Looking at the panel, Uchiha Yuma felt a surge of excitement. He had spent 20 combat points upgrading his entries, and the combination of [Genius (Gold)] and [Uchiha (Purple)] allowed his green entries to rise to blue. This boost elevated his strength to the level of an ordinary Jōnin.
Although his Jōnin strength was average by system standards, it was still a significant achievement. Jōnin in Konoha were known to be stronger than their counterparts in other villages, making this accomplishment even more meaningful.
As Yuma reflected on his progress, Uchiha Obito approached, glancing at the sky.
"Yuma, what are you thinking about?" Obito asked.
"Hmm… Nothing much," Yuma replied. "I was just wondering if Minato-sensei will be easy to get along with."
"Haha, don't worry about that," Obito said with a grin. "Minato-sensei is a kind and powerful ninja. You'll like him!"
"Really? Then I'm relieved. I trust you, Obito."
Hearing this, Obito scratched his head sheepishly and looked at the sky.
"It's getting late. Let's head back," he suggested.
Yuma stood up, brushing off the dust from his clothes.
"Alright. Let's meet tomorrow, Obito."
"Sure, Yuma!"
The Next Morning
Uchiha Yuma arrived early at the meeting point near the Forest of Death, as specified on the notification scroll.
As he entered the training ground, he noticed a familiar figure with white hair. Raising his hand in greeting, Yuma called out:
"Hey, Kakashi! Still as punctual as ever."
Kakashi, maintaining his usual stoic expression, nodded.
"Punctuality is a ninja's code and must be followed," he replied curtly.
"You haven't changed," Yuma remarked with a smile. Scanning the area, he added, "It's just the two of us?"
Kakashi sighed, glancing at his watch.
"Yes, and if the others don't show up soon, we might have to change teams."
Just then, a girl with a kind expression rushed into the training ground, bowing deeply.
"Sorry for being late!" she said breathlessly.
"Kakashi?!" she exclaimed, recognizing him.
"Rin!" Kakashi responded, his voice betraying a hint of surprise.
"I can't believe we're on the same team," Rin said, beaming with joy.
Yuma chuckled and stepped forward.
"Don't forget me in your reunion," he said playfully. Extending a hand, he introduced himself. "I'm Uchiha Yuma. I'll be joining your team."
Realizing she had overlooked Yuma, Rin blushed.
"I'm so sorry! My name is Nohara Rin. It's nice to meet you, Yuma."
A Flash of Gold
Before the group could continue, a golden blur flashed across the training ground. Namikaze Minato appeared, his smile radiating warmth.
"Good! Looks like everyone's here… except Obito," Minato said with a chuckle.
Rin explained apologetically, "Sensei, Obito is probably helping an old lady cross the street. That's why he's late."
Minato nodded understandingly.
"That sounds like Obito," he said with a smile. "Let's wait a little longer for him."
Kakashi, however, was less forgiving. He sighed in frustration, muttering, "Late again…"
Moments later, Uchiha Obito came sprinting into the training ground, panting heavily.
"Sorry, everyone! I was helping an old lady cross the street," he explained, clasping his hands in apology.
Kakashi crossed his arms, giving Obito a cold stare.
"Hmph! Just don't make it a habit," Kakashi said dismissively.
"Is that you, Kakashi?!" Obito exclaimed, his irritation evident. He had never liked Kakashi, especially because of Rin's obvious admiration for him.
"Enough, Obito," Rin interjected gently. "Let's all get along as a team."
Her kind words made Obito blush, though he quickly tried to hide it.
Introductions
Minato clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention.
"Alright, now that everyone's here, let's introduce ourselves," he began. "Obito, Rin, and Kakashi already know each other. So, Yuma, why don't you start?"
Yuma nodded, stepping forward confidently.
"I'm Uchiha Yuma, a Genin from Konoha. My favorite food is meat, and I don't particularly dislike anything. My dream is to live in a peaceful world and enjoy true freedom."
"Simple and admirable," Minato remarked. Extending a hand, he added, "I'm Namikaze Minato, a Jōnin of Konoha. My dream is to become Hokage and protect the people I love."
Yuma shook Minato's hand firmly, his excitement evident.
"Minato-sensei, I look forward to learning from you!"
As their hands connected, a brilliant golden light emanated from Minato's body. Among the radiance, Yuma focused on the brightest golden hue.
A thought raced through his mind.
"System, extract the brightest golden entry!"
