Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - A New Day
Cherry blossoms are flying and birds singing. Infront of Daemon high schools Stood Sena wandering around with a tangled look on his face.
"Sena! Here, Here!" shouted Mamori walking along with TJ.
Observing the many high school students around him looking at Sena with envy and jealousy after Mamori held his hand, TJ was speechless. So many students didn't even hide their jealousy and openly cursed at Sena.
"Good morning Sena, What are you up to?" said TJ, still a little bit sleepy after his flight yesterday.
"Morning TJ, I'm just heading over to my club" said Sena wearily
"Club? What club did you join and why didnt you tell me!" shouted Mamori, shaking Sena.
As the conversation shifted toward Sena's new football club, Mamori leaned forward with an worried expression. "American Football Club? but that's Hirumas Club. Did he force you to join?"
"No, No. I met a senior named Kurita yesterday and he was really kind!" explained Sena trying to calm Mamori down. He started to explain how he was going to be a manager for the club to help get them to the Christmas bowl.
"Christmas bowl? What's that?" asked TJ
"Oh! Its the Final Championship game of Japan's American High School football tournament, where the winners of The Two Regions Kanto and Kansai meet to decide who the best football team is between the high schools of Japan!" Explained Sena excitedly. As he started rambling on about helping Kurita reach his dream.
"Well, have fun at your club sena. I have to take TJ to get this class schedule and show him around school. Oh and tell me if Hiruma Starts bullying you, I'll straighten him out right away, humph!" Exclaimed Mamori as she started dragging TJ towards the registration office.
TJ had just wrapped up his school registration, the paperwork completed and his student ID in hand. The feeling of being officially enrolled in school had finally sunk in. He was looking forward to the start of classes and diving into his new life in Japan. As he exited the registration building, he glanced around, taking in the vibrant campus. The sun was high in the sky, and the air was warm, typical for an early autumn afternoon.
He was about to pull out his phone and check for any messages from Mamori when a loud voice cut through the air, followed by the unmistakable sound of sneakers scraping against the grass.
"Oi, Sena! Move it!"
TJ's head snapped up to see a tall figure, his distinctive white hair standing out against the blue sky, dragging a smaller figure across the field with surprising strength. It took him a second to process what he was seeing, but when the smaller figure slipped out from under the strong grip, TJ recognized him immediately.
"Wait, is that… Sena?" TJ muttered to himself, his curiosity piqued.
Sure enough, Sena was stumbling alongside the white-haired figure, who was none other than Hiruma Youichi—the infamous quarterback of the football team, known for his intimidating and no-nonsense attitude.
"Hiruma!" Sena was shouting, trying to break free from the relentless tugging, but the quarterback was having none of it. "Let me go! I told you, I'm still not sure about this!"
Hiruma's grin was wide, almost predatory, as he pulled Sena forward, ignoring his protests. "Shut up and stop whining, you're joining the team whether you like it or not. There's no backing out once you've signed up!"
TJ couldn't help but chuckle under his breath as he watched the spectacle unfold before him. He had heard the stories about Hiruma's wild antics and how he managed to recruit players by practically forcing them into the game. It was clear that Sena, despite his protests, was no exception.
"Sena looks like he's having a rough time," TJ said aloud to himself, crossing his arms and leaning against a nearby tree. "I can't imagine what it's like being dragged into something like this on day one."
He had a good view of them now, as Hiruma finally gave Sena a bit of a break and let him catch his breath on the edge of the field. But the quarterback wasn't about to let up. He smirked at Sena, who was clearly trying to compose himself.
"Alright, rookie," Hiruma said, his voice booming across the field. "You wanted in on the team, now show me what you've got! I'm not gonna let you slack off, so get ready!"
Sena was rubbing his arm, looking a little dazed but determined. "I—yeah, okay. I'll give it a shot… just… please don't drag me again!"
TJ couldn't help but laugh quietly to himself. He was excited to see where this would go, knowing that Sena, despite his reluctance, had a fiery determination beneath his shy exterior. From what he had heard about the football team and Hiruma's leadership, it was clear that if anyone could push Sena to his limits, it was Hiruma.
As the pair made their way to the football pitch, TJ decided to walk over and introduce himself, already looking forward to meeting more of the people who made up the dynamic team.
