrying every blow with skill and precision.

A critical moment arrived when the Goblin King, overextending itself, left an opening. Alex seized the opportunity, lunging forward with a powerful strike.

The axe bit deep into the creature's flesh, a triumphant cry escaping Alex's lips. The Goblin King howled in pain, its grip on its club weakening.

Alex, sensing victory within reach, redoubled his efforts. With a final, decisive blow, he severed the creature's head from its body. The headless corpse fell to the ground with a heavy thud, its lifeless form a testament to Alex's courage and skill.

As the dust settled, Alex stood over the fallen foe, panting heavily. The battle had taken its toll, but he had emerged victorious.

A sense of peace washed over Alex as he surveyed the carnage. He had done what he had set out to do.

The remaining men has fallen but Alex didn't feel bad for them as they were not some good people, at least not in his eyes.

Checking his surroundings, he saw seven pregnant women laying on the corner of the cave. Their lifeless eyes were unbothered by the carnage done by Alex.
