Chapter 7: Children Of Time And Space
A subtle fluctuation, visible only to Yuma, rippled through the air. The golden glow of the entry was drawn from Namikaze Minato's body by the system, materializing in his mind as it displayed the extracted entry.
[Son of Time and Space (Gold)]:
Proof of your unparalleled mastery over time and space. You are a unique descendant of temporal and spatial abilities!
Spatial Perception: Enhanced to an extraordinary level. Reflex Nerves: Substantially amplified.
Now it was clear why the Flying Thunder God Technique, created by the Second Hokage Senju Tobirama, had evolved in Minato's hands.
Senju Tobirama could only teleport himself, but Minato had taken the technique to another level—expanding its style and application. He turned it into an art no less impressive than the techniques wielded by the Ōtsutsuki clan.
It seemed that Namikaze Minato's immense natural talent for time and space was the reason for this evolution.
However, Yuma didn't dwell on this revelation for long. He quickly released Minato's hand, turned around, and joined his teammates who were waiting nearby.
Minato Namikaze, smiling as he observed the group, retrieved three bells from his ninja pouch.
"Next, I'll use these bells to test you. Only those who pass the test will become full-fledged ninjas," he announced.
Seeing this familiar scene, Yuma internally chuckled.
The classic bell test—tradition in the Hokage lineage.
Already knowing the true purpose of this test, Yuma stepped forward confidently.
"Minato-sensei, perhaps you could explain the rules in detail so we can devise a proper strategy?"
He asked this deliberately, as the true aim of the test was teamwork. By encouraging Minato to explain the rules, it would give his team an opportunity to devise a unified plan, setting them on the path to success from the start.
Minato Namikaze, a brilliant strategist himself, immediately understood Yuma's intent. His admiration for the young Uchiha grew.
This boy is smart. He's already grasped the essence of this exercise.
Acknowledging this, Minato explained the test:
"The objective is to retrieve these bells from me. However, one of you will ultimately be eliminated."
As Minato finished, Yuma gathered his teammates—Kakashi, Rin, and Obito—in a corner to discuss their plan.
Team Strategy Discussion
"Everyone should be clear about this: we need to work together to get those bells," Yuma began, his tone confident yet calm. "As for Minato-sensei's statement that one of us will be eliminated… that's a bluff."
Kakashi and Rin nodded knowingly, their expressions calm and focused.
Yuma couldn't help but feel impressed. Kakashi's experience was evident, and Rin, though gentle, showed a clear understanding of the test's underlying purpose.
Obito, however, looked confused.
"Wait… Minato-sensei was lying about the elimination?" he asked, scratching his head.
Yuma sighed, suppressing a chuckle.
"Yes, Obito. Don't worry about it. Just follow our plan."
"Tch! You make it sound like I'm useless," Obito grumbled.
"No one said that," Yuma reassured him. "We'll need your strength too."
Encouraged, Obito nodded, his spirits lifting.
The Bell Test Begins
Yuma stepped forward to face Minato, brimming with confidence.
"Minato-sensei, we're ready. Let's start."
Minato nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"Very well. From the way you've positioned yourself, it seems you're taking the lead."
"Yes, Sensei!" Yuma replied.
As chakra surged into his eyes, Yuma activated his Sharingan, its double tomoe spinning ominously.
With swift hand seals, he unleashed a powerful jutsu:
[Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique]
A massive fireball, accompanied by waves of scorching heat, roared toward Minato.
Simultaneously, his teammates sprang into action.
The training ground was quickly consumed in a whirlwind of taijutsu, ninjutsu, and strategy.
Reactions from the Team
Obito watched in awe, his mouth agape.
"This… this is insane! Yuma's moving at a completely different level!" he muttered, his heart pounding.
His thoughts turned to Yuma's Sharingan.
"Is this because of Sharingan? If I had mine awakened, could I be as strong as him?"
"Obito, focus!" Rin's voice cut through his thoughts. She hurled shuriken toward Minato while keeping a close eye on Obito.
"Yuma-kun is giving his all to keep Sensei occupied. Let's do our part!"
"Got it!" Obito replied, forming hand seals determinedly.
Kakashi's Perspective
Kakashi, observing Yuma's movements, was equally shocked.
What the…? How did Yuma get so strong?
The last time they worked together, Yuma had been a capable Genin on the verge of becoming a Chūnin. Now, his movements rivaled those of a seasoned ninja.
Is this all because of Sharingan?
Despite his surprise, Kakashi's battle instincts took over. He activated [Lightning Style: Body Activation], his speed increasing dramatically as he joined Yuma in the assault.
Minato's Observations
Minato, effortlessly evading their attacks, maintained a calm demeanor. However, inwardly, he was astonished.
This boy… his reflexes are on par with mine.
He could feel Yuma's heightened reaction speed—a level rarely seen in a Genin.
Such reflexes, combined with time and space ninjutsu, could make him a worthy successor to my Flying Thunder God technique.
Despite the intense battle, Minato couldn't help but smile.
It seems this Uchiha boy has great potential. Let's see how far he can go.
The battle raged on, with Minato skillfully countering every move, yet the determination of his students only grew. Their teamwork, forged through trust and strategy, would be tested to its limits.
