Chapter 213: Susano'o Envelops the Great Buddha, A Solo Battle Against Iwagakure!
"Uchiha Haneda! You bastard!!"
Ōnoki's bloodshot eyes were fixed on Haneda. His son, Kitsuchi, had fallen at Haneda's hands, and the agony of losing his child momentarily robbed him of reason.
Ōnoki began to pour out his chakra recklessly, preparing to unleash a massive Dust Release to annihilate Haneda.
"Lord Tsuchikage, have you forgotten where we are?"
The voice of Rōshi reminded him of his surroundings. Ōnoki glanced around at the Iwagakure ninja in the camp. Gritting his teeth, he reined in his Dust Release.
Faced with the unbearable pain of losing his son and the safety of his village, he chose to prioritize his people.
"As expected of a shinobi, suppressing even the rage of losing a child," Haneda remarked coldly.
He withdrew his blade, allowing the blood to drip freely, the lifeless body of Kitsuchi slumping helplessly to the ground before him.
Ōnoki clenched his teeth, his voice trembling with fury.
"That Susano'o of yours… with the power of your eyes and chakra, you're surely at your limit now, aren't you?"
"Once the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan is exhausted, it can never recover!"
"Uchiha Haneda, I will ensure you die with no grave to be buried in!"
Ōnoki shouted his command, rallying the Iwagakure shinobi.
"Everyone, with me! Eliminate Uchiha Haneda from the face of the earth!"
At his order, the Iwagakure ninja began unleashing a coordinated barrage of jutsu. This strategy, Ōnoki's trademark, had once worn down even the Third Raikage. He planned to repeat history and crush Haneda.
The earth erupted into deadly spikes, jagged spears of stone hurtling toward Haneda. Above, a rain of sharp stone shards descended like a thousand arrows.
Surrounded on all sides, Haneda smirked and snapped his fingers.
"Ice Age!"
A wave of frigid air engulfed the battlefield, freezing the earth-spikes and halting the stone rain mid-air. The temperature drop stilled the Iwagakure shinobi's chakra-based jutsu, rendering them powerless.
Ōnoki frowned, watching Haneda with growing suspicion. The cold snap had drained much of Haneda's chakra; he appeared to have left himself no escape route.
Ōnoki sneered. "So, you've decided to dig your grave here, after all."
Haneda's response was a calm smirk. From his forehead, a sealing pattern emerged, and in an instant, his chakra reserves were replenished.
It was his Yang Seal, prepared in advance to ensure he could fight to the bitter end.
"What are you smirking at?" Haneda asked, leaping onto a nearby tower to meet Ōnoki's gaze.
Sweat beaded on Ōnoki's brow. Haneda's arsenal of abilities was overwhelming: Flying Thunder God, Mangekyō Sharingan, Dust Release, Ice Release… The man was a one-man army. Killing him would undoubtedly cost Iwagakure dearly, perhaps crippling the village for years.
Even so, Ōnoki made his decision. For the dignity of his village, Haneda had to die.
"Han! Rōshi! Hold nothing back!"
"All Iwagakure shinobi, no matter the cost, eliminate Uchiha Haneda!"
Rōshi and Han understood the stakes. The village's survival demanded they take extreme measures. Fully transforming into their Tailed Beast forms, they charged at Haneda with devastating power.
The battlefield quaked as the ground shattered beneath their immense strength. Haneda leapt from falling debris, narrowly evading their attacks.
Han, now the Five-Tails in full form, charged with its massive horns, giving Haneda no room to escape.
"Lightning Release—Totsuka Thunder—Kirin!"
Haneda raised his hand toward the sky, summoning a golden lightning dragon. The beast struck Han with a thunderous roar, forcing the Tailed Beast to howl in agony.
But Ōnoki seized the opening, unleashing his Dust Release in the chaos.
"Third Force: Susano'o!"
Haneda's Susano'o manifested again, shielding him from the Dust Release. At the same time, he clapped his hands together.
Massive green vines erupted from the ground, entangling the Iwagakure shinobi and forcing them back toward the center of the camp.
Haneda's chakra reserves, though vast, were finite. Facing tens of thousands of shinobi, even he would be worn down.
Just then, Rōshi unleashed a Tailed Beast Bomb. Ōnoki grinned.
Their strategy was flawless, a layered assault of relentless attacks that had felled the Third Raikage.
Haneda, feeling the overwhelming power of the Tailed Beast Bomb, sensed reinforcements approaching from the east. He turned toward the incoming group and recognized Kakashi leading a team of Konoha ninja.
"The three-year agreement hasn't ended yet… See you later, Kakashi," Haneda muttered.
Bringing his hands together, he entered Sage Mode.
"No more holding back!"
"Sage Art—Wood Release—True Several Thousand Hands!"
A towering statue of a thousand-armed Buddha emerged, hundreds of meters tall. Haneda's Susano'o enveloped the great statue, its golden light illuminating the battlefield.
The Tailed Beast Bomb was caught effortlessly in the statue's hand.
This was the combined might of the First Hokage's Wood Release and the ultimate Susano'o of the Uchiha!
Standing atop the golden colossus, Haneda resembled a god descending to Earth. His black hair billowed in the wind, his presence suffocating.
From afar, Obito felt the shockwaves of Haneda's power. He released the ROOT ninja he had been holding, turning to gaze at the light emanating from the Iwagakure camp. Beneath his mask, a faint smile appeared.
Kakashi and his team halted their advance.
Under the sun, Haneda stood on the golden Buddha, radiating an aura of absolute dominance.
"It seems he doesn't need us anymore," Kakashi said with a smile.
"Let's go. It's time to end this two-year war with Iwagakure."
Back in the camp, the Iwagakure shinobi were paralyzed with fear, their weapons falling from trembling hands.
Ōnoki looked up at the massive Buddha, despair clouding his eyes. The statue dwarfed even the combined might of the Four-Tails and Five-Tails.
"Is this really power that humans can wield?" Ōnoki muttered. "Even Uchiha Madara wouldn't stand a chance against this…"
Haneda stood atop the Buddha, arms crossed. His voice carried across the battlefield.
"Have you finally run out of strength?"
"Did you think of this moment back when you killed my teacher, Ōnoki?"
Ōnoki listened in silence, picking up a small rock. Memories of the Will of Stone flashed in his mind.
"Everything I've done has been for my village!" he declared, crushing the stone in his hand.
Ōnoki unleashed all his remaining chakra, rallying the Iwagakure ninja for one final attack.
The battlefield erupted with united jutsu, Tailed Beast Bombs, and Dust Release—all aimed at Haneda.
Haneda left behind a Wood Clone to manage the onslaught and used Flying Thunder God to escape.
The golden Buddha faltered under the relentless assault, eventually collapsing into dust.
Ōnoki, exhausted, began to laugh.
"I've won! Iwagakure has triumphed!"
"No… you've lost."
A silver blade pierced through Ōnoki's chest.
The Tsuchikage turned to see Haneda, his Mangekyō Sharingan staring him down coldly.
"Y-You… coward!"
"This is the way of the shinobi," Haneda replied, withdrawing his blade before vanishing with Flying Thunder God.
