Dungeon & Milfs

Chapter 4: Gavie's Explanation

"Listen, brother," Gavie began his explanation.

"You can see the map section in your status window, right? So, if you open it after you've received your tasks, you can see the places of the task and even information about the task giver. Check it first, then I'll continue."

Gavie made sure that Alex was satisfied with the given information. Alex did the same and opened the Map section on his status window.

[Map]

Three dots appeared on the map of the Village, each marked with a small icon featuring a face. He recognized the red-headed woman's face as Jane, the only female among the three task givers. Alex checked her status and read the information about Jane.

[Jane Smith]

[Husband: Paul Smith]

[Son: Adrian]

Mrs. Jane's son had wandered into the forest, where many beasts lurked. She sought a brave adventurer to find her son.

Reward: Token for Acquiring a Class, Mrs. Jane's Favor (Event)

He didn't check the other two tasks, intending to do so later. He confirmed his understanding and looked at Gavie to continue.

"See, brother, you've checked it, right? Hope you're satisfied." Then he continued, "So another thing here is that, because of the capsule we players use, we don't have to take breaks for eating and sleeping or go offline, as the sleeping and eating here will somehow replenish our bodies."

"That's impossible," Alex replied quickly. "How can eating here help us in the real world? Though sleeping might be possible, eating? Nah, I don't think so."

Gavie shrugged, "Brother, the game is just three months old. No one knows for sure if it's true. We can only find out by trying it ourselves. This information is something I received from Forms."

"Why didn't you try it yourself, if you know about it?" Alex asked directly.

"Well, brother, I'm in college, so it's not possible for me to play for a full month without going offline, not until winter break."

"Tell me something authentic, not something that's not confirmed," Alex demanded, seeking verifiable information.

"Okay, okay, brother. I'm getting to that. So, brother, this is very important, and you'll love it. When you're eligible to enter Dungeons or get your hands on rare items, you can either sell the items to the locals or sell them directly through the game servers."

Gavie knew that almost everyone in the game was there to make easy money, and this information was crucial, even for Alex, who hadn't read the forums.

But when he saw Alex's stern face, he smiled shamelessly and added, "Ah, brother, there's another piece of information to add to that. You see, there are many Dungeons in this game, and almost every item comes from there."

"The criteria for entering the Dungeons are to be part of a Guild. But beware, brother, because there are Guilds who've taken advantage of the game's free environment and use underhanded tactics to force new players to join their Guilds."

"The important piece of information is that NPCs cannot enter the Dungeons, which means only we players are eligible to enter them," Gavie explained.

Alex, not really interested in all this information, demanded, "Just tell me about the Token of Acquiring a Job Class."

"Oh, brother, why not? I'll answer your last two questions together," Gavie wondered, still puzzled by Alex's lack of interest in crucial game information.

Gavie wondered how strange this person was. He'd spent so much money on the world's first VR game, promising real-life experiences, and yet he wasn't interested in such crucial information.

"The Token of Acquiring a Job Class is the most important part of the game. Brother, if you're interested in being a warrior, then choose from the many options available in the Warrior class. Similarly, there's the Wizard Class, Profession Class, and Miscellaneous classes like mine, which is Guide," Gavie explained.

"The Warrior class is for those who prefer brute force and close-combat skills. They're divided into Knight, Berserker, and Paladin, each with unique strengths and weaknesses. Knights excel in defense and support, Berserkers are pure damage dealers, and Paladins are a balance of both.

The Wizard class, on the other hand, focuses on magical abilities. They're split into Elementalists, Necromancers, and Enchanters. Elementalists command the forces of nature, Necromancers wield dark magic, and Enchanters specialize in buffs and debuffs.

The Profession class is for those who prefer crafting and support roles. They include Blacksmiths, Alchemists, Tailors, and Cooks. Each profession is essential for crafting equipment, potions, and food.

And finally, the Miscellaneous class includes a variety of roles, such as Guides, Merchants, and Thieves. Guides, like me, assist new players, while Merchants handle trade and commerce. Thieves, well, they're experts in stealth and thievery."

"There are many more classes within these categories, but for now, brother, this is the basic information we needed to start our game. He gave a wide smile, "So, brother, how do you like my info? Hope you'll use my service in the future."

"Oh, the most important info, brother. When you complete the first task, you'll be teleported to the Temple of Job Class where you can explore more and choose the best-fitting job for you. It'll be similar to the gift boxes you must have received at the beginning of the game," Gavie explained.

Alex's expression suddenly changed. He had thought the gift boxes were specially only for him, but it seemed that wasn't the case. He asked, "One last thing, what will happen if we die in the game? Will it be game over or will we get another chance?"

Alex wanted to be free and wild, without restrictions or laws. But he knew that if he died, he'd have to start from the beginning, and he didn't want that. So, before going wild in the game, he needed to confirm his doubt.
