Chapter 77 - Rough Caregiver II
“Do you want psychological counselling?” Bai Xi crossed one leg and sat on the edge of the bed.
Liu Chunchun quickly shook his head.
Bai Xi observed him carefully. “Are you sure?”
“My mind is a little confused,” Liu Chunchun said honestly. “I just want to be alone for a while.”
“Okay.” Bai Xi patted his shoulder. “Call me anytime if you need anything.”
Han Zhuo was waiting for him in the living room. Bai Xi quietly closed the door of the guest bedroom and took Han Zhuo all the way to the study.
“How’s it going?” he asked. “Is Linda okay?”
Han Zhuo handed over the phone, and the screen displayed Linda’s current situation in real time. She was sleeping on the experimental table, and the data instruments next to her showed that all indicators were normal.
“Deep coma, but not life-threatening,” Han Zhuo said. “I will go and talk to him in person at nine o’clock tomorrow morning.”
“Is it just you?” Bai Xi asked in a low voice. “But according to the previous plan, Wang Yuanchen was supposed to get close to Shi Tian.”
“This is indeed the plan, but nothing develops exactly according to the plan,” Han Zhuo said. “Besides, his current condition is not very good. To be able to take the initiative to find Shi Tian is already far beyond my expectations.”
“Chunchun’s mood seems to be pretty good, except that the injury on his neck is a bit bad,” Bai Xi added after a while. “He said he wanted to calm down.”
“It was my mistake,” Han Zhuo said. “Yuanchen is a qualified bodyguard, but that is only under a pure employment relationship and does not include other emotions.”
“It’s not entirely your fault,” Bai Xi shook his head. “I would never have imagined that he would do such a thing. He is completely a lunatic who has lost his mind.”
“Go and rest.” Han Zhuo helped him straighten his collar. “I’ll talk to him first about Chunchun, Linda, and our plan.”
“Now?” Bai Xi asked. “Where is he?”
“If I guessed correctly, he should be nearby,” Han Zhuo dialled the phone.
Sure enough, ten minutes later, Wang Yuanchen appeared downstairs in the apartment. He had a cigarette in his mouth, his hair messy in the cold wind, and his collar open. The apartment manager suddenly raised his head, thinking he was a homeless man.
There was a self-service cafe on the tenth floor, open 24 hours.
Wang Yuanchen sat on the sofa and asked, “Is he okay?”
“It’s time to rest,” Han Zhuo put a cup of hot tea in front of him. “He said he wanted to calm down alone.”
“Thank you,” Wang Yuanchen lowered his eyes.
“He didn’t yell at you, nor did he complain or cry about himself. Instead, he was taking medicine and resting,” Han Zhuo said. “So, I hope you can be like a man and leave this bad thing temporarily.”
Wang Yuanchen frowned slightly and looked up at him.
“Xiao Bai will take good care of Chunchun, and this is what we should do now,” Han Zhuo pushed the phone over and said, “Save her out.”
“She could come out on her own.” Wang Yuanchen glanced at the girl on the screen.
“She could indeed come out on her own, but were you sure you wanted to waste this opportunity?” Han Zhuo reminded him. “Only when the underground warehouse disappeared, Chunchun would be safe, and you could apologize openly like ordinary people. Then, no matter what—whether it was sending flowers, confessing your love, or writing an antique love letter—you could let him develop a good impression of you again.”
“Is it still possible?” Wang Yuanchen asked hoarsely.
“It depends on your performance.” Han Zhuo leaned back on the sofa. “But if it continued like this, it definitely wouldn’t work.”
Wang Yuanchen picked up the coffee in his hand and drank it in one gulp.
“Linda just showed her affection for you, and this is the person you really like.” Han Zhuo continued. “Are you willing to keep hiding this matter, or do you want to solve the root cause of the trouble once and for all and keep him away from danger completely?”
“What do you think?” Wang Yuanchen finally asked.
“At nine o’clock tomorrow morning, I would go to the underground warehouse.” Han Zhuo said. “You’d come here to protect Xiao Bai and Chunchun, but it would be best not to show your face.”
Wang Yuanchen nodded. “Okay.”
Han Zhuo threw over another card.
“What is this?” Wang Yuanchen picked it up.
“I have rented the building’s access card and the room next to Xiao Bai an hour ago.” Han Zhuo said. “It only has simple furniture for the time being, and the door password is 8707.”
.
At midnight, a cold wind blew outside the window, blowing away the dim stars in the sky.
Bai Xi shook Han Zhuo and asked him, “Were you asleep?”
“Asleep.” Mr. Han replied calmly.
Bai Xi covered his nose and ordered, “No sleeping.”
Han Zhuo had no choice but to open his eyes.
“I really feel sorry for Chunchun.” Bai Xi sat on the bed. “His life seemed to have been completely disrupted by me.”
“Then what should we do?” Han Zhuo sighed, frowning cooperatively, and raising his eyebrows into a figure-eight shape.
Bai Xi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, so he reached out and slapped him. “I feel guilty sincerely.”
“I am sincerely acknowledging your guilt.” Han Zhuo put his arm around his waist. “But obviously, staying up late at night couldn’t comfort Chunchun, huh?”
“I need psychological enlightenment.” Bai Xi sat across from him with his legs crossed.
“Okay.” Mr. Han nodded and brought his face closer. “Pay the medical fee first.”
