Hokage Teacher: With Dimensional Teacter System

Chapter 25: Chapter 26: What to Do if the Teacher is Too Rebellious

"You keep asking me to leave, then telling me to stay. It's hard for me to handle this," Mu Yue said with a half-smile, looking at Asuma.

"Can't you negotiate with me? How about we compromise? I won't ask for too much, but during the lessons, you have to listen to me," Asuma suggested.

It wasn't that he didn't want to be taught, he just had a rebellious streak and didn't want to accept his father's arrangements.

"No, no, no. The issue isn't that your requests are too high, it's that I lack the ability to meet them. So, I should leave," Mu Yue said, turning to walk away after hearing Asuma's proposal.

"Alright, you don't have to listen to me, but don't leave just yet," Asuma quickly called out, seeing that Mu Yue was really about to leave. He had no choice but to give in.

"Then can we start the lesson?" Mu Yue asked with a smile.

When dealing with a rebellious student like Asuma, one had to be more rebellious than he was—fighting fire with fire.

"Fine, let's do it this way. What are you going to teach?" Asuma reluctantly agreed.

In his mind, he had expected that he would be the one making the decisions and that Mu Yue would try to convince him. But things weren't going according to his plan.

Though he didn't care much for his identity, and even disliked it a little, Asuma had to admit that being the son of the Hokage gave him many privileges.

Mu Yue looked around and then said, "Let's train outside. This place isn't very suitable."

After briefly informing Biwa Lake, Mu Yue took Asuma outside for training, leading him to a small forest with a river.

"Let's start by testing your chakra control. Try climbing this tree," Mu Yue said, pointing to a tall tree.

"Climb a tree? That's easy. I'll show you," Asuma grinned, his eyes flashing with mischief as he thought of something.

He walked to the thick, tall tree and, without using chakra, climbed it like a nimble monkey, quickly reaching the top.

"See how fast I climbed?" Asuma called down, beaming with pride.

Of course, he knew what Mu Yue meant by "climbing the tree," but he was deliberately refusing to cooperate.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had been observing through a crystal ball, silently rubbed his forehead, feeling helpless.

Although his nickname was "Monkey" when he was younger, even he had never done anything like this. What on earth had he brought into this world?

"That was quick, and you have good strength in your limbs," Mu Yue said, not getting upset as Asuma might have imagined. Instead, he praised him with a smile.

Mu Yue then found a slender tree, cut off its branches, and poured oil on it, looking at Asuma with a smile.

"Let's treat that as a warm-up. Now, let's start the real tree climbing."

Asuma looked at the bare, oil-covered tree, his face twitching. No matter how good he was at climbing, he knew he couldn't do it without chakra.

"Don't worry if you can't climb it. Admitting your shortcomings is also a sign of courage," Mu Yue said calmly.

"Who says I can't climb it? Don't underestimate me!" Asuma, the nine-year-old graduate, was immediately triggered by the challenge. He focused chakra into his feet and steadily climbed to the top.

"Your chakra control is decent," Mu Yue nodded, not too surprised.

Next, Mu Yue led Asuma to the riverbank.

"Since climbing the tree isn't a problem, let's see if you can walk on water," Mu Yue said, continuing to test Asuma's chakra control.

For most people, chakra was limited, and increasing its efficiency was an excellent way to enhance their abilities.

"If you can stand on the water for ten minutes without falling, you can train whatever you like from now on," Mu Yue offered as an incentive.

"This is your promise, don't go back on your word," Asuma said, his face lighting up. He had already begun thinking of ways to counter the teacher's challenges, but he didn't expect Mu Yue to offer him such an opportunity.

Walking on water might be difficult for newly graduated Genin, but for Asuma, it was easy.

Asuma confidently gathered chakra in his feet and walked across the river. The river wasn't very wide, only about 20 meters.

"That old man is so controlling, even after graduating as a ninja, he still arranged for a tutor," Asuma muttered under his breath.

He was looking forward to seeing the expression on his father's face when he returned home, telling him that the tutor had agreed to let him train freely.

Suddenly, Asuma felt something was wrong. He looked down and saw the calm river begin to stir violently.

"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

Asuma looked up to find Mu Yue standing on the riverbank, performing the Water Style jutsu and summoning a water dragon to churn through the river, making the water turbulent.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Asuma nearly lost his balance and fell into the water, unable to stop himself from complaining.

"I'm simulating a battle scenario for you. During a fight, the water won't be as calm as it is now," Mu Yue said with a grin.

"By the way, I'm also practicing my Water Style. The river and trees here make it the perfect place to train."

"Of course, if you think this is too much, I can stop. After all, admitting your shortcomings is a sign of wisdom," Mu Yue said with a teasing tone.

Asuma bit back the retort that was on the tip of his tongue. He wanted to prove he was capable, that he didn't need a tutor or his father's arrangements.

So, he focused entirely on his chakra control, determined not to fall into the water.

However, chakra control wasn't something one could suddenly improve in a short time, and the sudden surge of water posed a challenge to his movement skills.

Asuma managed to stay on the water for five minutes but finally slipped and fell into the river. Mu Yue quickly pulled him out.

"Looks like your chakra control still needs improvement. You can't start free training yet," Mu Yue said, feigning regret.

"If you hadn't used Water Style to interfere, I wouldn't have fallen!" Asuma retorted, frustrated.

"Do you expect your enemies to avoid using jutsu on you in battle?" Mu Yue replied calmly.

"I'm going again!" Asuma was even more determined to prove himself.

As the saying goes, desperate times don't always lead to success, but battles can sometimes trigger hidden potential. This time, Asuma managed to stay on the water for seven minutes, just three minutes short of the target.

After a short rest, he eagerly tried again, this time lasting seven and a half minutes.

By the time the sun was setting, Asuma finally managed to stay on the water for ten minutes.

"I did it!" Asuma yelled in triumph, but just as he finished celebrating, he lost control of his chakra and swallowed a mouthful of river water.

Mu Yue quickly pulled him out, and Asuma still had a look of excitement on his face.

"Now I can train whatever I want, right?" Asuma wiped the water from his face, happily asking.

"Who told you that?" Mu Yue asked, raising an eyebrow.

Asuma's smile froze, and he asked suspiciously, "Didn't you say that if I lasted ten minutes, I could train freely?"

"Yes," Mu Yue nodded. "But I said 'this time,' meaning the first time. You didn't succeed on your first try."

Asuma thought back, and indeed, Mu Yue was right!

All that effort, and for what?

Exhausted physically and mentally, Asuma nearly passed out from the shock.

Mu Yue's rebellious teaching methods had truly worn him down.

Meanwhile, Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had been observing secretly, stroked his beard, impressed by Mu Yue's teaching skills.

In just one afternoon of training, Asuma's movement and chakra control had greatly improved.

"Tomorrow, I will fight back!" Asuma silently vowed. Today, he felt like he had been thoroughly outsmarted.
