Chapter 19: Harry's Change

Three days later, at St. John's Cathedral. After being scolded by Norman that day, Harry left home and chose to live outside for a while. This time, he came to St. John's Cathedral in Manhattan. Thunder and lightning clashed outside, and there was a violent storm. As gloomy as he felt now, Harry was constantly thinking about how to make his father think more highly of him. It never occurred to him that maybe, as his father had said, he was truly useless.

"Boom!!" The lightning outside was deafening, and the entire cathedral was plunged into an instant of darkness, adding to the already gloomy atmosphere. "What's the matter? Didn't they pay the electricity bill?" Harry grumbled in dissatisfaction, his mood sour.

The bright flashes of lightning made the church clearly visible, as if a light was being switched on and off rapidly. Suddenly, Harry felt a chill on the back of his hand. He looked closely and saw thick black liquid dripping onto it. "What's this?" Harry stretched out his other hand to touch it, but the liquid clung to his skin, refusing to come off.

In the next moment, the same liquid dripped from his shoulder. More and more black liquid began falling from the sky, writhing wildly as if alive. Harry became completely panicked and frantically tried to shake off the substance. "Ahh!" The liquid gradually covered his entire body and even began seeping into his nose and throat. He felt increasing pain: "Ahhhhhh!!"

Another flash of thunder illuminated a black monster, full of sharp fangs, roaring wildly. "Ho ho ho ho!!"

Early morning. "Ah!" Harry opened his eyes and looked around, wiping the cold sweat from his brow, relieved it was just a dream. He examined his body with some fear but felt an unusual strength emanating from within, a constant source of power. Harry had never experienced anything like it before.

"Dingling, dingling~" The phone on the table suddenly rang. Harry stepped forward to pick it up and glanced at the caller ID. Hesitating for a moment, he finally answered: "Hey, Peter, what's the matter?"

"Harry, I'm in Manhattan too. Do you want to have dinner together?"

"No..." Harry started to refuse but caught sight of himself in the mirror. His once-thin body had become stronger overnight, and his demeanor had slightly changed. "I mean, definitely, where's the location?"

"That's great, I'll send you the address." Peter hung up, and a new message appeared in Harry's inbox.

"Hi Harry, I haven't seen you for a few days. Your demeanor has improved a lot." After Peter and Harry met, Peter hugged him warmly and then took a closer look at Harry. "And you're much stronger. Have you been exercising recently?"

"Yes, I've been bored recently, so I started exercising." The two had lunch in a very ordinary western restaurant. During this time, Peter consistently initiated topics to discuss, while Harry responded perfunctorily, lacking interest. Peter wasn't bothered by this but was somewhat worried about Harry's mental state.

"Three days ago, the Ghost Spider and the Black Spider fought two villains in the Osborn Building. The conflict was triggered by Doctor Octopus' hatred for Norman. In the end, the two heroically defeated the villains." The following picture showed Norman being interviewed, and eight out of ten sentences were polite words praising the Ghost Spider and the Black Spider. Many believed it, including his son Harry. Everyone was drawn to what was on the TV, and it made Harry feel something called jealousy.

"Harry, they're great, aren't they?" Peter pointed to their two friends on the TV and praised them to Harry with a smile. "Do you think so too..."

"What?" Peter didn't catch it, because Harry's voice was so low that even if he were Superman, he couldn't hear it. Harry got up with a gloomy face and was about to leave. "Thank you for the treat, Peter, I should go."

"Harry, Harry, wait." Harry didn't listen to Peter's persuasion and walked out the door without any hesitation. Peter looked at Harry's departing back with some concern, but the next second he heard news that shocked him.

"By the way, Scorpion's real identity is a private detective who is struggling, and Doctor Octopus' real identity is Dr. Otto, well-known in the industry." "No, Dr. Otto."

Harry, who was walking outside, strode violently into a dark alley and used his strength to lift the surrounding walls to vent his anger. "Hey hey hey, whose son is this? Recently, the brothers are a little short of money, and I want to ask you," a familiar criminal, a black man, led several men to Harry's back. But he saw that Harry ignored him completely and just stood there, which made him furious.

"I asked you something!" The man's roar seemed to have an effect. Harry turned around slowly and smiled evilly at the men. "I feel it, new power." The black liquid gradually spread throughout his body, and a tall and strong black figure appeared in front of everyone.

"Ahhh!!"
