The Married Life Of Immortals

Lysia looked back up at her future husband with a sense of awe and wonder, almost like she was seeing him for the first time. This woman was considered to be one of the most dangerous women in the village, even more than herself. Yet, her husband had the woman tied and placed at her feet like a gift. No, it was a gift that very few in this world could have ever had the nerve to even try to obtain.

"Did you really just go get her for me?" Lysia asked in a small voice since her head was still splitting in pain, even though she knew it was true.

This was when Harmony finally decided to speak up after being unceremoniously dropped on the wooden flooring. "He destroyed my house right after I walked out of it! I could have been killed! Look how injured... Get away from me, you savage! Ahh!"

Bane had walked over and stepped on her back near the base of her neck, flattening the woman to the ground.

"If I hear you speak, it had better be either removing the curse on Lysia, or telling me how. I am not in the mood for anymore of your bullshit. I had warned you the first time we met to leave Lysia alone, and that she was important to me. Yet, you still put a curse on her, yes?"

"It was a joke! It just made her mortal! Nothing more! Oww! Stop it!" Harmony screamed, and then her words trailed off when she felt Lysia's fingers on her temple.

"A joke? Well, you should have thought of the consequences before you put the curse on me. If you think I am a loose cannon, then they will have to think of a new word when it comes to the man I love!" Lysia said, but then stumbled back clutching at her head, before running back to the bathroom to puke again.

Bane sighed, and then knelt down, putting more pressure on the back of Harmony's head. "I believe you were about to explain how to remove the curse."

Harmony tried to move, but the pain in her head was too intense. She had never been treated so roughly in the two hundred years she had been alive. "If I... Release the curse, then the effects will fade slowly over the next few days. She won't have to deal with the sickness anymore, and the curse will be removed, but if you think I will leave the village after this..."

"Leave? You have to teach me curses, and I am more interested after seeing the application of one like this. It is clear that they will be useful," Bane said and then took his foot off her, and started to untie her.

"You are just going to let me go?" Harmony asked with disbelief, and Bane stopped untying her.

"Are you not going to do as I asked?" Bane asked, his tone becoming dangerous, but Harmony nodded quickly.

"Yes! But are you not worried about me after?" She asked as Bane finished taking her purple bonds off, letting her stand back up.

"I want to show you something," Bane said, and then his image flicked, and Harmony felt a finger touch five different vital points all over her body at the same time. "You just died five times."

"Wha-what do you mean?" Harmony asked, looking down at herself in shock, feeling at each place she had been touched.

"If I want you dead, it will take but a heartbeat. I am not looking to start a fight with you, but you did the unthinkable, and touched the only thing I care about. I am pretty sure that I warned you I would pop both your eyes if you cursed me again without my permission. Why in the hell do you think I would do less if you did it to Lysia? Or is there something I am missing here?" Bane asked, crossing his arms.

Before she could answer, Lysia growled from the bathroom. "Undo the curse first, and then you can chat all you like!"

Harmony nodded quickly, and then walked into the bathroom, and touched Lysia's head. She then said some strange words that made Bane's skin crawl, and then Harmony pulled her hand away, and left the bathroom to stand before Bane.

"I am finished, can I go? I have to go move my house now," Harmony asked without meeting Bane's eyes.

"No, not yet. I still have a few questions," Bane said, and Harmony's face twisted with displeasure, but she nodded.

"Fine, what do you want to know?"

"When are you going to be free to start the training?" Bane started with, and Harmony tried not to narrow her eyes, but failed.

"As soon as I can get the rock off my house. I will be waiting after that for you to come when you please. It is not like I am doing anything," Harmony replied, and then moved over to the door.

"Wait," Bane commanded, and Harmony froze in place.

"I will hear your word that you will not bother Ezio or Morgana after this. You tried to drag them into your problem, so consider them my close friends," Bane said, and Harmony let out a snort, but quickly covered her mouth and nose.

"Do you want me to swear to that in blood? Will that satisfy you?" Harmony asked, and then pulled a small knife from a pocket on her dirty white dress.

"That will be fine," Bane said, and Harmony held out her hand, and made a cut in the meaty part of her hand, and then she turned and put her bleeding palm against the wall.

"I, Harmony, will never intentionally harm, or bring any sort of ill will upon the man Ezio, and his companion, Morgana. So mote it be!"

When she said these words, her blood turned into smoke and seeped into the wall, and Bane could tell that it was a contract that Harmony was forced to adhere to, or die. He wasn't sure how he knew, but he assumed it was something to do with Eve's perception skill.

'I have been cataloging all the information you have been gathering, and this was in one of the books you read. While I can't be certain, it seems like she is now taking you more seriously,' Eve said for the first time in a while.

"Now, can I leave?" Harmony asked, and Bane nodded.

"I'll be by in a bit to remove the rock, and then we can have my lesson," he said, and Harmony nodded, leaving without another word.

After Harmony was gone, Lysia came out of the bathroom looking relieved, but also tired. She went and sat on the bed and motioned for Bane to join her, which he did. Lysia pulled him down to the bed, and then cuddled into him. She had been through many ordeals in her life, but she had almost always faced them alone. This was the first time someone had ever done something so brazen for her, and it made her feel emotions she hadn't known existed with her body.

"What is wrong?" Bane asked, and Lysia shook her head.

"Nothing, I just... No one has ever done anything like this before. I could have gone and forced her, but it probably would have gotten ugly. Not that what you did sounds much better... Did you really hit her house with a rock?"

"Fucking destroyed it. I know what her presence feels like, and I timed my throw just as I knew she was coming out. I also owe Ezio for stealing part of his outfit to tie the witch up," Bane admitted, and Lysia giggled.

"You really are my hero, you know?" Lysia said, cuddling into him, but Bane snorted, wrapping his arms around her.

"I am not a hero. I am your husband, and no man or woman shall ever do you wrong while I breathe, or so help them," Bane said, and the serious tone in his voice made Lysia look up at him.

"Will you protect me and keep me safe?" Lysia asked in a playful tone, and Bane nodded, leaning in and kissing her. She didn't refuse it, and the two laid there for a moment, before pulling apart.

"Can you be this cute all the time?" Bane asked, and Lysia raised her eyebrow.

"Promise to be this nice and sweet to me?" She retorted, and both of them burst out laughing, and Lysia pushed him away. "You have things to do, and I probably should go talk to Bilgarth."

"About what? Thinking of taking over his job? Maybe become one of his assistants?" Bane teased, but then Lysia shook her head, putting her hand on the side of his face.

"And this is why we will never change," Lysia said, and then a purple spell ring formed on Bane's cheek, electrocuting him with millions of volts of energy.

Bane cried out, but didn't try and get away, or push her off. After a few moments, she stopped and pulled away. "Now go to your other appointments, but I will stop by and talk with Stella, so you can skip her today. Maybe it might be best to go see if Bilgarth has more people for you to learn from. Don't forget to mention the other reason why you are going to see him, or I will give you another shocking experience."
