Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

After unbinding the vines from Natsuhi, Kirito took the meteorite and led the group back to Hoshigakure. Natsuhi silently followed, her strength too drained to resist, though she had no intention of fleeing. She couldn't help but reflect on Kirito's strength.

"This boy... he developed such powerful jutsu from the Star? Have we been training the wrong way all along?"

Natsuhi's gaze remained on Kirito's back, her confusion deepening. She couldn't understand why he spared her life or why he insisted on taking her back to Hoshigakure.

Meanwhile, TenTen sighed as she played with her kunai. "Kirito, can't you stop for just a moment? You're making the rest of us feel like we're standing still. First, Light Release, and now you've already created a Bloodline Elimination? Is this what it means to be a genius?"

Rock Lee shared her sentiment. Though he once believed he could surpass geniuses with hard work, he no longer even considered Kirito a "genius" in the conventional sense. To Lee, Kirito's strength had surpassed even the legends of the Hokage.

As the group neared the entrance to Hoshigakure, Naruto came sprinting toward them, shouting in panic.

"Kirito! Subaru's been kidnapped by the intruder!"

"What? The intruder was captured earlier," TenTen said, confused.

Natsuhi's eyes widened, and she grabbed Naruto by the shoulders. "What do you mean? Where is Subaru?"

Naruto explained that after Kirito's group had left, Subaru had tried to locate the Star using its chakra signature. He and a few others found the intruder but were overpowered. The intruder then abducted Subaru.

"And the intruder used the same strange jutsu as Subaru and the others," Naruto added.

"That's impossible!" Natsuhi exclaimed. "The one who captured Subaru must be an imposter. It has to be someone from Hoshigakure."

Naruto blinked at her. "Wait, who are you, anyway?"

"I'm Natsuri, Subaru's mother. The one you're calling the intruder," she replied.

"WHAT?!" Naruto, TenTen, and Lee gaped in shock.

Kirito, however, remained calm. "I found Subaru's location. He's being held in Akahoshi's private medical room."

"Let's go!" Naruto shouted, eager to rescue his friend.

When the group reached the Hoshikage building, they found Akahoshi addressing a gathering of Hoshigakure ninjas.

"Oh, the Konoha ninjas have returned. Have you found the Star?" Akahoshi greeted them with a sly smile.

"Why did you take Subaru?!" Naruto yelled, pointing at him accusingly.

"Me?" Akahoshi frowned, pretending to be confused. "What proof do you have?"

Natsuhi stepped forward, her voice cold. "Why did you take Subaru? He's innocent."

Whispers broke out among the gathered ninjas.

"Is that Natsuri?"

"I thought she was dead!"

"She's the genius who mastered the Peacock Secret Technique..."

Akahoshi's face darkened as he realized Natsuhi's presence was destabilizing his authority. "As expected of Konoha's ninjas, you caught the intruder so quickly. Where's the Star?"

Kirito tossed the meteorite at Akahoshi, who caught it greedily. At the same time, Natsuhi addressed the crowd.

"Listen to me! I am Natsuri, and I've been working under the orders of the Third Hoshikage to prevent the village from using the Star for training. The Star's chakra is lethal—it causes fatal side effects, leading to severe illness and premature death. That's why the Third Hoshikage banned its use."

"Nonsense!" Akahoshi snapped. His glee at holding the Star was short-lived as her words began to sway the crowd. "Without the Star, Hoshigakure has no chance of standing against the Five Great Nations! It's the key to our future!"

"The gap between us and the Five Great Nations can't be bridged by a single meteorite," Natsuhi countered. "By continuing to use the Peacock Secret Technique, you're gambling the future of Hoshigakure itself!"

Her words struck a chord with the gathered ninjas, especially those who had seen talented comrades die young.

Frustrated, Akahoshi decided to demonstrate his power.

"I'll show you the strength of the Star!" he roared, performing hand seals. "Peacock Secret Technique: Beast Form!"

Behind him, a chakra beast began to form, its massive claws swiping at Natsuhi.

"Peacock Beast Form!" Natsuhi retaliated, summoning a larger beast that immediately overpowered Akahoshi's creation. Their clash devastated the square, forcing the other ninjas to retreat to safety.

"Hahaha! You may be a genius, but with the Star in my hands, you can't defeat me!" Akahoshi shouted.

He pressed the meteorite to his chest, absorbing its chakra. The Peacock Screen behind him flared brilliantly, his power surging. His chakra beast grew in size, forcing Natsuhi's to retreat.

But then, Akahoshi screamed in agony.

His body began to twist grotesquely. His muscles bulged unevenly, one of his eyes bulged from its socket, and his hair turned stark white. His body writhed unnaturally as it shriveled before the stunned onlookers.

The dazzling Peacock Screen behind him flared one last time before fading. The Star slipped from his withered hand and clattered to the ground. Akahoshi's skeletal body remained standing, a horrifying testament to the dangers of the Star.

Natsuhi turned to Kirito, her voice trembling. "What... what happened?"

Kirito shrugged. "Not my doing. That's what happens when you forcibly absorb the Star's chakra."

[The most I did was remove its safety locks,] he thought silently.

The crowd erupted into chaos.

"What happened to Akahoshi?"

"Is this what the Star does to people?"

"What about our children?"

No one dared to touch Akahoshi's corpse or the Star lying beside it. The villagers, once enamored by the Star's promise of power, were now consumed by fear.

Natsuhi knelt by the Star, her expression resolute. "This must end. The Star's training must be banned forever."

Kirito watched silently, his mind already moving on to the next challenge.
