Rebirth of the Ninth Princess

Yuanjiu heard Aunt Yue addressing someone, "Greetings to Noble Consort Yu," followed by the sound of chaotic footsteps approaching the doorway.

"Be good, Your Highness. Please, don't make a sound," Hanxue whispered as she laid Yuanjiu on the bed and quickly stepped out from behind the screen.

Yuanjiu's hearing was far sharper than ordinary people's, which allowing her to clearly catch the conversation outside.

"How dare you a mere servants to not kneel when you see me?" Noble Consort Yu demanded, her tone sharp and imposing.

Hanxue swallowed her anger and knelt down in deference.

Although Hanxue hesitated, she still keep her tone steady but humble. "The Ninth Princess currently asleep, Your Highness. I did not dared to disturb her."

"I only want to take a look. Do you think I'm going to eat her?"

Yuanjiu had cried on purpose.

She didn't know why Noble Consort Yu wanted to see her, but she figured it didn't matter if she was seen.

Her cry was a signal of consent.

Hanxue quickly went inside.

After a moment of thought, she cast an illusion spell on Yuanjiu's face before carrying her out.

Yuanjiu blinked at her, unaware that she had been transformed into a hideous-looking baby.

Noble Consort Yu cast a disdainful glance at them before slowly leaning in to take a look.

At the sight, she turned her head away in disgust, the relief on her face evident.

She sat back down and feigned sympathy, saying, "How could the Ninth Princess be so ugly? It's truly a disgrace to His Majesty."

Aunt Yue, who had kept her distance earlier, immediately guessed that Hanxue had tampered with Yuanjiu's appearance.
