Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Words That Shock the World

The moment Odin's warning echoed, it was already too late. Thor's hand had touched Jane's shoulder. In that instant, deep crimson energy erupted from the point of contact, blasting Thor backward with immense force.

Jane also collapsed from the energy surge, but before she hit the ground, Han Yu caught her just in time.

"Her body can't withstand such an energy outburst. The longer this goes on, the more harm it will cause her."

Jane's lips had turned pale, a clear sign that the Reality Stone was draining her life force. Every self-protective energy surge took a heavy toll on her fragile human body.

Hearing Han Yu's assessment, Thor's eyes flickered with helplessness and guilt. This was unlike anything he'd ever faced, and he had no idea how to resolve it.

"If the Dark Elves still existed, there might be a way to extract it. But they were wiped out in my father's era," Odin said with a heavy sigh. Even he, with all his knowledge and experience, had limited understanding of the Infinity Stones. He never expected one would end up inside his son's beloved.

"No, they aren't all dead," Han Yu said calmly.

He knew that during the war, Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, along with some loyal followers, had escaped the battlefield and gone into deep hibernation in a hidden corner of the universe.

Their awakening was tied to the Reality Stone leaving its secure containment. Its presence would act as a beacon, calling them back.

By now, they were likely already preparing an attack on Asgard.

Odin narrowed his eyes. "How do you know that?"

The last time the Dark Elves had appeared, Earth's civilization hadn't even begun. How could a young human like Han Yu possibly know such ancient history?

Ignoring Odin's question, Han Yu focused on Jane. Threads of green energy flowed from his hand, weaving gently into her body. Jane's condition was deteriorating quickly—no ordinary human could endure the energy surges of an Infinity Stone.

To make matters worse, the Reality Stone was actively draining her life force. Along with the green energy, tiny golden specks glittered, merging into her body.

Thor asked, "What are you doing?"

"Saving her."

After a few tense moments, Jane's pale face gradually regained its color, turning rosy once more.

Odin, observing this miraculous recovery, couldn't help but ask, "What kind of power is this? I've never seen anything like it."

Han Yu opened his hand, revealing a small, bean-like object glowing faintly. "This is called a 'Senzu Bean.' No matter how severe an injury, it can heal it completely. I've made some improvements—it also enhances physical strength and promotes vitality."

Since Jane couldn't swallow the bean, Han Yu had used his green energy to grind it into fine particles and infuse them directly into her body.

Thor's eyes widened in shock. Even he could tell this was an incredibly rare and precious item. "You used something so valuable on her without hesitation?"

Odin's eyes gleamed with interest. "You run a shop, don't you? Can these... Senzu Beans be produced reliably?"

Han Yu smiled faintly. "Reliable supply isn't an issue, but they're not cheap."

Though he made it seem casual, Senzu Beans were immensely valuable. On Earth, a single bean could easily fetch billions on the market, with reclusive billionaires willing to pay exorbitant prices to ensure their family's legacy endured for generations.

No matter where it was, a bean capable of healing any injury instantly, enhancing physical strength, and even promoting beauty and vitality would always be highly coveted.

"Name your price."

For Odin, the ruler of Asgard and overseer of the Nine Realms, wealth was as insignificant as dust.

Han Yu rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Although he was technically just a shop assistant, he had full authority to set the prices for any items in the shop—whether high or low, it was entirely up to him.

While he was lost in thought, Jane slowly regained consciousness. Sensing the odd atmosphere in the room, she quietly asked Thor what had happened. After hearing the explanation, she nodded in understanding.

In a soft voice, Jane asked Thor, "Aren't Asgardians supposed to be gods? Don't gods have some kind of self-healing abilities?"

Thor shook his head and explained, "Not all Asgardians are gods. Compared to Earth, we're just an advanced alien race with technology far beyond your comprehension. When we first visited Earth, your people mistook our technology for divine power and called us 'gods.'"

Despite their advanced biology and resilience, Asgardians still experienced aging, illness, and injury. If Han Yu could provide a steady supply of these Senzu Beans, it would significantly boost Asgard's overall strength.

Thor still couldn't shake off the discomfort he felt about Han Yu. First, Han Yu had lifted Mjolnir, and now he had produced a miraculous item that not even Asgard possessed.

Seeing Han Yu deep in thought, Odin spoke up. "Thor, take Lady Jane to rest. I'll have a private discussion with him."

Knowing he couldn't contribute to the conversation, Thor nodded and guided Jane away to find a room where she could rest.

Odin led Han Yu to a lavish meeting chamber. In the center of the room was a round table laden with exotic fruits that looked both strange and delicious.

"Alright, here's my condition: I want command authority over the Asgardian Royal Guard."

Han Yu's words were bold and startling. The Asgardian Royal Guard was not a force to be handed over lightly. Each member was handpicked, and there were fewer than a hundred of them in total—a testament to their rarity and value.

Odin's brows furrowed, and he was about to speak when Han Yu continued, raising a hand to stop him. "I'm not asking for your soldiers to satisfy personal ambition. In exchange for an unlimited supply of Senzu Beans, I want the ability to command the Royal Guard—but only under one condition: if Earth is ever invaded by external forces, I want the authority to call upon them for Earth's defense. That's all."

He paused briefly before adding, "Also, your life seems to be nearing its end, isn't it?"

Those words hit Odin like a thunderclap. His eyes widened in shock as he stared at Han Yu, unable to comprehend how he knew such a deeply hidden secret.

Not even Frigga, Odin's wife, was aware of his deteriorating condition. Yet this young human seemed to know everything.

As Thor had explained, the Asgardians were not truly immortal gods but an advanced alien race. While their lifespan stretched over thousands of years and their physical resilience far surpassed that of humans, they were not immune to death.

Odin had fought countless battles across the Nine Realms, accumulating scars both visible and hidden. His time was indeed running out, just as Han Yu had said—and that time was approaching rapidly.
