OH! MY WEI

Chapter 10: The morning after

Chapter 10: The Morning After

"Contract? Can't we just sign that tomorrow?" Princess Hua asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"Princess, signing the contract tomorrow? Are you trying to dupe me?" Wei replied gently, a teasing smile playing on his lips.

"No, no! Why would I dupe you? I am a woman of my word," Princess Hua insisted, rising to her feet with determination.

"Here, Princess," he said, handing her the paper.

"Hmm," she murmured, taking it from him. Her eyes widened as she read the terms. "What! This is thousands of taels! Is the General's mansion hungry? How can you expect me to pay this kind of money every month and also agree to a divorce after six months? Are you trying to use me? I'm the one who's about to be duped here!" she exclaimed, raising the contract in disbelief.

"Princess, if you can't sign this, why don't we just divorce tonight? How do you think the Emperor will react if he finds out you aren't pregnant?" Wang Wei asked, his gaze steady as he looked at her from his wheelchair.

Princess Hua smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes. "Alright, I will sign this later," she said, trying to regain control of the situation.

"No, Princess. I hate talking too much. It would be better to sign it now," he insisted.

"Okay," she relented, pulling out her amulet to stamp it.

"No, Princess. Not just your amulet; I need your blood as well," Wei said, his tone serious.

"I should cut my finger to sign this?" she asked, her eyes narrowing as she met Wang Wei's cold gaze. "Fine, I will," she said defiantly. She stamped the contract with her amulet and then pricked her finger to add her blood, handing it over to Wang Wei.

Wang Wei wheeled himself outside, leaving her with a mix of frustration and disbelief. "I can't believe this gangster," Princess Hua muttered under her breath, glaring at his retreating figure.

"Your Highness, are you okay?" Chen Xui, who had just entered, asked with concern.

Princess Hua nodded, still fuming. "That Wei is something else. He wants to dupe me," she said, her voice laced with indignation.

"Princess," Chen Xui said, looking into her eyes with concern.

"I'm okay," Princess Hua replied, though her mind was racing.

"Princess, have your rest early," Chen Xui suggested, helping her onto the bed before leaving the room. But sleep eluded her; the change of environment was unsettling. Hours later, Wang Wei returned, moving closer to the bed.

"Wang, don't let us do this. I'm not ready to consummate the wedding with you," Princess Hua said as he reached for something near her.

He smiled slightly, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. "Princess, do you want to consummate the wedding?" he asked in a low voice.

"No, we can't do this now," she insisted, watching as he finally took the bed cover.

"I never thought the princess's mind was full of such thoughts. Here, take this," he said, stretching the bed cover and pillow toward her.

"What's this for?" she asked, puzzled.

He gestured with his eyes for her to sleep on the floor, but she didn't understand. "Princess, I don't like sharing my bed," he said, his tone firm.

"Then where will I sleep?" she asked, her voice rising in disbelief. "How can you tell me to sleep on the floor? I am a princess! My name is Qian Hua!"

But Wang Wei offered no reply as he began to undress for bed.

"Princess, it seems you are enjoying my appearance," he teased, catching her off guard.

Princess Hua quickly covered her eyes and turned her head away. *He's not looking bad,* she thought, swallowing hard.

In the dead of night, as she slept soundly, a sound of stones being thrown against wood echoed through the room. Wang Wei, now awake, quietly changed into different clothes, donning a mask over his face. Who would have guessed that Cripple Wang Wei wasn't crippled at all? He slipped out of the room, ensuring she remained undisturbed.

"Young Master, everything is set," Bao whispered to him as he stepped outside.

The next morning, as sunlight streamed through the window, Princess Hua stirred awake, only to find herself in an unexpected position. She was lying beside Wang Wei, her leg draped over his, and her arms across his body. She was naked, having been dressed in the clothes from the previous day.

"Your Highness, it's time to take your bath!" Chen Xui called from outside.

"Your Highness!" she said again, but there was no response. Chen Xui, growing concerned, entered the room with a few maids from the Wang mansion.

"Princess!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock as she took in the scene before her. The maids gasped and quickly turned to flee, leaving the room in a flurry of embarrassment.

Princess Hua and Wang Wei jolted awake, both shouting in unison, "Ah!"

Princess Hua scrambled to sit up, realizing her state of undress. Wang Wei, eyes closed tightly, turned his head away.

"Princess, you... you took advantage of me," he stammered, still not daring to look at her.

"Me? You're the one who—" she started, but the words caught in her throat as she
