Chapter 13: 13- dinner with the alpha
Aksel insisted they were getting stronger and closer to her goals, but she felt like every day, she was just getting further and further from her self.
Now she had killed probably 100 vampires and infiltrated five werewolf packs, with Aksel always killing the alphas using his beast because he felt like they would not respect her authority if left alive. Nobody lived who witnessed his beast except for her. He told her if she didn't become the Luna of each pack they went to, she would keep having to fight her way from the bottom to the top, and perhaps the war would reach her loved ones before she found them, referring to her parents and siblings who he already knew were dead, but she didn't remember it.
She supposed it was fine. In only a matter of months, they had made a lot of progress according to him. He was the father or so he claimed of her children so what should she do?
She draped a black swimsuit cover dress around her waist and tied it before pulling her arms through the sleeves and grabbed her towel, then exited the bathroom and walked quietly past him on the bed and headed out of the door. She didn't feel anything for him though so it was a bit hard to believe.
She reached the pool and plunged into the cool water and swam laps for a while trying to clear her head. Tomorrow Aksel wanted to confront the Alpha and she hoped it would be an easy surrender. That way she wouldn't have to kill anybody.
Some packs had thrown an army before her and she had drowned in bloodshed in order to survive. The images flashed in her mind over and over and she swam faster trying to quit thinking about it.
With each stroke, she beat the water with her fingers, the feeling reminded her of the action of slicing her claws through flesh. However, it cleansed her in a therapeutic way because she knew it was water, and with each stroke, she felt like she was washing the blood away.
As she reached the wall she turned around and kicked off and began swimming faster, her body warming up and her breaths were quick as she turned her head for air and then plunged it back into the water, holding her breath once again.
She reached the wall again and did a front flip and kicked off again, feeling a bit of her anger release as she beat the water. Anger that her innocence had been slowly, yet quickly taken away. Tears filled her eyes and she kept them shut tightly and she reached the wall again and kicked off again. Her mind drifted in a steady flow until she had pushed away her pain.
After a while, she slowed down and got out of the water. She dried herself with her towel and wrung out her hair. Her coverup was hung on a hook and she removed it and draped it over herself once again.
Heading back to the room, she noticed the door was open. Aksel wasn't on the bed anymore.
'Where had he gone?' She entered and looked around but he wasn't in the room. "Aksel?" She called as she checked the bathroom. When she turned around, a man in a suit with sunglasses covering his eyes stood behind her.
"Hello Miss Timoteusdotter," he said in a deep voice, "The Alpha of the Pembrookshire pack has asked me to invite you for dinner."
"He has already picked up your companion as incentive to attend. We will be sure to send a car for you in an hour if you would like time to get ready." He added and then left the room shutting the door.

An hour later, she stood outside the hotel.
She wasn't sure if this was an occasion that would be peaceful, or if she would have to confront the Alpha tonight instead of tomorrow, but she chose to dress elegantly in a dress that she had bought for such occasions.
It was a steely blue evening dress with a flowing A-line figure. It had a tulle overlay on the skirt that extended from the waist to the floor and a deep V-neckline with delicate lace detailing, a lace overlay of flowers with some sequins added a slight shimmer to it. The dress had a soft, romantic silhouette feeling and the sleeves were flowy and comfortable, making her look ethereal.
It seems that it really was a dinner invitation. She notice that Aksel had taken his suit with him.
Underneath her dress she wore her athleisure wear that could cover her body in the case that she had to fight. It had a swan crop athletic bra that also had lace, so it wasn't noticed able under her dress, and had straps that tied in the back, so it could stand alone and looked like something you could wear jogging.
The pants also had straps that crossed over her belly, so it gave the asthetic that it was a one piece. The length of her dress allowed for her pants to not be seen.
She wore a pair of elegant flats with white beads to match her headband. They would have to be ruined if she needed to transform her feet, but at least she didn't wear heels.
She had tied back the upper section of her hair loosely and had a slight wave to her long hair, and wore a bridal style headband that had white beads cascading.
As the car pulled up, the gangsters got out and opened the door for her. She got in with a privelaged demeanor, showing no weakness despite her rounded belly.
The men looked at each other but said nothing about it. Probably they judged her for endangering her young. But they didn't know that her belly was a rock hard time bomb that would stab them if they disturbed it. Nor did they know that while pregnant she could breathe fire.
