The God of calamity’s wife book 2: return of the 13th

"What is?" She asked confused. 

"Do you remember when I was at the police academy and every time I got hurt in training, you felt my pain?!" 

"Yeah…" She said slowly, unsure of where he was going with this. 

"I just felt pain when I wasn't fighting anyone! I was literally being sliced with claws! The nightmares, the strange emotional feelings, the anxiety!!!" He said jumping up and pulling her to her feet. She felt his excitement when he grabbed her by the hands. 

It dawned on her too, "are you saying you have another blood bond?" She asked.

"It has to be!" 

"But so…. you have another wife?!!!!!" 

"I don't know, that would be weird I think." Sirius responded, "but if it wasn't a blood bond then how else would you explain it?" 

She shook her head. "I don't know." Her eyes had a glint of worry.

He ran to the bedroom and put some clothes on, grabbing his car keys and some blood packs he practically tripped over his shoes as he put them on. 

"Where are you going?" She asked in alarm. 

"I have to find out where this other blood bond is!" 

Maeve's look of worry changed, she seemed a bit irritated now. "But, if you do have another wife, then why would you want to find her? I mean, she seems really dangerous! Maybe you died because of her! You should just stay with me, right?"

He opened the front door and then grasped her hand tightly, she felt the habit of pulling away, but he held on firmly. It made her nervous a bit. She looked up at him and his eyes calmed her down. 

"Maeve, I have to do this, I have to find answers. That is who I am in the deepest part of my soul, I can't just ignore this. I'm going to go to Loki, he will have answers, I am sure." 

"Then let me come with you." She begged him, and took ahold of his hand, "If you get hurt, I don't know what I would do. Let me come, I can help you." 

Then love emanated from her and ran from her hand into his and he felt himself begin to heat up as blood rushed to his head and his mind ran a little wild, he rotated his wrist, adjusting his grasp of her hand to pull her towards him by her fingertips. He pulled her close to him and his fangs desired after her neck again. 

'Bite her it's easy.' His mind said. 'You need the strength for the road.'

"Oh Maeve, you're touching me too much, it makes me want your blood." He said dangerously.

He shut the front door, and he picked her up and began carrying her.

"No wait, I'm not ready Sirius!"

I don't want you I just want your blood his voice came out like a beast.

She looked at him with horror as he placed her on the bed and shut and locked the door.

"No!" She trembled, "Sirius no!"

He whipped his head a bit and his beastly eyes went red again but he wasn't in much control.

My memories, I need to remember why I don't want to do this! He plead with himself and then taz stopped.

Saoirse. The word came to his mind. Because of her and her wolf. And then the feeling of bloodlust stopped.

Maeve ran screaming from the room as he fell over asleep on the floor.

"I can't do it Loki I can't! Loki take me away from him, save me!" She prayed.

And then she vanished.

"Sirius tried to eat me!" Maeve wailed.

Sigyn did her best to calm her down. She covered her with a blanket because her skin was scratched and her shirt was gone. "It's alright honey. You can return to him later, I'm sure you can work things out. We need you to be with him sweetheart."

"No! He scares me!"

"Just leave her alone mom!" Vali suddenly came to her rescue. "Can't you see she needs to take a bread from him?"

He took her hand and pulled her away to the couch. "Here, watch some tv. You can stay here." He said pointedly at his mother.

Then at his father.

Loki smiled. "Ok then Vali. But the timeline with you making that Choice is a hard one."

Vali didn't care. "She can to with him later." He said assuring Maeve not now. If she decides to." He added.

When he came to, Sirius pushed away his lustful feelings in an instant, it was like the beast inside of him remembered something he couldn't. It was like the thought of biting her now offended it.

 He attempted to clear his mind. He had taken off Maeve's shirt revealing her sports bra underneath. He had done this unconsciously and also scratched her arms and back with his nails, 'when had he done that?' He thought confused as if he had missed some time somehow.

"Oh I'm so sorry Maeve." He said to the empty apartment.

Saoirse sat down on the bed next to Aksel and then lay there for a while holding her rounded belly until he started snoring. It bothered her she couldn't remember him being the father but he did seem to be a fire breathing beast like whatever would have gotten her pregnant.

She decided to go for a swim to clear her head.

She went to the bathroom and put on a sleek, black swimsuit which had holes that showed the sides of her midsection. She was slender and the swimsuit had a skirt that had a flowy handkerchief hem.

It had a V-neck halter top neckline that came up pretty modestly and had intricate mesh detailing.

She liked how comfortable it was and it didn't really bring attention to herself, but she also looked sophisticated. 

She unbraided her hair and tied it up in a ponytail. She placed her beads in a jewelry box in her suitcase. 

She took a moment to finger the necklace that she had kept from that vampire she had first killed, and then sighed and closed the box. It was a locket of his family. She planned to return it someday. This pack stuff was a burden to her.

She rubbed her belly. "Don't worry babies we will get far from here very soon."
