Hokage: I Am an Uchiha with the Power to Extract Entries

Chapter 28: Return To Konoha

At this moment, Uchiha Yuma grasped the reality of the situation.

The Third Kazekage was beyond saving.

So... he acted decisively.

Yuma, carrying the poisoned Kazekage on his shoulders, summoned Wind Chakra from his reserves.

As is well-known, even without forming a ninjutsu technique, Wind Chakra is inherently sharp and deadly.

Under Yuma's precise control, the sharp Wind Chakra pierced through the Kazekage's heart with a sickening puff sound.

But Yuma didn't stop there.

The Wind Chakra flowed through the Kazekage's body, heading for his brain, obliterating it within moments.

Thus, Uchiha Yuma silently ended the life of the Third Kazekage.

In Yuma's mind, there was no other choice. The Kazekage's body was already poisoned and gravely injured by Scorpion's puppet attack. Immediate medical aid was impossible, and trying to carry him would have only endangered Yuma and the entire mission.

But there was another motive Yuma didn't voice.

On his personal system interface, a notification appeared:

Combat Points: +1000

Seeing the points rise, Yuma felt a momentary surge of satisfaction. This was the largest single gain he'd achieved since awakening his Sharingan.

Still, there was no time to dwell on this.

Yuma glanced at the encroaching attacks from Scorpion's puppets and the Wind Release techniques launched by the Sand ninjas. He had to act quickly.

He abandoned the Kazekage's lifeless body.

Throwing a Flying Thunder God Kunai toward Minato Namikaze, Yuma activated the teleportation jutsu in a flash, vanishing from the battlefield.

In the next instant, Yuma reappeared beside Minato Namikaze.

Lowering his gaze to feign guilt, Yuma said solemnly:

"Minato-sensei, I couldn't save the Third Kazekage. The neurotoxin paralyzed his body, and moving him with Flying Thunder God was impossible. I'm sorry... Kazekage-sama couldn't make it."

Minato Namikaze looked at Yuma, his face serious but understanding.

"I see, Yuma. You did everything you could. Let's leave now."

The urgency in Minato's voice was unmistakable. The Third Kazekage's death during their mission would undoubtedly escalate tensions between Konoha and the Hidden Sand. Minato's focus was now on returning to the village and preparing for the fallout.

With that, the two vanished from the battlefield.

Back at the Konoha Camp

When Yuma and Minato returned, the morale among the Konoha forces skyrocketed.

All eyes were now on Yuma, the young Uchiha who had stood shoulder to shoulder with Minato Namikaze.

Whispers filled the camp:

"Did you see him? That's the boy who fought Scorpion and survived."

"He's the one who defeated one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen and took the Executioner's Blade!"

To many, Yuma was no longer just an ordinary Uchiha—he was a rising star.

Even veteran ninjas like Akimichi Choza and Aburame Shibi, who had previously doubted Yuma's capabilities, couldn't hide their amazement.

"I never thought I'd see an Uchiha of this caliber," Shibi murmured, adjusting his glasses.

Choza nodded in agreement, his tone thoughtful:

"The boy is only twelve, yet he managed to hold his own against a ninja of Scorpion's level. Uchiha has produced a true genius this time."

Shibi added with a hint of foreboding:

"This mission will undoubtedly shift the power dynamics in Konoha. The Uchiha clan's influence will grow significantly after this."

Choza sighed deeply.

"The wind is changing in Konoha, my friend. The Uchiha are about to rise again."

Returning to Konoha

After successfully completing the mission and ensuring the safety of the River Daimyo and his son, the Konoha team made their way back to the Hidden Leaf Village.

Yuma couldn't shake the feeling that the death of the Third Kazekage would have far-reaching consequences. Minato's desperate attempts to save Kazekage during the mission had revealed his understanding of the precarious situation in the ninja world.

If the Sand Village discovered their Kazekage's death and blamed Konoha, war would be inevitable.

Minato Namikaze knew this, which is why the team returned to Konoha at top speed.

Hokage's Office

Upon arriving, Minato immediately headed for the Hokage's office to deliver the dire news.

Inside, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, listened in stunned silence as Minato recounted the mission.

"You're telling me... the Third Kazekage was killed by the Red Sand Scorpion during your mission?!" Sarutobi's voice was filled with disbelief.

Minato nodded grimly.

"Yes, Lord Third. The situation was unavoidable. Scorpion ambushed Kazekage with a neurotoxin, and we were unable to save him."

Hiruzen took a long drag from his pipe, his brow furrowed deeply.

"This is bad... very bad. Regardless of the truth, the Sand Village will blame us for Kazekage's death. They'll accuse us of sabotage, and tensions will escalate."

At that moment, a dark and ominous presence entered the room.

An elderly advisor with a grim expression stepped forward, his voice cold:

"Hokage-sama, if we do not act swiftly, this could lead to another Great Ninja War."

The weight of his words hung heavily in the air.

Minato clenched his fists, determination flickering in his eyes.

The storm was coming. Konoha needed to be ready.
