LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 19: New Rulers
The air inside the prince's castle was heavy with the metallic scent of blood. The once-proud banners of Pentos now hung limp, soaked with the despair of fallen soldiers.
Alex, Victor, Mark, Leon, and Manuul marched through the halls with a deadly purpose. Manuul, who had guided them through the castle's layout, watched in awe as Victor and Mark decimated the prince's guards.
Victor fired his silenced M4 rifle with precision, each bullet finding its mark. Mark moved with equal efficiency, his combat training evident in every calculated shot. The guards, armed with swords and shields, stood no chance. The black rifles spitting small metal balls pierced through their armor as if it were paper.
Manuul's hands trembled as he watched the carnage unfold. "This… this is not warfare. This is annihilation," he whispered.
Alex, walking calmly behind his soldiers, glanced at Manuul. "And it's only the beginning. Remember your place in this new world, and you'll live to see it thrive."
Manuul nodded vigorously, his loyalty firmly cemented.
The Prince's Final Moments,
Reaching the prince's quarters, they found him trembling behind a table, clutching at a goblet of wine. His once-arrogant demeanor was replaced by pure terror.
"Why… why are you doing this?" the prince stammered, his voice breaking.
Alex stepped forward, his expression cold. "You gave me nothing but a city filled with fear and greed. Your time is up."
As Alex said that he shot him in the leg, which made him fall and scream in pain and horror of these new weapons that he never saw before.
The prince fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. "Please, I'll do anything! Spare me!"
Alex raised his pistol, his voice steady. "Your greed has cost too many lives. Consider this justice."
With a single shot to the head, the prince collapsed. The room fell silent, the echo of the gunshot lingering.
Alex turned to Manuul. "Gather all the maids and servants. They need to see what comes next."
Manuul hurried to obey, his fear now mingled with respect.
Soon, the prince's quarters were filled with the castle's staff maids, servants, cooks, and guards who had surrendered. Alex stood at the forefront, joined by Daenerys, Raven, Leon, Victor, and Mark.
Alex's voice was firm as he addressed the crowd. "The old rule of Pentos has ended. Your prince is no more. I am your new king, and this" he gestured to Daenerys "is your new queen. She carries the legacy of the dragonlords."
Daenerys stepped forward, holding the dragon eggs. Gasps filled the room as the servants recognized the fabled treasures.
"She will be the Future Dragon Queen," Alex continued. "Under her and my rule, Pentos will rise. You will no longer live in fear of magistrates or corrupt rulers. We will build a city that stands strong against any threat be it from land or sea."
The crowd was silent, the weight of Alex's words sinking in. Many of them, tired of the greed and oppression of the magistrates, nodded in reluctant agreement.
That night, as the castle settled into its new order, Alex felt a familiar buzz in his mind.

He accessed his system to view the warship's specifications. It was sleek and modern, equipped with two 30mm machine guns at the front and rear, a radar system, and standard defensive capabilities. A full crew of professionals was listed, ready to take orders.
Daenerys, standing beside him, noticed his expression. "What happened?"
Alex turned to her, his smile unwavering. "We've just secured our future. This city is ours, and soon, no one will be able to challenge us."
Daenerys, holding the dragon eggs close, nodded. For the first time, she felt the weight of leadership but also the excitement of destiny.
"Congratulations host for completing first big mission of your life. As a reward, you get a CASTLE UPGRADE CARD".
As Alex used the card, there were small but subtle changes. Like instead of torches on walls there were small lamps, and all the bedroom had there own lamps and fans. On roof there were solar panels for all the electric usage and in the basement there was a huge electricity storage unit. As all this happen, Alex use this chance to show all the workers that he is a Magician and this was all his magic. He gave daenerys her seprate room and there were seprate rooms for all the four Leon, Raven, Victor, Mark. As for his freeed slaves they were in castle's training barracks.
The night passed quietly, but the dawn would mark the beginning of a new era for Pentos under the rule of Alex and Daenerys.
Today Alex planned to assign those units to design a financial plan and issue new laws and reduce taxes. He hadn't summoned them yet because he didn't know what to do with them yesterday. He had only summoned his small warship, told them one simple instruction that to keep eyes out during night time and destroy any enemies they see during the night. But for day time he wants them to stay away from any contact with anyone because he doesn't want to draw any attention on the warship. He wants to keep that as a surprise for any future attacks on pentos.
