Jikirukuto: Takoyuki Arc

Chapter 19: Prince Gabrielle's command silences accusations, Yuki mocks and handles drama with humor, but faces new disdain from nobles

Prince Gabrielle, looking like he walked out of a fashion magazine, stared coldly at the complaining old man. His look clearly said he had no more patience. Without blinking, Gabrielle said, "Enough. Guards, take him away." Just like that, the drama was over. One command, and it was done. A real power move.

---

The old man didn't leave quietly. He got very angry, his face turning red like a fire hydrant. He screamed, "You'll regret this! She's a thief, I tell you! A no-good THIEF!" It was a meltdown that made you want to offer him some tea to calm down. He was holding on to his accusations like a drowning man to a lifeboat.

---

Yuki, unfazed by the old man's outburst, added a final mocking touch. She cheerfully waved and said, "BYEEEEEEE!" As the guards took the old man away, she shouted, "Don't forget to leave a one-star review on your way out, Gramps!" The crowd laughed, enjoying the perfectly timed joke. For them, the show was over.

---

Gabrielle, always the concerned prince, turned to Yuki, slightly worried. "Are you alright?" he asked with genuine concern. "That got a little…intense."

---

Yuki waved off his concern with a flick of her wrist. "Oh, I'm perfectly chill, your royal SHININESS," she replied, teasing him. Then, she made an exaggerated bow, like on a theater stage. "Another day, another hater," she declared. "When will they learn I'm the G.O.A.T.?"

---

Gabrielle tried not to laugh. He managed a polite smile but looked amused. "You handled yourself admirably," he said carefully. "And if anyone questions you again, they will have to answer to me." His words showed he was very protective.

---

Yuki grinned with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Ohhh, protective prince vibes?" she teased. "Alright, Gabby. You handle the flexing, I'll handle the roasting. Big muscle, bigger mouth. Let's go!" They walked away, looking like a funny buddy-cop duo. Yuki even turned to an imaginary camera, winking. "And THAT, chat, is how you handle a Karen. 101. Serve 'em a side of sarcasm, let 'em self-destruct. EZ clap. Now," she added, "where's my takoyaki? I earned that snack."

---

But just as Yuki thought the drama was over, more chaos arrived. A group of well-dressed nobles came over, looking down on Yuki with disdain. "Clearly a common thief," one of them said disdainfully. "Just look at her—more attitude than refinement." Another noble, with a screechy voice, said, "How utterly disgraceful. Eating street food in public like some…peasant."

---

Yuki's face fell. She was done with the drama. She didn't sign up for dealing with both petty criminals and snobby elites in one day. She just wanted to enjoy her snack in peace. But now, she was stuck dealing with more insults. She really wanted to escape and disappear into the crowd, just to enjoy her takoyaki in peace.
