Chapter 29 Sun Moon Mountain Range 13
Standing beside the old man was another man, whose strength was not low, though Yilin and Yiluo hadn’t initially noticed due to their height advantage.
Yemo crossed her arms, her expression indifferent as she addressed the two intruders, “Aren’t you the elders and guards of the prince? What are you doing here instead of protecting him?”
The old man’s face reddened at Yemo’s words. Naturally, they didn’t want to follow Yemo, but they had been ordered to do so by the Crown Prince in an attempt to please Ye Yan. They had no choice in the matter.
With a resigned tone, the old man coughed and explained, “Miss Yemo, this is a direct order from His Highness the Crown Prince. He wishes to teach you a lesson. If you have any complaints, take it up with the Second Miss. Don’t blame the old man, and certainly don’t blame His Highness the Crown Prince.”
Having said that, the old man launched an attack on Yilin and Yiluo.
“Yilin, Yiluo, split up,” Yemo ordered, her tone unwavering. “Wait for me at our designated meeting point.”
“But, Miss…” Yiluo hesitated, her brow furrowed in concern.
“Go,” Yemo reiterated, her expression stern.
Seeing her resolve, Yilin and Yiluo didn’t protest further and swiftly left the scene, leaving Yemo alone.
“Fifth Miss, those two maids were assigned to protect you. Allowing them to leave may put you in a more dangerous situation,” the old man remarked, exchanging a glance with the man beside him.
Observing their intentions, Yemo swiftly moved into action. She clenched her fists and launched an attack on the man without hesitation.
The man was caught off guard by Yemo’s sudden assault and staggered back in response. He remained in his spot, turning to the old man with a puzzled expression.
The old man had also witnessed Yemo’s attack and was taken aback. He couldn’t believe that a seven-year-old child could strike so fiercely and swiftly.
“His Royal Highness the Crown Prince instructed you to teach me a lesson, correct?” Yemo questioned the elder, her gaze cold and bottomless, reminiscent of an abyss that could consume one’s soul with a single look.
Facing Yemo’s chilling stare, the elder instinctively took a step back. Her gaze was too terrifying, entirely unlike the eyes of a seven-year-old child.
Everyone in the Qilan Empire knew that the direct daughter of the Ye family was considered a waste, but was a child with such a menacing presence truly a waste?
“I…” The elder struggled to form words, unsure of what to say.
“Elder, why should we fear her? We might as well take action directly,” the man beside the elder suggested, wearing a hostile expression.
He had nearly been attacked by her moments ago. Yet, how powerful could a seven-year-old child be?
The elder scanned Yemo’s surroundings with his spiritual power but detected no power fluctuations. The absence of power fluctuations indicated that she was a warrior, not a magician.
Upon realizing this, the elder relaxed somewhat. He sneered at Yemo and commented, “I thought you were something special, but it seems you’re just a warrior. A warrior challenging a magician should be well aware of the consequences.”
“Consequences?” Yemo raised an eyebrow, a bloodthirsty smile appearing on her delicate face. “I’m curious to find out. Why don’t you teach me?”
