Ghost Slayer: My Wife Kanao

Chapter 22: ch22

"Damn it," Shinobu Kocho muttered, annoyed at Kanao, who was slapping the ghost's head with her little hand, feeling as if her lungs were about to explode.

She only needed to stop the ghost at the critical moment and let the sun take care of him. At that time, she could make the arrogant ghost who ignored her pay the price for underestimating her.

But now, everything had been ruined by this "fool."

Really infuriating.

Kanao Tsuyuri looked at Shinobu with her little head tilted. She didn't quite understand the meaning of the word "fool." Her big purple eyes just stared at Shinobu, appearing empty, yet there seemed to be a hint of emotion in them.

As Kanao patted his head with her small hands, Sam quickly realized that Shinobu Kocho had woken up.

"I was a bit careless," he thought secretly.

Just as he was about to knock Shinobu unconscious again, he felt a sharp pain in his waist.

"Boom..."

It was Shinobu Kocho, who knew her awakening had been discovered, attacking decisively. She clenched her fist and punched Sam in the side of the waist.

Although Shinobu's strength was small, the punch she delivered with all her might wasn't insignificant. Feeling the pain in his waist, Sam instinctively released the arm that was holding Shinobu.

Falling to the ground, Shinobu rolled over and stood up. Her short hair was extremely messy at this moment, and her delicate face showed a pained expression.

Shinobu felt a sharp pain in her feet and lowered her head unconsciously. Strands of blood continued to seep out of her socks, where she had been injured by the lead bullet. After some strenuous activity, the previously stopped bleeding started again.

As a doctor, Shinobu knew that if she didn't treat it in time, she might suffer from long-term consequences, possibly even becoming crippled. She was already distressed by her lack of height; if she became crippled, she really didn't know what she would do.

Shinobu knew she shouldn't be thinking about these things at this moment, but she couldn't help it.

Meanwhile, the ghost opposite her was already crouching, knees bent, gaining momentum.

"Pant..."

Shinobu took a deep breath, praying that she could hold out until dawn.

"Boom..."

With a muffled sound, Sam shot toward Shinobu like a cannonball, like a ferocious beast, so terrifying.

The girl resisted the pain in her feet and stepped on the ground, her whole body moving like a dancing butterfly.

"Boom..."

Behind her, a tree as thick as the girth of a person was broken by the ghost's punch.

The girl kept dodging with light footsteps, trying to escape into the distance. If she wasn't injured, Shinobu was confident that even if she couldn't defeat him, she could surely escape.

But now, with her leg and wrist previously shot, and the lead bullets embedded in her flesh, every movement was accompanied by piercing pain, severely slowing her down. Still, she gritted her teeth and persisted, hoping the sun would rise soon and burn this ghost to death.

"Boom..."

Another punch came, accompanied by a strong wind, as if the surrounding air was torn apart at that moment.

The girl's petite body was like a flying butterfly, dodging his attack.

But at this moment, Sam had already stepped forward quickly, closing in on Shinobu.

A sweeping, whip-like leg kicked at her. Shinobu clenched her red lips with her white teeth, stretched her palms, and slapped the kicking foot, using a technique to send herself away with the opponent's kick.

Unsurprisingly, she succeeded, and with the help of the ghost's kick, the girl quickly retreated like a dancing butterfly.

But Shinobu didn't notice what was behind her. A huge tree blocked her retreat.

Shinobu took a deep breath, trying to change her trajectory, but two gunshots, one left and one right, blocked her path. She had no choice but to crash into the large tree helplessly.

Fortunately, before the collision, she prepared herself, using her breathing technique to enhance the resilience of the part of her body that would be impacted.

"Boom."

The tree broke in the middle, and the girl's petite body rolled several times on the grass, her hair disheveled, looking extremely embarrassed.

Enduring the severe pain, Shinobu struggled to stand up, but the shadow of the ghost was approaching, almost ready to capture her.

"Asshole, shameless, a ghost using firearms, are you even a ghost?" she yelled angrily.

Sam completely ignored her anger and swiped his palm.

"Tear."

The girl's clothes were torn.

Shinobu's eyes widened, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Just as she was about to shout, the ghost made the torn clothes into a ball and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Mmfff..."

Shinobu wanted to curse, but her mouth was blocked, and she could only make a muffled sound like crying.

"Tear, tear..."

There was the sound of clothes being torn again.

The ghost tore open her standard uniform of the Demon Slayer Corps and twisted it into a rope, binding first her legs and then her hands.

"Mmfff..."

She wanted to curse, but couldn't. She could only stare angrily at the ghost with her purple eyes, filled with shame and fury.

But the ghost didn't care about her eyes at all.

Angry, Shinobu's chest rose and fell.

Sam didn't pay it any mind and softly said to Kanao, who was holding his neck tightly with her small hands, "Move aside."

Kanao obediently stepped aside.

Sam didn't have any thoughts of pity. He pulled the girl hard and carried Shinobu over his shoulder, like a sack.

The soft chest was pressed against the ghost's shoulders, causing Shinobu to feel tightness in her chest. She struggled hard, but the ghost's binding was too tight, and she couldn't break free with her weak strength.

Beside her, the little girl with her small hands around the ghost's neck tilted her head, quietly watching the struggling woman. She seemed curious about why this sister was struggling, as it was so warm on her fiancé's back.

It seemed she found Shinobu too noisy.

Sam slapped Shinobu on the head with his palm. The girl suddenly went limp and passed out.
